Kahran Ramsus 0 Report post Posted January 20, 2004 I will. The Royal Rumble is the only PPV that I will order religiously, just because the Royal Rumble Match itself is the most exciting match of the year. Until they start tinkering with the match itself, I will continue to order it. The rest of the card has no impact whatsoever. I don't care whether I get Benoit/Angle or Steiner/HHH. I order it solely for the one match.
The Ghost of bps21 0 Report post Posted January 20, 2004 I'm odering because I'm a lifelong Hardcore Bob Thruman Sparky Plugg Holly fan who wants to see him get revenge on Brock and take his title. Yep...there's something you'll never hear anyone say.
DrVenkman PhD 0 Report post Posted January 20, 2004 I'd love to order the show and split the costs with a friend, but PPV without digital cable has been unavailable here for about 4 years now. So, as usual, we'll be going out to a bar that shows it and hope it's not one of the 36 WWE sued. There is never a month I don't go, the exception being Unforgiven, where I was scheduled to work that night and really had no interest in working out a shift change. The same scenario happened for Series, Armageddon, and the Rumble. I took care of the Series date right away, I was not sure it was worth the trouble for Armageddon until they announced Hurricane would be on the card, and I'm really looking forward to the Rumble. As much as everyone is shitting on Holly/Lesnar (with good cause), it should still be a decent-good match, I have high hopes for HBK/HHH, I ALWAYS love the Rumble, Mysterio might finally win a match on PPV, and Guerrero vs Guerrero should be good. A PPV is good when your worst match has Ric Flair in it.
Jack_Bauer 0 Report post Posted January 20, 2004 I'm ordering the show because it looks REALLY good, and it will be worth the money.
DMann2003 0 Report post Posted January 20, 2004 I'mn ordering, the last 2 Rumble's I've ordered and they've been quite good. I love the Rumble match itself and Michaels/HHH, Mysterio/Noble and Eddy/Chavo should be decent-good. I'm not bugged by Lesnar/Holly, so the card looks pretty good to me. Tawren 0 Report post Posted January 20, 2004 I'll be going to a friends house (he gets every PPV free, illegal satellite w00t!).
cbacon 0 Report post Posted January 20, 2004 Some friends and I are chipping in to buy the show so it should only cost around $5 each. I normally wouldn't order, but i love the Rumble match itself. And the incentive of seeing Benoit winning the match to close the show would make it well worth it. The Title matches looked too predictable at first, but now that theres rumour of HBK/Benoit at WMXX, the Last Man Standing Match is more intruiging. Brock/Holly should be kept short and hopefully results in a pseduo squash as Brock rolls into WM. Eddie/Chavo and Mysterio/Noble should be good, but given the number of matches on the card, i have a feeling the CW title match will be moved to Heat AGAIN. Guest Metallica Report post Posted January 20, 2004 I'll be going half with a mate. I'll be ordering it for HBK V HHH mainly, should be a classic match. Eddie V Chavo will be good and the Rumble match itself should be very good. Hopfully Benoit wins.

SamoaRowe 0 Report post Posted January 21, 2004 Not even my mark friends want Goldberg to win. Oh, and it's official: I'm ordering the PPV for sure now That, and I feel a slight bit of guilt for having seen the free webcasts of Unforgiven and Armageddon. Lil' Bitch 0 Report post Posted January 21, 2004 To quote Aero: I'll be cheering for Benoit, personally. Oh yeah and I forgot about that Mysterio might finally win a match on PPV Thanks, DrVenkman. I feel a slight bit of guilt for having seen the free webcasts of Unforgiven and Armageddon. Don't be. I wouldn't have paid to order it live since they weren't good overall. Hehe, the reason why I feel only "slightly" guilty is because Unforgiven was complete shit and because Armageddon would have insulted my wallet despite being relatively decent. cawthon777 0 Report post Posted January 21, 2004 I'm ordering it. I've always been a mark for the Rumble and this one has a special significance since I'm attending WrestleMania for the first time in March. I want to see Benoit dominate the entire WWE roster. I'm very much straight but that alone, after so many years of anticipation, might just give me a hard on. As far as the Rumble match, the finish occured to me just last night while watching Raw. As we all know, the #30 participant is notorious for his lackluster performance. Goldberg will be no exception, though he will come close to winning it all. Brock, after demolishing Holly earlier in the bout, sees that Benoit is on the verge of winning the Rumble and earning a rematch with him at Mania. Lesnar comes ringside and inadvertantly causes Goldberg's elimination, winning Benoit the match. Thus we get Brock vs. Goldberg at Mania with Benoit earning his title shot. Some may argue that it would be a tainted win and wouldn't mean as much. I would say that if Benoit can last over 60 minutes, breaking even Backlund's record, can throw out a few guys here and there, and still be the last man standing at the end of it all - it would take more than a somewhat controversial finish to rob Benoit of his glory. Guest Mosaicv2 Report post Posted January 21, 2004 im orderin because it looks like a solid card... & it will probably blow tat piece of shit Armageddon away ... Chavo & Eddie could be really great... i dont give a crap about Triple H & Michaels but the rest of the card looks awesome... i cant wait
Guest TheHulkster Report post Posted January 21, 2004 I think that the brand extension has really added an element of intriuge to the Rumble match. It should be a winner because of all the unlikely match-ups that you will never see on TV and the fact that the Rumble is usually one of the best booked matches that the WWE puts out. The undercard could be better, but it's solid nonetheless.

Guest Man Of 1,004 Modes Report post Posted January 21, 2004 I've ordered every Rumble since 1991 (this years will be 14 in a row), so this won't be an exception.
Guest Deebo Report post Posted January 21, 2004 Definitely ordering. This is the first time in a while that I've actually been excited about the Rumble match itself.
Austin3164life 0 Report post Posted January 21, 2004 Royal Rumble (aside from Wrestlemania) is my favorite pay per view of the year to get. It's always fun to analyze the chances of the bigger stars, and my annual ritual is to hang out at a friend's since he has a 52 in. flat screen and we always bet on the winners and losers. Karc 0 Report post Posted January 21, 2004 I don't buy the Royal Rumble if I know who is going to win. So that means I haven't bought any since 1997. I did get the replay from the 2000 Rumble, because that Rumble was just awesome. This year, I have no motivation to watch the actual match, even if I don't know who will win this time around. And I'm sick of HBK-HHH already, which would normally be an automatic 35 dollars. Armageddon 2002 humbled me.
k thx 0 Report post Posted January 21, 2004 I've got a job interview early Monday, so I wont be watching. I'll probably order the replay though, if that's an option, and watch it before coming to this site Monday.
