Today is Big Show's two-month anniversary winning

Recommended Posts

I remembered that today has been two months since Big Show has won the US title from Eddie at No Mercy. So I thought we'd talk about all the great matches were he's defended the title.

Let's see there was...uh...uh...hmmm oh that's right he's hasn't defended the bet ONCE since he got it. Guess that makes Eddie's lossing both his belts even more pointless. Geez I guess the WWE doesn't have that 30 day ruling anymore huh?

Hell is Big Show's match against Cena next week even for the title?

does he even carry it around with him anymore??

One day Big Show was VERY hungry and there was no food so he ate the US belt. Sad but, true.

He also went to Raw and ate the IC belt when RVD was champ. When he found out Orton was to win it, he shat it out.

I like how Eddie spent several months building up the belt only to have Big Show completely kill it's credibility.

Yeah no kidding and alot of people thought that Eddie losing the belt was going to lead to better things for Eddie. Like a feud with Brock for the WWE belt. HAHAHAHA

So, that's why it seems like shit whenever Orton comes out. Or is that just him?

The reason Orton was injured was because Big Show ate him, then shat him out. That explains his regression.

On behalf of all of The Smart Marks (yes all of you damnit), I'd like to publicly congrat The Big show on this shimmering achievement in the great industry of Pro. Wrestling. Not just anyone can win a title, not just anyone can hold on to it in this day and age, and not just ANYONE can win it, and then hold on to it for an AMAZING two months. This is truly a great day for The Big Show, and I hope he spends this time reflecting back on the past two months, and how it proves once and for all just how great of a US champion he sincerely is.

Not since the days of Magnum TA and Tully Blanchard has the title meant more than it does now, not since those days has the belt been more prestigious than it is right now.

So congrats Big Show, for you are a worthy champion. May your reign be long and mighty, may you defeat all who stand before you, and may your every title defense truly be victorious.

Thank God my friend, for you are the US Champion of the world.

It's got to the point where I'd rather Cena lost to Show, and they dumped the belt on Shannon Moore. Seriously. The piece of tin is below Cena now. Shannon might actually have a chance of doing something with it.

The writers are the only ones who have a hope of restoring any credit to the belt. The problem is they have no idea what they're doing. If they happen to luck into something where the belt gains some momentum, such as Eddie's start, then they go and fuck it up by slapping it on a useless slug hoping for the heat transfusion.

Good writing can make up for bad workrate. Good workrate will make for good matches, but it can't make up for bad writing. If there's no storyline to garner interest, then it's just another in a long line of good but meaningless matches.

Yeah.........just like RVD and the IC belt. Awwwwwwwww.

The same IC title that Rob has said he doesn't give two shits about?

Forget that Mike! Don't you remember all the classic feuds and matches that RVD had defending the strap before Orton ruined it?

Nope... neither do I.

I didn't mind The Big Show winning the title to be honest.

Its the fact he hasn't defended once since Oct. 19th is what disgusts me.

I will say this for Orton when he won the belt he treated it like a big deal and did the same on RAW with belt. It's nice to have a champ that seems to care about the belt even if it is Orton.

I love how certain posters must go into every thread in this folder just looking for either RVD's name or some way to make a comment bad mouthing him.

The search won't let you do just 3 letters...so these people must actually read every thread and then rub their hands together cackling "I got him this time!"

Yes BPS, we all go hunting for people grossly overrating RVD because it happens oh so seldomly. Come on, RVD did precisely dick for the IC belt just like Show is doing nothing for the US strap. I'm sure both guys will live healthy full lives regardless.

I love mods who engage in asinine conspiracy theories. "ooh, he's dissing RVD. He must be LOOKING for places to insult him! OOOH!"

I find it a hoot.

...Hmm, you seem to be searching out people who "do" this. I wonder why.

Cena is the perfect person for the U.S. Title right now. He's Smackdown's hottest rising star, and when you are a rising star, you grab the gold that's near you first, before you reach the top. It's why I don't support a John Cena world reign within the next 6-8 months. Let him have a 4-5 month reign with the U.S. Title, build a mid-carder who's a bit credible (i.e. Chavo), have him beat Cena for the belt, and then build Cena up to whoever is Champion by that time. But unless Brock keeps the World strap past WM XX, who will be Champ?
