Guns N' Roses at Wrestlemania?

Recommended Posts

Guest wildpegasus
They should just use Limp Bizkit again.

Everyone loves Limp Bizkit

I think that's meant to be sarcastic but I'm in a bad now so I have to let off some steam.

I HATE, HATE, HATE, HATE Limp Biscuit. It pains me to waste time writing his name. And I know I spelt it wrong. I just don't care to go back and fix it.

Why has Wrestlemania become a parody of the movie Body Slam?

Hey that wouldn't be such a bad thing cause that would mean the return of your friend and mine: Dirk Benedict. He could be the guest ref in the main event.

Yes, please!

Bring in Murdoch too ... ah hell ... let's see Mr. T while we're at it!

..... Guns N Roses is an awesome band, and Bucketheads Album is great.

But a rap version of the song? That = gay

Our local radio station wont play their songs. There was going to be this big concert at the Virginia Beach Amphitheater, with a bunch of rock bands. The local radio station, FM99, decided to make a quilt(or some sort of collage) which had pictures of all the bands. During the concert, Fred Durst got pissed off because there weren't enough Limp Bizkit pictures. And...when they were holding auditions at the local Guitar Center for a new guitarist, they had everyone trying out sign an agreement saying they can use their music. When they were supposed to perform a sort of soundcheck(or mini-concert) for some fans at Guitar Center, they no-showed.

I don't really notice them being gone from the radio, in my area. :D

You know, D-12 would have been five hundred times better.

I know I'm gonna regret this, but I've been wondering for a while.

Does D-12 stand for something?

Wow, this is stupid.

Doesn't WWE try to get the "hip" bands of today?

They should shoot for Outkast.

GOOD LORD NO.

That new song was cute the first couple of times I've heard it, but I'm likely to punch the TV if they play it one more time.

Guns N Roses would definitely invoke some interest from the media though. Especially MTV. There are A LOT of people waiting very, very impatiently for Axl to get the new album produced and in stores. Rap version or no, this would gain some media attention.

Dirk Benedict would be great. He could run out and help Rikishi retain the tag team titles. And than Tazz can try to explain why.

Ugh, my friend plays it in his truck everytime I am in there to piss me off.

"I loved the way you MOOOOOOOOVE"

Lol.

..... Guns N Roses is an awesome band,

Correction. Guns N Roses WAS a great band. They are an embarassment now, especially Axl. After watching the debacle a year ago at the MTV Music Awards where Axl and GNR finished the show, I'd be happy as pie to never have to see them perform live again. God, Axl is a fucking freak now. I think I'll pass on the "Axl Rose Experience" and hope to God I get one, maybe two matches that break the 3 star barrier on a five plus hour wrestling show.

Layzie Bone performing with GNR just ups the freak show factor that much more. Plus it pisses all over a now classic song. All the members of Bone suck ass anyways.

Why doesn't WWE just have a wrestling show for WMXX? It can't be THAT fucking hard, can it? We are already going to have an Industrial Light and Magic show with Taker vs Kane, I really don't need to see a makeshift GNR and Axl "my beard now grows behind my ears from the facelift" Rose making complete asses of themselves on the biggest promoted wrestling show of the year.

I dunno. They have pretty good people in there.

Vocals: Axl Rose (I think that speaks for itself)

Guitar: Robin Finck (Nine Inch Nails)

Guitar: Buckethead (Beloved experimental guitarist)

Guitar: Richard Fortus (Sought after session player)

Bass: Tommy Stinson (The Replacements)

Keyboards: Dizzy Reed (GNR, the Illusions era)

Keyboards: Chris Pittman (Nine Inch Nails, I think)

Drums: "Brain" Mantia (Primus)

A RAP version? WHAT THE FUCK?!

If you can't have a hit song, cover someone else's.

And I'd rather have a messed up GNR play than Eminem's no name buddy. At least they have name value...from the era Vince's head is probably in right now. I don't really WANT GNR there...unless maybe we have Foley v Orton Hardcore Rules, and Foley comes out as Cactus Jack to "Welcome To The Jungle." That'd be a mark out moment.

Besides, there's not too many other bands they can get to perform that'd be any good, and sure as hell none everyone will agree on.

They do have two songs out. But yes, they are both overplayed. However, their album is GREAT and has plenty of good songs on it. Besides, by time WMXX comes around, they will have released a new song.

Aww, last time I heard him sing, he sounded like he smoked way too many cigs.

My only question is this. If Kane sets someone on fire with his Pyro, is Axl going to throw another fit and walk off stage bitching about being upstaged?

I saw Guns & Roses play about 18 months back, and personally, I thought they were fucking great (although true to form, they were waaay late on stage). I'd love to see them at WM, but absolutely not doing some shitty rap cover of one of their classics.

They won't go anyway, so meh.

And again I can’t see why Vince would put stock in a guy who hasn’t shown up any of his OWN concerts a million times over…I hope he doesn’t plans to have Lillian Garcia as his backup plan

As a general rule, I just assume that the WM performances will be my break from the show time, so I don't really care.

Then again, they could pick up this year's act at an insane asylum and just hand them guitars and drums and say "Do whatever you want for four minutes" and it would be better than seeing Limp freaking Bizkit twice in the one show, not to mention Ashanti opening the broadcast.

"Since being in the WWF, I have noticed that there are many different ways to succeed and achieve success. I've noticed that talent is pointless. I've noticed that sheer will and determination are useless. And being the best damn technical wrestler in the entire industry does not mean one damn thing. See, here in the WWF, success is not gauged by your wrestling ability. A perfect example of that would be Triple H." - Chris Benoit, October 2000.

Hey, Deviant. A little off topic I guess, but where's that Benoit quote in your sig from?

Honestly, I hope you all know that the only way this will be good is if GNR is introduced by Harry M. Smilac......
