It's the show where Shawn Michaels returns to book a bunch of shit, and one match is Cactus Jack (for one night only) versus Mideon and Viscera in a hardcore match. Mick takes a SICK chairshot to the head from Mideon in this match, which got me thinking. Didn't he say in his book that he promised his wife he wouldn't do any of those after the 99 Rumble match with the Rock? Weird he'd do one in a match that was so unimportant. Just wondering. Later.

He talked about this in his second book. Tennis star Monica Seles was in the crowd, he wanted to impress her, so he got hit with a chair head-on in front of her. Sad thing was, she had already left, so it was all for naught.

Guest ToddRoyal Posted January 19, 2004 Report Posted January 19, 2004 There have been some bad chair shots, and Raven-Dreamer ranks up there, but nothing compares to Rumble 99, when it reaches the 9th, 10th, 11th, unprotected shot. It's pretty sick and hard to watch, even having seen it so many times.

There was a spot in the match where Gertner was supposed to take a fireball to the face. Gertner pussied out and the move looked like shit. Balls went to the corner and picked up his trademark chair. He then proceeded to hit Joel Gertner as hard as he possibly could directly in the face, actually silencing the crowd. It was a different sound then usual, even the crowd was stunned. Later Balls said that is the hardest he ever hit anyone with a chair, he said he is surprised Gertner survived it.

Cause the dent in that chair was unreal.

The "chairshot heard round the world" is near the top, but the top is one of any number of chairshots to Masato Tanaka by Mike Awesome. Pick any of their ECW matches. Each one has a SICK chairshot that would kill any mortal man. Masato = Deity.
