Kahran Ramsus Posted December 7, 2003 Report Posted December 7, 2003 Austin/Bret from Survivor Series was better than this match.
iliketurtles Posted December 7, 2003 Report Posted December 7, 2003 Austin/Bret from Survivor Series was better than this match. That's what I'm saying...that was the MOTY AND it was arguably the feud of the year (tied with Foley/Taker, at least). This match was good, but there was no point of it to be honest.
Papacita Posted December 7, 2003 Report Posted December 7, 2003 ARGGGH! I started an "ECW" chant right there, and you can barely hear it on camera!
The Czech Republic Posted December 7, 2003 Report Posted December 7, 2003 There's a little Sweet Clip Music
iliketurtles Posted December 7, 2003 Report Posted December 7, 2003 Now that was awesome. Hats off for a great job in recapping a year that not many people talk about anymore. Best Confidential of the year, by far.
MillenniumMan831 Posted December 7, 2003 Report Posted December 7, 2003 Boy, if you didn't know any better, you'd think Mankind won via submission.
Guest Askewniverse Posted December 7, 2003 Report Posted December 7, 2003 Austin/HHH happened because Mero was hurt (I think) and HBK/Mankind had little to no buildup. HHH was Savio Vega's replacement.
El Gigante Posted December 7, 2003 Report Posted December 7, 2003 Great Confidential. One of the best ever.
The Czech Republic Posted December 7, 2003 Report Posted December 7, 2003 And now after that awesome show, next week will feature -An insider look at Garrison Cade's ranch. -Jamie Noble goes to the grocery store. Hilarity ensues. -Six Degrees of Saddam Hussein, featuring Bret Hart. -Ten Questions with Lita. Question 1: What are the pay-per-views in August and November? Hilarity ensues. -Classic match: Matt Morgan requests Kane vs. Albert from Raw 2001. -Christian goes to Australia.
El Gigante Posted December 7, 2003 Report Posted December 7, 2003 The sad thing is that could happen and probably will.
RavishingRickRudo Posted December 7, 2003 Report Posted December 7, 2003 Wow, whatta piece-of-shit. I commend them for doing a retrospective, but... whatta piece-of-shit.

More like: - WWE goes to Fort Hood to support the troops. - FBI discuss the perfect Philly Cheese Steak from Gino's - Sgt. Slaughter time as a feature character on GI Joe - Randy Orton mega push update you're new IC Champ to be - Mark Henry & the Mack play Hearsay - Classic Match: D-Von Dudley request a Smoking Gunns tag title match
EdwardKnoxII Posted December 7, 2003 Report Posted December 7, 2003 - Sgt. Slaughter time as a feature character on GI Joe Hey if they had some behind the scenes stuff and talk with some of the voice actors from that time, talk about the movie, etc I think it would be a good piece.
Guest Ray Posted December 7, 2003 Report Posted December 7, 2003 Fuck WWE for not mentioning Austin/Hart!!! Seriously, the Austin/Hart stuff from late 96 is GOLD.
Silence Posted December 7, 2003 Report Posted December 7, 2003 Fuck WWE for not mentioning Austin/Hart!!! Seriously, the Austin/Hart stuff from late 96 is GOLD. Vince unfortunately still won't let Montreal '97 die.
TheFranchise Posted December 7, 2003 Report Posted December 7, 2003 Fuck WWE for not mentioning Austin/Hart!!! Seriously, the Austin/Hart stuff from late 96 is GOLD. Vince unfortunately still won't let Montreal '97 die. No, it's Canada who haven't got over it, not Vince, Remember(!)
chaosrage Posted December 7, 2003 Report Posted December 7, 2003 Wow, whatta piece-of-shit. I commend them for doing a retrospective, but... whatta piece-of-shit. They must be why everybody hated it.... Oh wait.
chaosrage Posted December 7, 2003 Report Posted December 7, 2003 Fuck WWE for not mentioning Austin/Hart!!! Seriously, the Austin/Hart stuff from late 96 is GOLD. I was waiting for it too. But they'll probably run through it when they do 1997. Maybe they'll even show the wm match.
JustJoe2k5 Posted December 7, 2003 Report Posted December 7, 2003 I wouldn't mind seeing WWE release Year In Review DVDs for each year from '93 to '97. Have a two hour feature on the year, and then have an extra disc with five or six matches of the year.
Guest TheZsaszHorsemen Posted December 7, 2003 Report Posted December 7, 2003 Benoit next week... "You never beat me, Brock. You can't make tap, you never will make me tap. You can gloat and gloat all you want, champ, but you cannot beat me." Okay, that wasn't too great, but I'd love it if he ripped on Brock next week But Brock DID beat him. he never made him tap, but he did beat him. A TKO is a victory.
Guest ligerbomb03 Posted December 7, 2003 Report Posted December 7, 2003 Yes, it certainly is a victory, a tainted victory after the chair shot, but Brock never made Benoit tap out. That's all I was saying
Guest TheZsaszHorsemen Posted December 7, 2003 Report Posted December 7, 2003 Yes, it certainly is a victory, a tainted victory after the chair shot, but Brock never made Benoit tap out. That's all I was saying Yeah, but it's only fair that Brock cheat to win, as it were because Benoit needed instant reply, a match restart, AND the Big Show's help to beat Cena who had Benoit's ass beat not once, but twice. John Cena - The Uncrowned WWE Champion
Guest ligerbomb03 Posted December 7, 2003 Report Posted December 7, 2003 I really don't care much for John Cena actually.
Guest TheZsaszHorsemen Posted December 7, 2003 Report Posted December 7, 2003 I really don't care much for John Cena actually. Eh, but we were speaking in terms of kayfabe. And in kayfabe-land, John Cena had Benoit beat.
CanadianChris Posted December 7, 2003 Report Posted December 7, 2003 Damn, sorry I missed this one. I hope they replay it.

Guest Anglesault Posted December 7, 2003 Report Posted December 7, 2003 Wowed fans with his size, strength, and total disregard for the concept of enunciation. YUH GUBBA DUB, FAWOO! SAH WIH ME, FANS!
