Hektik 0 Report post Posted February 11, 2004 Triple H has been giving every indication that he's not planning to be involved with Benoit after WrestleMania 20. Instead, Triple H has been pushing for Edge to move to Raw so that the two can have a program together after Edge returns from neck surgery which should be soon after WMXX. Source: PWTorch Now I think this is something that we have heard before but it brings up an interesting question. What about Smackdown? When Edge comes back he will more than likely be pushed to the main event while he is still hot. Why must the WWE continue to show favoritism towards Raw. It seems every week the WWE puts all their best ideas on Raw, while it seems like they put Smackdown together in 10 minutes. I thought the point of brand extension was to make both Raw and Smackdown A shows. But now it seems to have gone back to Raw being the A show and Smackdown being the B show
haVoc 0 Report post Posted February 11, 2004 That program better not have a title involved.
Austin3164life 0 Report post Posted February 11, 2004 HGH is hungry, so thus, Vince must feed him Edge.
ChrisMWaters 0 Report post Posted February 11, 2004 Watch they set up another Hair vs. Hair feud between Edge and HHH.
Austin3164life 0 Report post Posted February 11, 2004 Triple H- "I use Head and Shouldersuhh, cause I'm auhh step above everyoneuhh" Edge- "Yeah, I'll bet you stroke yourself with it as well. What a dork." Triple H- "Enjoy your pus-- I mean your spotlightuhh while it lasts."
Guest Krazy Karter Report post Posted February 11, 2004 Alright, now my Wrestlemania prediction makes perfect sense. First match: Shawn Michaels vs. HHH (surprise guest referee: Edge) Shawn wins the world title. Second match: Chris Benoit vs. Shawn Michaels (surprise guest referee: Bret Hart) Benoit wins the world title.
Guest BionicRedneck Report post Posted February 11, 2004 Jeez...SmackDown is screwed. Their roster is really short of stars as it is.
Michrome 0 Report post Posted February 11, 2004 Ha Ha Ha. Right. HHH losing in the first match. Are you nuts? Anyway, Smackdown! has Eddy Guerrero and John Cena as major babyfaces, who needs edge Put him on Raw.
The Ghost of bps21 0 Report post Posted February 11, 2004 Edge is overrated. But...HHH wants it so his will shall be done.
Art Sandusky 0 Report post Posted February 11, 2004 A lot of people seem to be buying into the Wrestlemania X-style title matches. Do we really have any evidence to support it? And oh yeah, keep Edge on Smackdown, they're starting to run low on star power as it is.
MarvinisaLunatic 0 Report post Posted February 11, 2004 I figured his after WM XX plans would be to pose with the belt and point at Benoit while laughing as he leaves the ring hugging HBK. I guess thats his "immediately after" plan. They could easily have Edge come in and spear HHH to get Benoit the tainted victory, but then you know that HHH would beat Benoit for the title right back at Backlash, and then he could do the HHH vs Edge thing leading up to BAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAD BLOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOD. JoeDirt 0 Report post Posted February 11, 2004 Oh come on guys...you know HHH just wants Edge on RAW because Edge is a great young talent HHH wants to make sure gets put over in a great give-and-take, even, balanced feud.
Brett Favre 0 Report post Posted February 11, 2004 Edge needs the rub.
JoeDirt 0 Report post Posted February 11, 2004 Edge needs the rub. Indeed...Trips _COULD_ make him into a huge star when he returns... But he won't.
Downhome 0 Report post Posted February 11, 2004 Edge needs the rub, but he doesn't need to loose to HHH in a feud which would end up being pointless. I plain just don't like Edge though, so I'll be pulling for HHH in this one.
haVoc 0 Report post Posted February 11, 2004 Triple H/Edge feud doesn't feel right. Dunno why, it just doesn't. A Edge/Orton feuds seems better fit.
Brett Favre 0 Report post Posted February 11, 2004 Edge and Triple H seems interesting. Orton and Edge doesn't interest me too much. Is it just me, and I think it is, but everyone Kurt Angle feuds with seems right. Like nothing seems like a bad match with Kurt. Anyway, Edge needs to stay on Smackdown! or Bob Holly will main event summerslam or something.
JoeDirt 0 Report post Posted February 11, 2004 The question is, what other guys can RAW import to "feed" to HHH? They've _gotta_ be running out of options!
Guest wildpegasus Report post Posted February 11, 2004 Hey, Hey, Hey, Goodbye. A fitting song for Edge considering he's Canadian. HHH never ceases to amaze me. Smackdown is like his own personal OVW. Somewhere Canadian Chick is crying her heart out only finding hope in the fact she doesn't believe in the Torch. I feel sorry for her and all Edge fans. Edge doesn't deserve this. He deserves a lot better.
JoeDirt 0 Report post Posted February 11, 2004 I can't wait to hear the "I'll tell you you're not in my league while you stare at me" promo.
EdwardKnoxII 0 Report post Posted February 11, 2004 Edge doesn't deserve this. He deserves a lot better. Amen to that. Funny thing is I always thought HHH would be jumping to SD to bury their people. Instead he has them shipped over to RAW for him to feed on.
JoeDirt 0 Report post Posted February 11, 2004 So HHH lobbies to bring Benoit into RAW because Benoit can work matches of his style and work his pace. So then they book a _ladder_ match (apparently) at WMXX with HHH and Benoit and add HBK to the mix, and then after WMXX HHH is done with Benoit and moving on to put (himself) over Edge next. The only thing that makes sense is for Benoit to win at WM...or for HBK to win it, and Benoit to beat him at Backlash in Edmonton. But I think we can throw common sense out the window, don't you think?

Guest hunger4unger Report post Posted February 11, 2004 I think that you are speculating too much. The thing to remember is that whilst it is unlikely that Benoit will go over at Mania, he is still getting the huge payday.

True...I'm sure it doesn't bother him as much as it does the smark community.
Guest hunger4unger Report post Posted February 11, 2004 Exactly. A wrestler knows, or should know, that belts are merely props and it's just a show. $$$ is what it's all about.
JoeDirt 0 Report post Posted February 11, 2004 So really...why are we feeling badly about Benoit when there'll be a ton of talented guys left off the card? I guess you can't fit everybody... I hope WM does a good buyrate, though.
Guest FrigidSoul Report post Posted February 11, 2004 We shouldn't feel badly for Benoit on a personal level, however as fans we should be pissed because they can entertain us better by using Benoit more than Triple-H.

I feel sorry for her and all Edge fans. Edge doesn't deserve this. He deserves a lot better. Thank god I don't trust the Torch. But even if this was true, I'd like to see how it plays out. Because I believe Trips actually likes Edge, judging from some of the interviews I've read. Edge is homegrown too. I'd say he would have a pretty good chance at having a decent feud with HHH. That could be wishful thinking, though.
