I heard rumours that they were gonna get another of the Pop Idol judges, but if they don't I hope they get Zak Werner (who was the only one who had the nerve to tell Kelly Clarkson that maybe she could use some more work) from Canadian/World Idol. I wouldn't count on it. Supposedly Zack & Simon came to blows on World Idol. They pretty much did - verbally, at least. That's what I want to see - more debating, less Paula saccharine... Pen Salesman Rose Bowl Guy Dean Martin The Girl with Pink Hair(i like celine and that was amazing) Clay II and that girl that was in the very first girl trio that went on. The really hot one that stood in the middle and had the high heels on....oh yeah she was good looking, and could sing. Watch the winner be someone we haven't even seen audition really. And it seems that the cut people took it rather well - or at least didn't have a temper tantrum when they left. She got kicked out because of some sort of porn she did; Simon signed her to his label anyways. I don't recall ever thinking Clarkson would win, but I didn't watch a lot of AI 1. Her personality was just borderline annoying at points, like when the groups were divided up by guys/girls, and they were all singing together? She wasn't even singing, she was more interested in dancing for the camera. She wasn't serious about the competition AT ALL. This time edited alot of material where you couldn't get see everyone perform like the last 2 idols. I seriously "forgot" about the rest after her performance and when I was reminded during the recap, I was like "they weren't as good as I remembered them..." Katie had presence, and her song ("Crash Bam Alakazam" or whatever) was different and helped showcase her personality. As a fan of Walkin in Memphis, that dude just butchered it. Actually, they butchered a lot of songs tonight, but he was zooming through it for whatever reason. Plus I think she's Final 4 bound, unlike Julia who couldn't cut it in front of an audience. And here's another difference right there - these "qualifiers" are in front of an audience, so it gives people more of a chance to see how they might fare in the Top 12. NYU 0 Report post Posted February 12, 2004 Well, the two people that advanced deserved to advance, so no problem there. But I can't be the only one to think Fantasia was good.....but not THAT good. Yeah, she was the best one of the group, but she hardly did anything to blow me away like she did with the judges. I just found it to be.....above-average. Wasn't much more than that. And I certainly can't see her winning the competition. To me, she just wasn't good enough. Personally, I haven't found anyone that has REALLY impressed me. I started watching American Idol 1 in the middle of the season and I knew Kelly was the best one. From the initial auditions of American Idol 2, I knew Ruben would go far, and I told everyone that watched it that he would be the one to win. This Idol so far - I just haven't found anyone I could solidly pick, or even get behind and root for. Hopefully, this will change in the next couple of weeks.
