Tawren 0 Report post Posted January 9, 2004 Best wishes, Rico, I sincerely hope it isn't cancer, and on the off-chance it is, I'm sure you caught it fast enough.
Ced 0 Report post Posted January 9, 2004 I found out I have calcium deposits in my balls after they ultrasounded them after my big twisted testicle debacle a few months ago. For those who aren't aware, my testicle twisted and took an excruciatingly long time to untangle. I had an ultrasound done to make sure the blood was still flowing. Well about a month ago, my doctor sent me this referral to see a urologist for "treatment of multiple stones in the testes" that were discovered at said ultrasound. So a week ago I had them checked and that's when they told me they were calcium deposits. The urologist tells me they can't really do shit about them except evaluate them. Now I have to get ultrasounded again this month and every three months for the next year to make sure nothing is growing. Because of my testicular condition, my chances for testicular cancer have increased. I do intend to father children one day, so believe me when I say I'm taking all the precautionary measures. I feel for you, Rico. Things like this frighten the shit out of us, but we always have to hope for the best.

I remember that and I'm glad that everything worked out well. Since your taking precautionary measures in the children's department, have they "frozen" a sample? I apologize in advance Rico if I wind up derailing this tthread.

A Happy Medium 0 Report post Posted January 9, 2004 Oh man. I hope you're ok Rico. Ced, aren't testicular ultrasounds weird? I had one about six months ago, after experiencing some pain in my left. I was so worried about something cancerous being in there. It turned out I just have an egorged vein. Don't need to turn this topic away from Rico any, but I just found out tonight a friend of mine has SARS. Her best friend may have it as well, a girl that I want to be more than friends with. Don't worry about it Rico, I'm sure it's something minor.

SARS is so fucking treatable its not even funny...only people to die from it are the people that ignore it until the point of no return
Murmuring Beast 0 Report post Posted January 9, 2004 Oh man. I hope you're ok Rico. Ced, aren't testicular ultrasounds weird? I had one about six months ago, after experiencing some pain in my left. I was so worried about something cancerous being in there. It turned out I just have an egorged vein. Yea, kind of weird. I severely twisted one of my balls a couple of years back and I swear to God I was so frightened of the size it was growing to. So I bit the bullet and went to the docs and went under the knife. I wake up and a nurse says that they had to take it out. So I'm down to one. Ah well. I wasn't bothered then (Some 16th Birthday present!!!) and I'm not bothered now and it shouldn't bother anyone. One is still enough and you can get a fake one if you ask nicely.
spiny norman 0 Report post Posted January 9, 2004 Somebody was just telling me that there's a new medical breakthrough where they believe if you inject a melanoma with the cold virus the cold virus will kill it. It will also go around the body and kill any other cancers in there. Mind you, you'll be left with a nasty cold afterwards. So maybe this treatment will turn out to be effective and be available for you Rico should you have cancer and it be malignant and if you have melanoma (but perhaps they will find other ways of getting the cold virus treating cancers). I also heard that they may have found a breakthrough in miscarriage research and it too could be cured within the decade. I think I am now in awe of medical research. Anyone else doesn't miss work to miss the Flu's bitch. if a person from ages like 12-60 get it and they completely ignore it and keep on doing everything they'll die from it most likely. Of course it would take alot to die from it. It basically kills off the elderly much sooner for us
