Guest JumpinJackFlash Posted December 6, 2003 Report Posted December 6, 2003 Hey, all you pro wrestlers out there(or at least have trained), how bad do some of the moves hurt, that you take? I have a list, and was just wondering how does it fill when you get hit by this move: Clothesline LegDrop Frog Splash Hip Toss Swantan Bomb
The Kid Posted December 6, 2003 Report Posted December 6, 2003 Depends on who is doing it to you, some guys make the clotheslines wayyy too hard and dont hit low enough. Legdrop is fine as long as it isn't botched. Frog splash does hurt quite a bit, lots of force behind the move. Hip toss, you just roll with it, regular old back bump. Swanton bomb? Giving or recieveing?
Guest JumpinJackFlash Posted December 6, 2003 Report Posted December 6, 2003 Swanton bomb? Giving or recieveing? Uh...how about both? And what about piledrivers and any submissions...like Boston Crabs, Sharpshooters, Ankle Locks
CanadianChick Posted December 6, 2003 Report Posted December 6, 2003 I'm assuming for submissions, the more flexible you are, the less it hurts. For example, it hurts RVD less to take the Walls of Jericho then it does for say, Scott Steiner.
Dace59 Posted December 6, 2003 Report Posted December 6, 2003 It's also a case of how tight they get locked on. You slap someone in a Jujigatame and crank back on it, they'll scream for real. But you could but someone in a Headlock and have they feel nothing at all.
Mystery Eskimo Posted December 6, 2003 Report Posted December 6, 2003 I've put my sister in the Walls and it didn't hurt her at all. ...what? I'm a good brother
King Cucaracha Posted December 6, 2003 Report Posted December 6, 2003 I've put my sister in the Walls and it didn't hurt her at all. ...what? I'm a good brother I frog splashed a friend from a climbing frame during a mock wrestling match many years ago. I think it hurt him, but I'm not exactly a thin guy...so there ya go. Obviously though, if you're trained, they shouldn't hurt that much.
CanadianChick Posted December 6, 2003 Report Posted December 6, 2003 I've put my sister in the Walls and it didn't hurt her at all. ...what? I'm a good brother Actually, when my brothers put me in the Walls, it stretched out my back nicely. Now whenever I have a stiff/sore back, I just ask him slap on the Walls and all is well in the world.
Guest JumpinJackFlash Posted December 6, 2003 Report Posted December 6, 2003 I gave my brother(who is much stronger than me) the ankle lock once. It hurt him a lot. Then I switched it to the Haas of Pain, and he was screaming in pain.
Steviekick Posted December 6, 2003 Report Posted December 6, 2003 My friend put me into the Figure 4 at a party and I reversed it. It only hurt after I reversed it and needed help to get seperated. That and when someone gave me a DDT were the most painful wrasslin' things that ever happened to me.
Guest JumpinJackFlash Posted December 6, 2003 Report Posted December 6, 2003 I got powerbombed on the gym floor one time. I also got pedigreed on the locker room floor. They both hurt.
Corey_Lazarus Posted December 7, 2003 Report Posted December 7, 2003 My friend did a backdrop to me that didn't hurt at all. I landed flat on my back on the ground, too. Decent looking bump (yes, we taped it; it's for a school project). However, he did hit me with a bad belly-to-belly overhead, where he held on WAAAAY too tight for WAAAAY too long, so I had to roll my body sideways just to make sure I didn't land on my head.
deancoles Posted December 7, 2003 Report Posted December 7, 2003 the sharpshooter hurts like fuck if the other person leans back.
Guest Man Of 1,004 Modes Posted December 7, 2003 Report Posted December 7, 2003 I don't really feel any pain unless it's shoot fighting. Didn't hurt when I got dropped on my head on a botch F.U. attempt. Only move I can recall hurting recently is the Crossface, maybe because I abused the arm so much before I was put in it.
CanadianChick Posted December 7, 2003 Report Posted December 7, 2003 the sharpshooter hurts like fuck if the other person leans back. Again, it depends on the flexibility of the reciever of it. It could not hurt someone at all, but it could hurt someone else alot.
Guest The Last Free Voice Posted December 7, 2003 Report Posted December 7, 2003 The only time i've been hurt is on headdrops. And the fact I kicked at the same time and we hit shins, fracturing mine..... d'oh
eiker_ir Posted December 7, 2003 Report Posted December 7, 2003 My friend put me into the Figure 4 at a party and I reversed it. It only hurt after I reversed it and needed help to get seperated. ok, something that has always bugged me, how is the pressure 'reversed' when they roll around on the mat? isn't it the same thing??
Guest Man Of 1,004 Modes Posted December 7, 2003 Report Posted December 7, 2003 I love putting people in Sharpshooters, because I make sure I don't release until I crack their backs or hear some screaming.
Steviekick Posted December 7, 2003 Report Posted December 7, 2003 My friend put me into the Figure 4 at a party and I reversed it. When it gets reversed, the person who applied the Fig 4's knees are on the ground and all the weight is balanced on them.
Guest Markingout Posted December 7, 2003 Report Posted December 7, 2003 "Frog Splash" As long as the guy who is doing it,lands on his knees or you have your hands on your chest it is good
Guest Trivia247 Posted December 7, 2003 Report Posted December 7, 2003 plus its the surface your doing the moves on, your not gonna hurt someone hitting a suplex on a mattress... but it will on a Wrestling mat. since there isn't any patting there. Just canvas. And Submissions probably hurt regardless.. just a manner on how light they put the move on for show.
Guest Breetai Posted December 7, 2003 Report Posted December 7, 2003 As for clotheslines, well, just hope you're not being given one by Stan Hansen.
Guest JumpinJackFlash Posted December 7, 2003 Report Posted December 7, 2003 As for clotheslines, well, just hope you're not being given one by Stan Hansen. Why not Stan Hansen?
CanadianChris Posted December 7, 2003 Report Posted December 7, 2003 I remember in grade school, I lasted in a full nelson for three minutes on a bet.
Dace59 Posted December 7, 2003 Report Posted December 7, 2003 Why not Stan Hansen? Becuase he's half blind so when he Lariats, he just swings the meanest, stiffist lariat and tries to take your head off, hoping he connects with some part of your body.
DangerousDamon Posted December 7, 2003 Report Posted December 7, 2003 It's also a case of how tight they get locked on. You slap someone in a Jujigatame and crank back on it, they'll scream for real. But you could but someone in a Headlock and have they feel nothing at all. Headlocks hurt trust me. A kid had me in a headlock at wrestling practice the other day and took me over with it, dropped me on my head and squeezed like my head was a grape.
razazteca Posted December 7, 2003 Report Posted December 7, 2003 Should of countered with a backdrop.
Dace59 Posted December 7, 2003 Report Posted December 7, 2003 I know Headlocks CAN hurt, but I was saying you could put someone in a Headlock and not hurt them at all with it.
DangerousDamon Posted December 7, 2003 Report Posted December 7, 2003 Should of countered with a backdrop. why waste the energy when i can lean back and throw him using my momentum....
Guest Breetai Posted December 11, 2003 Report Posted December 11, 2003 Why not Stan Hansen? Vader found that out and got his eye popped out of his head for his trouble.
