JasonX Posted January 10, 2004 Report Posted January 10, 2004 OK you are in the WWE marketing department. You have convinced Vince and Linda that their newest CD "WWE Originals" is a piece of shit that should never of been greenlit in the first place. BUT it still has to be released and Vince and Linda's idea to get people who would rightfully avoid the CD like the plague is to include a bonus DVD with THREE matches that would get even the most jaded smark to buy a piece of shit they would never buy or even accept as a gift. What three matches would you chose? My three picks would be three matches that would that would make the bonus DVD serve as a promo DVD for the Ric Flair DVD and the upcoming Mick Foley/Kurt Angle DVD releases as well as being a worthwhile stand-alone DVD by collecting rare stuff that would not be commercially available on DVD in uncut form. First Match would be the first Flair/Steamboat match from the 1989 Superbrawl. This would be a HUGE selling point do to the fact that out of the holy trinity of the Flair/Steamboat matches, it's the only one not commercially available... Second Match would be the uncut, commercial free version of the Kurt Angle/Brock Lesner iron match from Smackdown a couple of month back. Third Match would be the No Way Out '00 match between Mick and HHH which resulted in Mick being permenantly retired. It, like the Flair/Steamboat match, is not commercially available on DVD. What would you guys pick for it?
razazteca Posted January 10, 2004 Report Posted January 10, 2004 I want to see Dunn & Gertwetz along with Simon of American Idol run auditions for this album. Now that would be the perfect reality tv gem that no one can resist.

SuperBrawl didn't start until 91. Chi-Town was commercially released, I have it.
RavishingRickRudo Posted January 10, 2004 Report Posted January 10, 2004 How about "McMahons going Broadway" where Steph, Shane, Vince and Linda all sing showtunes?
Styles Posted January 10, 2004 Report Posted January 10, 2004 How about "McMahons going Broadway" where Steph, Shane, Vince and Linda all sing showtunes? STANNNNNDDDD BACK!
RavishingRickRudo Posted January 10, 2004 Report Posted January 10, 2004 Can't you just picture Linda in a sort of burlesque-house entertainer with long black stockings, a corset, and a feathered headset? Stephanie as the country bumpkin looking to make a name for herself in the big city? Pig tails and overalls.. or perhaps a flowery sundress? Vince as the evil stageshow owner. He can have a black mustache and top hat with a cape and walking stick and hire the country bumpkin as his personal assitant who he makes do degrading chores. Shane as the star of the show who wants to rebel against the owner, but must earn enough money to free his mother, Linda, so he stays and keeps on working and who also, in the end, turns out to be stageshow owners son. Then there's HHH, the husking Janitor who lurks in the shadows and ends up saving the country bumpkin from the tight grasp of the evil stageshow owner. Featured Songs: "This is my show" - Vince McMahon "I wanna be a star" - Stephanie "Sexual Healing" - Linda "Name in Lights (at what cost?)" - Shane "It will all soon be mine" - HHH

SamoaRowe Posted January 10, 2004 Report Posted January 10, 2004 Essa Rios vs Jerry Lynn from Jakked. Dean Malenko vs Scotty 2 Hotty from Backlash 2000. Shane McMahon vs Test from Summerslam 99. Yes, I'm serious.
Guest Ray Posted January 10, 2004 Report Posted January 10, 2004 Kurt Angle/Brock Lesner iron match A well known Smackdown match from four months ago is "UBER-RARE" ???
TheFranchise Posted January 10, 2004 Report Posted January 10, 2004 Kurt Angle/Brock Lesner iron match A well known Smackdown match from four months ago is "UBER-RARE" ??? Yes, i blocked it from my mind, so i don't know about it.
MarvinisaLunatic Posted January 10, 2004 Report Posted January 10, 2004 Well, the real thing does come with a DVD, but of course its "Behind the Scenes with Stone Cold" for 30 minutes, 20 of which will probably be aired on Confidential tonight. And they aren't going to stick matches on a throwaway DVD when they can stick em on someones "Best of" compilation and sell it.
Tawren Posted January 10, 2004 Report Posted January 10, 2004 Kurt Angle/Brock Lesner iron match A well known Smackdown match from four months ago is "UBER-RARE" ??? Uncut satellite version is. Only way I would buy this is if they included the FULL satellite version of Starcade 1985...oh yeah, baby.
Lil' Bitch Posted January 10, 2004 Report Posted January 10, 2004 Dean Malenko vs Scotty 2 Hotty from Backlash 2000. Its okay. I liked that match too.
buffybeast Posted January 10, 2004 Report Posted January 10, 2004 Who came up with the idea to do this project to begin with? You mean to tell me that just because Rikishi is a WWE superstar he can sing smooth R&B too? Every song I've heard sounds like shit, with the exception being "Basic Thuganomics".
Detective Comics Posted January 11, 2004 Report Posted January 11, 2004 Dean Malenko vs Scotty 2 Hotty from Backlash 2000. Its okay. I liked that match too. WHAT A GREAT FUCKING MATCH! That was the one wit the top-rope DDT finish, right?

thuganomics Posted January 11, 2004 Report Posted January 11, 2004 Can I just make the point that we missed maybe a minute of the Angle/Lesnar iron man match. Y'see, Smackdown is recording on Tuesday, and they just edit the commercials in. The stuff they show "during the break" is the stuff that they cut out to make it seem like it was live. That's why the iron man match started on smackdown at a quarter til the hour, but finished at the very end of the second hour.
Guest Coffey Posted January 11, 2004 Report Posted January 11, 2004 Idea to salvage the piece of shit "WWE Originals" Pull it from shelves?
MarvinisaLunatic Posted January 11, 2004 Report Posted January 11, 2004 Idea to salvage the piece of shit "WWE Originals" Pull it from shelves? They'll probably end up either giving them away at house shows or bundling them in with the next book that gets written.
Guest BobBacklundRules Posted January 12, 2004 Report Posted January 12, 2004 The Originals CD DOES include a DVD. Anyone know what's on it?
Lil' Bitch Posted January 12, 2004 Report Posted January 12, 2004 The first limited-edition release of the CD will also include a 30 minute bonus DVD with behind-the-scenes footage from the WWE Superstar recording sessions!! Credit: WWE Shopzone
JustJoe2k5 Posted January 12, 2004 Report Posted January 12, 2004 Will the DVD include footage of the three people who sang for Milli Vanilli also singing on this CD, or does McMahon want to hold off until they get a Grammy?
Si82 Posted January 13, 2004 Report Posted January 13, 2004 The Originals CD DOES include a DVD. Anyone know what's on it? It's basically a behind-the-scenes feature hosted by Coach which has interviews with some of the wrestlers who sing on the CD intercut with clips of them actually singing the tracks.
