starvenger 0 Report post Posted February 13, 2004 I felt pretty depressed after watching that, and it definitely couldn't have been fun for her. They really made it seem like it came out of nowhere, though, didn't they? Anyways, with the construction thing, I was truly surprised that there wasn't a twist where they switch islands and redo another tribe's shelter. Seriously, I was expecting (a severely sunburned) Paige Davis to pop up out of nowhere for a minute or two...
The Robfather 0 Report post Posted February 13, 2004 Great episode. Richard has no chance at winning, but damn, he caught a shark! A survivor first! He's legacy is secure. RobC doesn't get to play with the big boys. Uh oh for Mr. 8 Ball. He could be in danger. His tribe has a strong work ethic and he is being pegged as lazy. Drunk Amber wanted a kiss from Robfather. Next week she says, "You're so... (hot?)".... I did here a rumor of a used condom.. will these two make Survivor history? I understood what Tom was saying, but given that Tanya's dad did die in a car wreck during Survivor 5, it might not have been the best way to phrase it. Rupert REALLY screwed up on that challange! starvenger 0 Report post Posted February 13, 2004 Great episode. Richard has no chance at winning, but damn, he caught a shark! A survivor first! He's legacy is secure. Man, I forgot about the shark. Everyone was so excited that Colby was probably willing to catch for Hatch. RobC doesn't get to play with the big boys. Uh oh for Mr. 8 Ball. He could be in danger. His tribe has a strong work ethic and he is being pegged as lazy. Boston Rob, ruler of the lazy tribe, a hard worker? Who is this guy and what has he done with the Robfather? What is trying to do, show that he's learned from his Marquesas experience? I understood what Tom was saying, but given that Tanya's dad did die in a car wreck during Survivor 5, it might not have been the best way to phrase it. I'm glad you understood it, as I didn't understand half of what he said. The gist was that he woulda played the game out, and dealt with it later, but that's not what most people would do? Rupert REALLY screwed up on that challange! Honestly, I've no bloody clue what he was thinking with the log cabin idea. Fun, yes. Practical given the time constraints and the help available? No.

Lord of The Curry 0 Report post Posted February 19, 2004 Your *OFFICIAL* cbs.com Survivor Preview for Thursday, February 19th. - One tribe is shell-shocked by a cruel night on the island, bringing one castaway to tears and making another feel very guilty. - The lack of politicking and scheming around her makes one tribe member paranoid. - During the Immunity Challenge, several castaways are pummeled and knocked off their feet, literally. Sounds like a fairly blah show, but I'm sure it will be good to watch. I'm thinking the tribe member that's paranoid is Sue, mainly because her tribe has been very low-key when it comes to alliances and politics and she is used to the game of backstabbing and alliances. On the CBS web site there is a vid preview in it for this week and they talk about the worst storm in the show's history hitting and then it shows Geri crying saying it's not worth it, so methinks that the guilty tribe member is Rupert because their crappy log cabbin gets wrecked. I agree with you, it can only be Saboga and their sad excuse for a shelter - The lack of politicking and scheming around her makes one tribe member paranoid. Well, it can't be Amber. That would imply that she does something other than look good in a bikini. It can't be Jerri or MILF Jenna, because that tribe's been plotting and scheming since day one. I don't think Sue gives a crap, and Alicia probably knows she's a target. So my thought is that it's either Kathy or Shii An - especially since they've got "The Stud" on their tribe... Lord of The Curry 0 Report post Posted February 19, 2004 Good point. If I were in The Stud's tribe I'd be a bit irked at his lack of political maneuvering. Methinks Rupert might go home tonight.
NYU 0 Report post Posted February 19, 2004 Well, I just recently heard a radio ad that said "You don't want to miss the last 15 minutes of Survivor: All Stars tonight." So this could probably mean a surprise booting or, maybe, a shifting of the teams. My prediction to go tonight: Chapera: Susan Saboga: Ethan Mogo Mogo: Richard. Final prediction: Susan.
starvenger 0 Report post Posted February 19, 2004 So this could probably mean a surprise booting or, maybe, a shifting of the teams. Because they were starting at 18 players, I figured a merge would happen at 14 and 10 players. Personally I was thinking that Rob C would go. Physically, Rob's the second weakest and is known to be one of the better players from Survivor. And without any previous winners on the tribe the guy who should have won will follow his castmate out of the game. If it's not Rob then I think that Ethan will go, because Jerri hasn't pissed everyone else off yet. I also predict: - Shii Ann will sit out one of the challenges. - Tom will say something that makes no sense. - Amber will sit out one of the challenges. - Amber won't do anything productive. - "The Stud" will be naked. really "bold" predictions, eh? LaParkaMarka 0 Report post Posted February 20, 2004 Rob C is gone. Can't say I'm very suprised. It was pretty amusing seeing Tom stumble around that immunity challenge. And next week he's drunk! Oh, that wacky Tom.

