In the latest indication President Bush is having problems with his conservative core political constituency, Michael Savage, one of talk radio's biggest stars, tonight called for the impeachment of President Bush over his plans to legalize millions of illegal aliens.

"This is the worst betrayal of our country in my lifetime," said Savage, whose program is heard on more than 350 stations with an audience reaching some 6 million. His book, "The Savage Nation," last year was No. 1 on the New York Times best-seller's list for five weeks. His follow-up, "The Enemy Within," out just one week, is already No. 8 on the list. Both were published by WND Books.

Tonight Savage called Bush a liberal and described him as part of the "enemy within" that is destroying the nation.

Savage created the phrase "compassionate conservative" in 1994, a term picked up by Bush during his presidential campaign – a campaign supported by Savage.

"This is much more serious than dropping your pants for an intern," said Savage. "This is a policy that represents a danger to national security."

It appears this is a battle between the insane wing of the GOP and the rest of the GOP. Savage is absolutely fucked up if he's pushing for impeachment for this. Although, as a Democrat, I don't mind if the Republicans split a bit. Hehehehe.. All part of the plan. :D

*evil laugh*

anyways, Savage is living in Candyland if he thinks this will work

Yawn, Savage caused a stink a year or so ago over talk about giving illegals amnesty.

He’s ripped Republicans plenty of times in the past – Bush and McCain are two that come to mind right away. He’s also voiced support of the Teamsters and lashed out against NAFTA before.

(And if you think impeaching Bush for this is messed up, you should hear what he says about the Clintons...)

Nooo, Michael Savage is loudly discrediting my side of this debate!

Now I know how it feels to be a Republican! :(

Don't worry. One day, Michael Moore will support something that I agree with and you can use that against me :D.

That stupid Commie-Nazi and his crazy shennanigans...

He's only causing this stink to increase his book sales, so basically he's willing to fuck over his own political party to put extra money in his pocket.

Although, if one of the Democrats do win the election (increasingly unlikely) he'll have 4-to-8 years of bitching about that to help him write and sell more books. Maybe it's not such a bad plan after all.

This is why I love Savage, because he sticks to ideas and principles and not retarded party politics *coughHannitycough*. Savage is dead right if you compare Bush to Clinton. Bush giving legal status to illegal, foreign invaders does a lot more harm to the country than Clinton screwing around in Oval Office.

Open borders are a greater threat than open flies.

Too bad his ideas and principles kind of send us back to where we were a few decades ago.

Whatever the hell that means.

"This is the worst betrayal of our country in my lifetime," said Savage,

Really. Robert Hanssen, Aldritch Ames, any other government or military employee who sold our secrets to the Russians and god knows who else - that's not as bad as giving work permits to landscapers?

You know, I'm not exactly a major supporter of the Republican party, but I'm voting Bush in this election, simply because the same regime needs to be in office until the national security problems blow over. It will just overcomplicate the issue to change administrations in the middle of something so important.

You don't have to go far on the guy's Homestead web site to see that he specializes in dividing our country. His latest title includes "the liberal assault on our schools, faith, and military" which is almost (but, honestly, not quite) as bad as Hannity's title, which says calls liberals evil and puts them in the same breath as terrorists. I'm not beyond some partisan mudslinging myself, but come on.

On his front page he places the Bible with the Constitution in importance to our country's history and culture.

He discredits people who are against Affirmative Action for legitimate, honest reasons with his rambling about how white straight christian males are some sort of despised society in America, when every average American deals with dozens, hundreds of these people a day.

Also, while I'm against giving privelages to illegal aliens, I know that, realistically, we can't deport them all.

Let's look at the page now for the Savage Nation book. Here's the opener:

Do you want to know about the subversive forces corrupting our country? This is the Savage truth.

"The alQaida network is not America's most dangerous enemy," Michael Savage contends. "To fight only the alQaida enemy is to miss the terrorist network operating within our own borders. Who are these traitors? Every rotten, radical left-winger in this country, that's who."

Okay, so somehow, these people are more dangerous than Osama bin-Laden? What? There's a lot of liberals in this country I don't agree with. You have to work pretty hard to get me to defend some of the political activists in Berkley, for example. But if you want to tell me they're performing cirmes greater than killing 3,000 people? Anyone who lost a family member or loved one in 9/11 would want to string this guy up by his balls for this comment, and he's only just begun.

From a NewsMax interview linked on his site:

NEWSMAX: What are the three most important points of your book?

SAVAGE: That liberalism is a mental disorder that has undermined our families, our society and our national security.

 Oh-kay. I mean, maybe it's just me, but it sounds like he's not really all that interested in hearing both sides of the story. Which isn't saying he's never had a good point, but any good points he has is buried when he says something like this.

If I give a clear and concise arguement on something and then say you have a mental disorder for having your political viewpoint, that discredits my entire arguement from an impartial stance. Savage destroys his own points on subjects such as immigration, welfare, and medicating children by name-calling and telling reasonable people that they're part of the problem because they aren't just like him.

SAVAGE: Yes, but let me tell you the whole word, the concept of “diversity” was pushed forward by the radical gay movement, who camouflaged themselves under the guise or radical and ethnic diversity, in order to push the homosexual agenda. Diversity was originated by the radical gay movement to in order to stealth fully insert themselves as a minority group.

Ah, okay, so the Jesse Jacksons, Al Sharptons, and other similar self-proclaimed "black leaders" are not responsible for this mess, it's the gay people who just wanted to be left alone. The ones who don't have these crazy personalities.

Just a few years ago, some blacks were offended by gays comparing themselves to the civil rights movement. You don’t see that any more. Suddenly, they’re all brothers.

Again, it doesn't help that self-serving idiots like Jesse are carrying the torch to line their own pockets. Gay people don't have a Jesse or Al.

NEWSMAX: You say “America’s borders are overflowing with the flotsam and jetsam of humanity.” How would you limit immigration?

SAVAGE: By putting troops on the U.S. borders.

Bill O'Reilly believes this, too, and Tom Clancy completely wiped his ass for it. Soldiers are not trained to be policemen. They are trained to shoot people, and only to shoot people. We saw in post-war Iraq how unsuccessful the troops were to keep people from looting and robbing until an actual police force was established.

I'm sure there's much more to pick apart than that, but the page of his links is filled with stuff I'm not too well-versed in to dissect (religion), or is just filler such as Savage making complaints that the third season of the Sopranos wasn't as good as the first two. The point is well made that this guy is not exactly the best poltiical or moral compass, and that he actually removes credibility from logical arguement with his insane tripe.

And now, I must get up from the computer and return to my life. In the real world, where I'd have to find really hard to find someone who's a bigger threat than Al-Qaeda, and where approximately half of the country in fact does not have a mental disease.

Let's also not forget Weiner was a draft-dodging hippie. Not to mention writing New Age "herbal" books. I sometimes question whether the guy believes in the crap he spews. He could just be using the image to make money.

On the way to class this evening(where I am sitting awaiting a test right now) I listened to Savage's radio show. He was actually talking about something I agree a lot with and that is the media monopoly out there. He was talking about how five supercorporations basically own ever facet of media whether it be, record companies, tv stations, movie studios etc........I won't start a great debate about it here cause it would be off topic, but I am just showing that I can agree with a nutcase like Savage sometimes.

Don't you see what this means? The liberals have got Bush! They've warped his simple and fragile mind! And they're trying to get Rush too: http://forums.thesmartmarks.com/index.php?...ST&f=18&t=48325

Michael Savage has got to save the Republican Party before they all become commie foreigner lover pill popper hippies!

Oddly enough, Weiner IS a hippie (or at least a former one).
