Tawren Posted January 12, 2004 Report Posted January 12, 2004 Raven. I really think they missed the boat on him. It'd be anti-climactic to put him at the top now. My money is on Jarrett.
The Ghost of bps21 Posted January 12, 2004 Report Posted January 12, 2004 I could see Sabin getting worked up into the main event scene (ala AJ Styles) by the end of the year. But if we're just going with who's going to be the star...then my pick is AJ Styles...he's been the star since TNA started...and can't imagine him falling off this year.
Placebo Effect Posted January 12, 2004 Report Posted January 12, 2004 Raven. My money is on Jarrett. Hah. I'd really like Sonny Siaki to get a push. Unfortunately, I doubt it's going to happen. Usually I'd say Christopher Daniels, but it's going to take some great singles matches to make that happen. They threw him out there with Jarrett for a couple weeks with the ridiculous followers, and since that bombed since they didn't put time into it, they quickly threw him back in the X-Division. I can see Kid Kash, Low-Ki (if he can commit himself to 45 weeks a year or so), and Sabin making it. CM Punk has a chance, as does both Swinger and Diamond when they break up if they can put together some decent matches.
Styles Posted January 12, 2004 Report Posted January 12, 2004 bps, as a diehard Orioles fan, I request that you remove that sickening photo from your sig, as the mere sight of it produces colvusions and vomitting, thanks in advance! As for who TNA's breakout star will be? I'll say Sabin and Daniels marticulate into the main event scene...
Guest Dynamite Kido Posted January 12, 2004 Report Posted January 12, 2004 There are plenty of possibilities like: Sabin Daniels Abyss
Guest netslob Posted January 12, 2004 Report Posted January 12, 2004 Michael Shane, whether we like it or not. ditto Jarrett
Guest Coffey Posted January 12, 2004 Report Posted January 12, 2004 You know, I forgot about both Abyss & Sonny Siaki. I can see both men as big time players in NWA:TNA. I don't think NWA:TNA missed the boat on Raven completely. Admittedly, had Raven beaten Jarrett for the title the first time, it would've been better, but I understand the circumstances surrounding the situation. If Raven wins the title now, it would still mean a lot. Especially if it could help bring some more people up with his win. Like CM Punk for a feud over the title. Actually, the title would play second fiddle to the hatred, but those usually turn out to be the best feuds.
Guest Boomer Sprinklespax Posted January 12, 2004 Report Posted January 12, 2004 I bet Abyss gets a World Title reign by the end of '04.
Guest bort Posted January 13, 2004 Report Posted January 13, 2004 October 2004, NWA-TNA ceases to exist. I dont think they can keep moving in the same direction as they are now and still be alive, it isnt free TV the show has to be good
Slingshot Suplex Posted January 14, 2004 Report Posted January 14, 2004 Delirious and Matt Sydal out of GCW Well,I hope anyway.
Guest Dynamite Kido Posted January 14, 2004 Report Posted January 14, 2004 I forgot to add this name: Dave O'Neill, Wrestler
Guest Dave O'Neill, Journalist Posted January 14, 2004 Report Posted January 14, 2004 You better believe it bad boy. Actually, I pushed myself to the moon in EWR Dave O'Neill Submission Finisher : STD Top Rope Impact Finisher : The Nine Inch Nail Elbow drop. ----------------------- And for the record, I havent said anything negative about TNA in AT LEAST six weeks. These days, my bile is directed towards that piece of shit Teddy Anus
Jingus Posted January 14, 2004 Report Posted January 14, 2004 You know the weirdest thing about Abyss? Back when he was plain ol' Prince Justice, he was actually really good on the mic, delivered fine promos. He had a bit of a Sid-ish tendency to alternate screaming and then whispering, but overall produced strong stuff. Weird that they've given him Kane's old mute gimmick.

Guest Dave O'Neill, Journalist Posted January 14, 2004 Report Posted January 14, 2004 Hey, what can I say - new year, new me.
Guest Dynamite Kido Posted January 14, 2004 Report Posted January 14, 2004 ~OMG your The New Me!!!!!!! BAN HIM!!!!!!!!! kidding.
Guest Dids Posted January 14, 2004 Report Posted January 14, 2004 Spanky? That's my vote now. Sign him and push him to the fucking moon.
thuganomics Posted January 15, 2004 Report Posted January 15, 2004 Spanky could be huge for TNA, but my guess is going to Sabin or Shane. TNA seems to really like both, and I'm guessing Sabin's win was just to move Shane out of the X-Division.
