EdwardKnoxII 0 Report post Posted January 2, 2004 News from behind the scenes of RAW... - Shawn Michaels is now being invited to many of the RAW management meetings since his position as a veteran wrestler is respected. - Mick Foley came up with the current "hardcore coward" angle he is involved in with Randy Orton. It is somewhat similar to an angle he did back in ECW where he refused to do hardcore moves because "the fans didn't appreciate it." - Morale was high backstage last night likely due to the fact that everyone just got off a nice holiday break. Guest Man Of 1,004 Modes Report post Posted January 2, 2004 Time to set the Rock on Orton. Have Rock/Orton segments like Rock/Hurricane, but without the comedy. Just have Rock repeatedly call Orton anything to do with sucking and then have Orton beat Rock in a match clean. Lord knows Rock has jobbed to lesser people than him before. No, I don't mean Hurricane either. (That wasn't even clean)

OK Fine, Rock has never jobbed to anyone with no heat like Orton. Maybe Savio Vega back in 1997, but thats it.

Toxxic 0 Report post Posted January 2, 2004 "Hardcore Coward"? You know, I assumed that there was something behind Foley's disappearance (you know, apart from getting him out of the way to bring the drunken, woman-abusing bah gawd Texas goes over all the heels get-him-the-fuck-off-my-tv-again Rattlesnake Austin) rather than he was just scared of Orton. It didn't look like he was scared. It looked to me like he just couldn't be bothered to get in the ring with Orton. Which i can understand.
The Amazing Rando 0 Report post Posted January 2, 2004 Foley is going "Anti-Hardcore" again... you know what... I want Dude Love vs. Randy Orton, DADDIO~!
razazteca 0 Report post Posted January 2, 2004 Mick Foley needs a very special interview with JR. Bring in Tommy Dreamer and Stevie as the guys who try to bring Cactus Jack back. Every time Tommy & Stevie enter the scene they would be remembering the good ol days of Cactus Jack and finish with "He's Hardcore, He's Hardcore". But Foley would be so depressed that he left as fat sloth eating Doritos watching a monitor and refuses to do anything. Then one segment RVD walks by and talks to Foley and gives him his confidence back, out walks Foley from a smokey room as Dude Love.
EdwardKnoxII 0 Report post Posted January 2, 2004 You know I can see Stevie and Dreamer talking to Mick to give him his confidence back but, NOT RVD. I could just see it now. RVD: Dude, I know you've lost your confidence so why don't you take a hit off of this good weed I've scored. DUDE.
Nighthawk 0 Report post Posted January 2, 2004 Weed is good. Weed turns him into the Dude.
EdwardKnoxII 0 Report post Posted January 2, 2004 Well in that case weed's really bad. Mainly cause I really hate Dude Love. He was funny at first but, got old REAL fast.
King Cucaracha 0 Report post Posted January 2, 2004 - Mick Foley came up with the current "hardcore coward" angle he is involved in with Randy Orton. It is somewhat similar to an angle he did back in ECW where he refused to do hardcore moves because "the fans didn't appreciate it." ::Adds Mick to the list of people whose idea failed to get Orton over:: I still fail to see how a "coward" Foley walking away from anyone would put them over. If he were the slightest bit intimidated, or even made out to be intimidated by Orton...fine. But the way it's been played out, Foley didn't walk away from Orton...he would have walked away from anyone. On a side note, most WWE fans don't appreciate hardcore wrestling as highly as ECW fans did. If they go with the same thing he did in ECW, or base it on that, it likely won't work. NoCalMike 0 Report post Posted January 2, 2004 I could see Stevie in the ring now but using Dreamer instead of Raven......I mean afterall they are asking Stevie to grow his hair long again it seems. Stevie: I am here with my main man Tommy, to annouce the return of the Hardcore Legend Mic Foley. Foley does the strut down to the WWE ring.
humongous2002 0 Report post Posted January 2, 2004 Nothing is going to work as long as Orton is associated with it. And by the way weed will give the Dudester all the confidence he needs:OOOOOWWWWW, HAVE MERCY!!!!
2GOLD 0 Report post Posted January 2, 2004 Foley had a better chance of getting Mark Henry over with this.
Guest SP-1 Report post Posted January 2, 2004 Meh. Foley disappears for a while and comes back as Cactus out of nowhere to show Orton the real meaning of hardcore. This isn't that hard to try and save. And yes, I'd rather see an old timer like Mick steal Orton's heat. Because Orton is useless to me in markout factor. A Happy Medium 0 Report post Posted January 2, 2004 I still think of Orton as the male stripper in McMahon's office that one night on Smackdown a couple of years ago. Worthless then, worthless now.
Jobber of the Week 0 Report post Posted January 3, 2004 WHO? Who has the Rock jobbed to clean that had less heat than Orton? Uh.. Does Lesnar's heel run count? If not, uh, Billy Gunn is my best guess.
Lil' Bitch 0 Report post Posted January 3, 2004 I don't recall The Rock ever losing to Billy Gunn unless it was some kind of tag match.
iggymcfly 0 Report post Posted January 3, 2004 Of course the Rock hasn't jobbed clean to someone with less heat than Orton, because he NEVER JOBS CLEAN. Here's a complete list of wrestlers the Rock has jobbed cleanly to in the last four and a half years: Goldberg Brock Lesnar No. There's no more. That's the complete list. Maybe Hurricane if you really want to count it, but other than that, he hasn't lost.
