I know I've told this story before, since this thread crops up every month or two, it seems. Anyway, in high school, a few of us were trying to decide who was the most cynical among us. Someone said they'd taken a doctorate course in cynicism, so I countered with, "Motherfucker, I TAUGHT that course!" Thus, I was dubbed "Dr. Tom," and I decided to use the moniker when I first got into the internet and BBs years ago. The reason I spell it "DrTom" is out of habit: a lot of older BB systems didn't allow spaces or special characters.

I signed up for The Realm back in 96(I think) and needed a cool sounding name. I couldn't think of one, so I just mashed the buttons randomly until a good gibberish name came up. And so, Fazzle was born.

 

 

I think I have a rival now for "coolest last name."

Mine is simple ... Northern Lights 5 hybred with Skunk 1 = a very good, quickly growing strain of weed. Normally called 51.

 

I've used t for years and years now, and debated changing it to just the Northern Lights before the name change hiatus went into effect. But old habits die hard, and thus I'll remain nl5xsk1.