Zetterberg is God 0 Report post Posted February 20, 2004 The godliness of Richard Hatch is just amazing. Well he is a stud after all. Pretty decent episode this week, and the twist next week should be good considering this is All-Stars.
The Electrifyer 0 Report post Posted February 20, 2004 Espisode 5 next week and we're already getting a "twist" in the game? Seems pretty early... I'm guessing there's going to be more than just this one twist in the game this time.
starvenger 0 Report post Posted February 20, 2004 The godliness of Richard Hatch is just amazing. Well he is a stud after all. Pretty decent episode this week, and the twist next week should be good considering this is All-Stars. Two guesses. First is that every challenge from here until the merge is for immunity, which brings us to a merge at the usual time (day 18 or so). Second (and what I think will happen) is that they're merging/swapping down to 2 tribes of 7 each, after which they'll merge when they get to 10 players (day 24 or so). Third is that each immunity is now for one tribe only, so two tribes would need to vote someone out.

Damaramu 0 Report post Posted February 21, 2004 Damn......Rob C was gone. He was one of the coolest guys I'd met at the Suvivor Party. I ran into him next to one of the many beer tables and he said "Hey you're that tornado guy." and started chatting with me. Then he said "You want a beer?" and I said "Well my dad is standing right there. He'd kill me." So he starts yelling "Dad! Hey dad! Come on let us have a beer together!" My dad just gave him a funny look and he said "Guess not."
treble 0 Report post Posted February 24, 2004 Ok, I guess these are slight spoilers, but the commercials are saying that the tribe that loses the challenge will be dissolved, which I assume means sent home. But, could they just be fucking with us and there will be a 'draft' of some sorts, with the 2 remaining tribes picking up the members of the tribes that lose? That would make sense, but of course that puts the "dissolved" tribe at a huge disadvantage - not that Burnett has been about fair.
OldSchoolWrestling 0 Report post Posted February 24, 2004 And that's why you do your best not to lose the challenge, because if you do, you're screwed.

But, could they just be fucking with us and there will be a 'draft' of some sorts, with the 2 remaining tribes picking up the members of the tribes that lose? Actually, that's exactly what they're doing. The loosing tribe will be disbanded and the members divided up and sent to the two other tribes.
starvenger 0 Report post Posted February 26, 2004 Well, I've read the (alleged) boot list for the rest of the show - it's 4 for 4 so far - so I won't comment on who's going anymore, but tonight's ep has a different question: which tribe will be dissolved? My guess is Saboga, because really, they haven't done very well in challenges, so I see them dropping the ball here.
The Electrifyer 0 Report post Posted February 26, 2004 Damn, I like this 3-tribe thing Survivor has right now. I don't want to see them reduce it to 2 tribes just yet. If they do indeed have this happen tonight, then my guess is Chapera will be disbanded. I'm guessing them just because everyone probably expects Saboga to lose. starvenger 0 Report post Posted February 26, 2004 Interesting note on the boot sheet is that this is where a lot of the Survivor fan sites say that it will go wrong. Check out the ABT for who they think will go, and who "sleek28" has predicted. The consensus, though, is still that the final two will be ********* and **********
Kahran Ramsus 0 Report post Posted February 27, 2004 I knew it. Nobody would let him stay past the first Tribal Council he was at. He truly is the greatest Survivor of all time.
MarvinisaLunatic 0 Report post Posted February 27, 2004 I saw on the news today where a "Female Survivor All Star" ends up quiting next week due to an incident on tonights show. Feeling bored enough to sit through and watch it tonight, its Sue and they showed her arguing next week, well she ends up quiting as well because of Rich rubbing his privates on her during the one challenge. Shes also threatening to sue just about everyone she can. Fun. If anyone is in a contest, Sue is the next one to leave, although she doesn't get voted out. starvenger 0 Report post Posted February 27, 2004 I knew it. Nobody would let him stay past the first Tribal Council he was at. He truly is the greatest Survivor of all time. Rich Hatch helped popularize reality TV's current boom, and it's his strategy that others have tried to duplicate (or adapt) ever since. I think Rob C getting voted off last week showed that if you've been damn good at this game, you're gonna get whacked at the first opportunity. Giving Rich boot, while a smart move, was also a sign of the other player's respect of the man. And it's becoming apparent that like in the Pearl Islands, the "blindside" is going to be the method of choice in ASS. I think that rumours were that two people quit ASS. However, given that how previews tend to be a bait and switch, there's a chance that Sue doesn't quit. But from how pissed off she sounded, I think that she will. RavishingRickRudo 0 Report post Posted February 27, 2004 Boston Rob is THE MAN. Shit, that was a sweet takedown on Colby, picture perfect. That man knows how to wrestle. He also destroyed Ethan. They need more physical confrontations like that. The last 20 minutes of that show was fucking AWESOME. I loved how it all seemingly changed and switched sides and there was soooo much politics involved that you felt guilty for even watching it and in the end _everyone_ votes off Richard. That was sweet.
The Electrifyer 0 Report post Posted February 27, 2004 Too bad the first time Boston Rob battled he lost. He should have kicked Ethan's ass the first time and claimed an undefeated record in the battling. I actually thought it was going to be Colby leaving this week. Seeing how the chicks began plotting against him and began not trusting him, I thought it would be definate Colby was going.
