Use Your Illusion 0 Report post Posted January 15, 2004 LOW:SHOWDOWN! Very, very decent addition if you ask me, I've always been a big DDP fan and it is good to see he is recieving the legend treatment here. The game is looking more and more appealing the more the news comes in, I sincerely hope it rises well and above the two previous attempts and finally becomes a contender to Smackdown!. dubq 0 Report post Posted January 15, 2004 DDP is hardly a legend. But granted, Acclaim's definition of Legend is pretty loose.

UYI Since the new Smackdown, for all its ambitious ideas, fell on its face in regards to gameplay, I'm hoping so too. Still, it would kill me to give Acclaim money for anything. DDP is hardly a legend. But granted, Acclaim's definition of Legend is pretty loose. What about Yukes!/THQ's? HILLBILLY JIM!!??
Lightning Flik 0 Report post Posted January 15, 2004 Hm... Just curious but looking at screen shots, I saw Scott Steiner on there as well (in the screen shots). I haven't played LOW in a long time, so just curious, but how the hell did LOW get Steiner on there?
Golgo 13 0 Report post Posted January 15, 2004 Steiner signed a licensing contract with them before ever signing with WWE.
Lightning Flik 0 Report post Posted January 15, 2004 Steiner signed a licensing contract with them before ever signing with WWE. Thank you for telling me that, cause I didn't know.

I just didn't mention them, y'know, since we're talking about an Acclaim game here.....

Guest FrigidSoul Report post Posted January 15, 2004 If you play as Jake Roberts you should have a side quest of trying to find cocaine 15min before your PPV match.

Sonic Reducer 0 Report post Posted January 15, 2004 Cool. I like the fact that they're using his old trunks, and not the jeans.
Slickster 0 Report post Posted January 15, 2004 I love how all the arenas are genericized WWE PPV arenas (WMX7, WMX)
Guest Coffey Report post Posted January 15, 2004 This game looks HORRIBLE. Just like the two previous Legends of Wrestling titles, this game won't even be worth a rent. Bad control, bad graphics, bad sound and bad single player.
tommytomlin 0 Report post Posted January 16, 2004 I think it looks awesome. The first LOW was crap, but I enjoyed the second. This one seems to have simplified the controls, according to Gamespot anyway, and the graphics are less cartoony but still over-the-top, which is a nice change. Plus it has the WARRIOR! MarvinisaLunatic 0 Report post Posted January 16, 2004 I'm not sure if this is the official cover but it does look pretty cool. Why don't they just call it Hogan vs the World?
Guest Salacious Crumb Report post Posted January 16, 2004 I though I saw a cover that had Savage and Warrior facing off.
Use Your Illusion 0 Report post Posted January 16, 2004 Judging from the cover, looks like Stinger and Macho Man are upcoming additions as well, which is good to see. I, too, fail to see the point of paying Kevin Kelly to write bullshit every couple of months about wrestlers we already know all about. UYI
dubq 0 Report post Posted January 16, 2004 The second game was pretty cool, though the storylines could've used some tweaking before they released it. Also, glad they re-did the controls. Hopefully it's got a bit more flow to it now. I'll rent this... but will only own it if it's given as a gift. ;p
C Dubya 04 0 Report post Posted January 16, 2004 So, do the wrestlers in this series have they're Eighties movesets? If so, wouldn't you only need one button? Also, is that Rick Martel in some of the screen shot?
dubq 0 Report post Posted January 16, 2004 Rick Martel has been in the last two games, I believe, so it probably is him.
LaParkaYourCar 0 Report post Posted January 16, 2004 The pics on the Ultimate Warrior's little page make it look like he's dancing. Quite funny. http://www.legendsshowdown.com/spotlight/w...rior/index.html And where's Dusty Rhodes' splotch?? They replaced it with a scar. Did anyone notice that in one of Dusty's screen shots Road Warrior Hawk is listed as Martel???

Thanks. The more I look at it the more it looks like he's frolicking through a field of flowers or something. Maybe it's the goofy smile? Ewww...is he trying to grab Dusty's sack while sucking on his teet?? What kind of game is this???
