Use Your Illusion 0 Report post Posted February 12, 2004 I was thinking the other day, how many workers were actually used far better by Turner's WCW than by the now WWE. Straight off the top of my head without putting too much thought into it: Diamond Dallas Page (in just about every single way possible) Chris Kanyon Scott Steiner Goldberg Rey Mysterio Jr. Ultimo Dragon Perry Saturn (always felt he was better off in WCW) Shane Douglas Billy Kidman Sean O'Haire Chuck Palumbo Mark Jindrak No doubt, there are sure to be many, many more. Guest Man Of 1,004 Modes Report post Posted February 12, 2004 I guess I'll add Dean Malenko. They never really did anything with him besides making up the 4th member of the Radicalz, feuding with LITA, and holding the LHW Title for a year without making anymore than maybe 5 defenses until losing it out of nowhere and retiring. Guest Man Of 1,004 Modes Report post Posted February 12, 2004 Raven,Rick Rude and Vader are guys from the 90s used better by WCW. I would argue Rude's case. He was pretty much involved in upper midcard feuds his entire stay in WWF. Roberts, Warrior, Piper and BossMan until he was fired or quit. He was the first person to defeat Warrior and for the IC Title at WM, and was one of the more over heels.

Use Your Illusion 0 Report post Posted February 12, 2004 Regal? Seriously? If anything, the Regal super-push upon his return to WWE is enough to dispell that nomination. I can't think of anything note-worthy 'Lord Steven Regal' did in Turnerland at all, yet alone anything that rivals the exposure he recieved initially when he was hired by Vince. treble 0 Report post Posted February 12, 2004 I have to disagree with Mysterio. He was never really seriously booked outside of anything but a cruiserweight in WCW, yet could play with the big boys (well, sort of, anyway) when he came to WWE. Really, I don't have to remind anyone of Mysterio's time as the most fucking annoying person on the planet as a member of the Filthy Animals, do I?

I can't think of anything note-worthy 'Lord Steven Regal' did in Turnerland at all, yet alone anything that rivals the exposure he recieved initially when he was hired by Vince. At least in WCW, he had more than 3 minutes to work with. So did Regal. That's my point. He got 10-15 minutes when he was TV champ all the time back in the day. He faced Sting on PPV (!!!) and other top-notch competitors, and was always booked as if he could win. In WWE, he could beat Austin with STEPHANIE McMAHON's help, but that's it. He could win the IC title over people like Edge when they were pushed as weak. He's closer than a lot of the others, but I still think his talents were better used in WCW than in WWE. Downhome 0 Report post Posted February 12, 2004 In WWE Regal got more exposure and more time to work with his character (for a while). In WCW, he was promoted much better, as a wrestler, which is what the guy is at heart. The only "comedy" you ever saw of him was what you saw on his face in his matches. To me, WCW treated him much better. You could almost say that EVERYONE from WCW that came to WWE after the close of the company, was used better in WCW than they have been in WWE. Guest Stunt Granny Report post Posted February 13, 2004 Add Jeff Jarrett to that list as well. Vince would never let him come within shitting distance of the title, but WCW treated him as if he were the God of wrestling.

Last I checked he was the least drawing Champion EVER in WWF. Yeah he was, IN THE WWF. Frank was talking about WCW, and Nash, as apart of the awesome new World order angle, drew shitloads. No one I've met has ever said he'd of been able to do that on his own though, so I do see your point. Bret drew shit all in WCW, but the way he was booked didn't exactly focus on his strengths (i.e. running Bret for the fucking United States title when he should of gone straight into a feud with Hogan) UYI
