kkktookmybabyaway 0 Report post Posted January 12, 2004 Poo-Face telling Howie how to deal with race relations. Howie pouting and refusing to ask another opponent a question because he wasn't allowed to ask his question to an audience member. Dennis Kucinich and Carol Moseley Braun talking to each other about policy -- more people attended that debate than will probably vote for both of them combined. And this all occurred in the 10-15 minutes I bothered to watch. Have all these debates been this funny?...
Guest Astro Report post Posted January 12, 2004 I heard Dean had to admit he never had a black or latino in his cabinet during his 12 year run in congress (senate...whatever)
bobobrazil1984 0 Report post Posted January 12, 2004 That was so ridiculous that even ANN FRIKKEN COULTER (author of the upcoming book, "Liberals killed Jesus and the Dinosaurs") sided with Dean on that one (during the Drudge radio show). Vermont has 1 to 2 percent african american population. To attack someone from that state for not having a black person in their cabinet is just stupid. What was he supposed to do, go hunt down the 11 black people in the ENTIRE STATE!? People are getting desperate.

Jobber of the Week 0 Report post Posted January 12, 2004 I liked it when Carol-Mosley Braun took the wind out of Sharpton's sails for attacking him for attacking people on race. That probably got her some people from Sharpton's side, so expect to see the numbers move by a whole half-point.
Guest Cerebus Report post Posted January 12, 2004 What surprised me wasn't that he couldn't recruit any blacks from lily-white Vermont, but that he couldn't recuit any in major posts for his NATIONAL campaign so far.

NoCalMike 0 Report post Posted January 13, 2004 Who cares about the primary debates really though? No one will remember what was said in 6 months. Plus just like clockwork, as soon as the winner is declared everyone on the stage will back that person, so all this, "LOL DM Primaries 2004, He made a funny" stuff can go ahead and cease now. Hers is a combo of her father's first and mother's middle names, but she just goes by Genee for short. Hate to allow logic to apply to a Dem, though.
godthedog 0 Report post Posted January 13, 2004 how did kerry do? i only got to see a speech of his that afternoon and didn't catch the actual debate, & i was actually pretty impressed.
kkktookmybabyaway 0 Report post Posted January 13, 2004 Don't know because every other word out of him mouth was bleeped. (Seriously though, was he even there? I was doing some odds 'n ends and had the debate on as background noise and didn't hear the word "Vietnam," so I'm not sure if he bothered to show up...) Lando Griffin 0 Report post Posted January 13, 2004 It would be nice if Sharpton, Braun, Kucinich and Lieberman would just drop out now to make it easier. Was that Kucinich who was saying that a zero unemployment economy is possible? What a retard. He basically said that if you can't find a job, he'll create a government job for you. I'm glad nobody takes him seriously.

2GOLD 0 Report post Posted January 13, 2004 After watching that debate last night, I suddenly have the urge not to vote. It seems my choices will be either mentally unstable or moron. What the hell happened to McCain? I know he's a republican but he was about the only candiate in the last two elections I wanted to vote for and didn't get to. Is he still around or did he retire? And did John Edwards hold his own debate in the basement of his house with stuffed animals or did they allow him to show up cause I might have missed him the few times I changed the channel. I still love that "I'll complete destroy them now but if they get the nod, I'll support them" mindset. It's extremely funny saying "I think your a racist dog, but if you beat me I'll call you a nice man just because your a democrat/republican"

I know the press loved the guy --- but jeez, he gave them free booze and access. His policies are non-existant --- or in the case of campaign finance reform, horribly unconstitutional. -=Mike

Guest Choken One Report post Posted January 15, 2004 At this point, America is like the WWE…It’s going down the tubes…There’s no stopping it…now we can either get entertained (McCain or Sharpton) i.e Benoit/Angle marathon matches or get Dean or Bush i.e Orton and HHH. Guest MikeSC Report post Posted January 16, 2004 Interesting how Big Media loved McCain -- the same McCain that spearheaded Campaign Finance Reform... Tucker Carlson goes into that --- in some depth --- in his book. Basically, McCain had a constantly open bar and gave tons of access and THAT is why the reporters loved him. Heck, according to him, McCain loved the IDEA of campaign-finance reform --- but didn't care much about the details. He also has a hilariously mean (but true) story about Jesse Jackson. A must-read. -=Mike

Tucker Carlson goes into that --- in some depth --- in his book. Tucker Carlson.........I can't even begin to describe my hatred for that guy. Simply, he's Hannity with worse debating skills and zero charisma. I play Dungeons and Dragons with guys that could rip him in half like a phone book. He's an embarassment to the Right side of the aisle. But I'm sure that's the way CNN wants it. Edited January 17, 2004 by Olympic Slam
kkktookmybabyaway 0 Report post Posted January 17, 2004 Zoinks -- I don't have THAT much hatred for Tucker. I really have no opinion of him. Give me Novak any day -- he's a bitter old man and funny as hell at times. I remember one time he and Begala was having an argument on universal health care, or something of that nature, and Novak said something to the extent of "who cares about losers that don't want to go out and work." The entire audience got quiet, Begala's jaw dropped and I was laughing so hard I shed a tear...
