Goodbye, New York.

Recommended Posts

Well, the moment of truth has arrived. It's 2:15am right now and my friend will be here with his car in the morning. To tell you the truth, I haven't even begun packing. Most likely, I'm going to be staying up tonight. The last thing I'll pack up is the good old computer.

It hasn't hit me just how drastic of a move this is for me. I've lived in New York state all of my life, with 21 of the those years in the Bronx. This is going to be the first time that I'm responsible for myself, taking care of the bills, paying rent, etc. The one that really confirms change to me is driving. All of the things that I'll be responsible for, I've paid in small doses over the years. A credit card bill here, a magazine subscription here. Hell, I even got my very first cell phone yesterday. But now, every responsibility is cranked to 10 and to boot...the transportation system is about 2% of NYC's. I've wanted to get my license since I was 15 years old, but unfortunately, I never took the chance to learn. Sure, I had opportunities. My DVD collection is tremendous, but I'm sure if I put off purchasing 30 or so of them, I would have had my license by now.

Anyway, before I continue rambling, I'd just like to say thanks. Thanks for taking what can be an impossible job and make me happy to do it 95% of it. All I ask is that you guys hold down the fort while I'm gone.

The final word on TSM while I am gone will be Dr. Tom. Hopefully, there isn't anything to clean up when I get back.

I won't have internet capabilities for a month or so, or at least until I have my own place. The people who I'm staying with in the interim don't have a land line, only cell phones so can't get online. Once I do, I'll finally have high speed internet of some sort.

So, I'm off basically. Off to hopefully achieve what I desire most in this world.

Money, Power and Respect.

Wish me luck.

Whoa, I guess since I'm up, I'll be the first to wish you good luck. You really do a great job of keeping this place sane.

We're doomed!!! No j/k :P

Will you at least check in from time to time from a public library or something?

Good Luck in...(reads back of guitar with name written on it) Connecticut. Won't be as cool as New York (Damn I miss living there) but hey, one step ahead in touring the United States LOL.

See you Dames.

Hope to meet you at the Connecticut ROH shows!

Fat chance.

I don't go to ROH shows, but that's a long story. It has nothing to do with the product itself.

Dames, welcome to CT.

Where our Gov. steals money from the state, casino's run wild and you have highest taxes in the country.

Hey, atleast we have a good college women's basketball team.

Dames, don't be afraid when you get out of New York and the atmosphere isn't filled with crap...what you'll now be breathing is called "oxygen". It may take a little time for your lungs to adjust to but I guarentee you'll like it.

Money, Power and Respect.

You already have power and respect here. Nonetheless, it sucks that you'll be offline for a while. I know from recent experience that no internet access when you're used to being on every day can be horrible. It's like an addiction... like you can't remember what you did before you had net access.

Anyway, I'm happy for you. Moving away from a place you've lived your entire life can be scary (I just did it), but it's also very exciting. I don't have to pay rent or many bills yet, so I can't say I know how that is, but I hope to move out on my own soon. I'm sure things will be rough at first, but the independence will be well worth the struggle.

Good luck, Dames. I believe I can speak for most of the people here when I say that I hope the move goes well and I hope that you are back with us very soon.

Don't feel so bad EQ, all I got from him was a text message saying that the program I sent him for his new phone doesn't work!

Good Luck Damian, thank you for the flowers and friday, and I'll see you at Wrestlemania.

Heh, how nice. And after I called him (which I never do) to wish him good luck before he left.

Well, I'll say it again. Good luck at the new job and on getting your own place. When you get the place, I'll come visit (assuming you call and tell me your address)

This boggles my mind. How can you city folk not have a car, and remain sane? I realize that public transportation makes it so driving isn't a necessity like it is here, but still, don't you (this goes for any urban non-drivers) ever feel..trapped?

SURPRISE!!!

I didn't think that I'd have any access to the internet and while I really don't, i'm at a friends house who's letting me stay on for a few minutes.

So far, the job is going very well. I'm enjoying the training sessions and I've met some cool people. The living situation is still kinda odd since i'm essentially living out of a bag, but hopefully that won't last too long.

I did get to see the tail end of No Way Out and like Zack said, I thought the match was excellent. Initial impressions from me say ****3/4, but I need to see it again. Glad to see Eddie get a huge pop and even Goldberg's pop was probably the biggest I've seen since the Attitude era.

Yeah, I know I didn't call a couple of people. My bad. EQ, we've spoken a couple of times.

Miss Indy Queen, you know the deal. I just wanted you to miss me, like I said.

Banky, leave her alone.

And yes, I have spies.

Hopefully, I'll be popping in once in a while, but it looks like I'll be without the net for the next 6 weeks or so.

I miss you all.
