Now I know he hasn't done as much house shows since his comeback like other stars have but I had heard not too long ago that he intended to wrestle more house shows. haVoc 0 Report post Posted February 22, 2004 Not all ACL tears are the same. Some are worst then others. Victoria worked through her injury and she continues to wear the knee brace to be safe. I think it was Living Dangerously 99. Tommy was too hurt to wrestle but came out to tell the crowd about the TNN deal. Out comes Corino to tell Tommy to put him over and make him a star on ppv. I think Tommy just ends up kicking his ass and gets beat up by someone else. This hasn't been done at Wrestlemania before, so it's like they're making history on a historic night. Shawn Michaels was apart of the first ladder match at Wrestlemania(or the first ladder match at a Wrestlemania;either one is okay), which made history. They are supposed to make history. If it's just HHH vs. Chris Benoit, it may not be as good. Take No Mercy 2000, for example. That was a pretty good match, I must admit. However, it was not near the level of greatness as a Wrestlemania main event(unlike Guerrero/Angle which will be AWESOME! ). Plus, that was before HHH's torn quad, and before Benoit's neck injury. Adding Shawn Michaels introduces a new style into the mix of the Main Event pot(And RVD wants to smoke it ). HBK vs. Benoit last week was pretty good as well. If you add a pretty good match(HHH vs. Benoit No Mercy 2000) with another pretty good match(HBK vs. Benoit RAW last week), plus a great match(HHH vs. HBK RAW 12/29/03), you get an excellent Wrestlemania Triple Threat Title Match(which may possibly be the main event). I'm looking forward to it, along with all the other matches at Wrestlemania 20(except the women's tag with no wrestlers in it), and I expect this to be a memorable night and an excellent Wrestlemania. Why couldn't Shawn, knowing well of his ACL injury, opt OUT of the Three way by beating HHH in a Non-Title Match (thus "WINNING" that feud) a couple weeks ago, Move on and do a Program with Rock (the ONLY big name he hasn't faced save for The Smackdown Godly Trio)...Where he could have SHOWSTOPPER match with the most electricfying man in the game and those two would have MSG going insane for a good 15-25 minutes and everyone knows Rock can mask a shitty match (look at WMX8 with Hogan) or cover a green worker (Brock) or injured worker (Austin, WMX9).... Shawn goes over...Goes FULL BLOWN HEEL on Benoit and since he beat Triple H already, that makes him the deFacto #1 contender...They obviously play up on Montreal, Bischoff with his Job on the line Announces Bret Hart will make his WWE Return at Backlash in Edmonton... Benoit confirms it later that night via interview with Coach (to tell the fans it's NOT a switch n bait)...But Benoit lets the cat out of the Bag and tells the world that Bret not only will BE at Backlash but will be in fact the Special Guest Enforcer. HBK shows small signs of fear but keeps his cocky coolness by taking shots at Bret's health "Hey, What's a Crippled Gimp going to do to "ENFORCE" the match, Hey, Bret I took your livihood and your pride from you in Montreal but In Edmonton, I'm taking your soul when I beat your Boy, Chris Benoit for that title that RIGHTFULLY belongs to me right in Ca-NA-da, in front of your very eyes, and there's nothing that your gimpy ass can do about it" Backlash Time. Bret Hart comes out to a LOOONG delayed enterance with the crowd going absolutely batshit...The music continues...and He finally steps out, dressed simply in Jeans and Black shirt. He Does one last Stroll in the ring for old times sake...He gets the mic and as he begins to speak "SEXY BOY" Blares, garnering MONSTER heat (more then what Austin got in the PEAK of the Canada/Austin feud)...Shawn surrounded by a fleat of Armed Escorts, cockily grins to the ring...Bret already has left the ring and is standing by the announcers...Shawn hops into the ring and does his spiel...still with extreme heat. Benoit comes out, simple and to the point, doesn't really play to the crowd. Makes a small gesture of respect to the Hitman as Shawn overdoes it and taunts Bret. Bret stands there with a smirk. Benoit stands TALL in the ring like a Man, as Shawn does his best Ali impersionation, dancing around. Finally, Chioda (Hebner isn't there for HIS saftey) settles Shawn down...They do a staredown with the rules being explained...Shawn grins and finally slaps Benoit and Benoit slaps right back and shots are thrown. Shawn goes for the SCM but Benoit captures it and goes for the repeated Germans spot, Although hitting the ref on the third one...EDMONTON instantly buzzes knowing this puts Bret in charge of the Match...Benoit doesn't go for the pin, he continues to work on Shawn...Bret stays outside the ring. Shawn rolls out and picks up the chair left by Bret after taking Flair out...Bret pulls it away and Shawn goes "FUCK YOU" and Takes Bret out via SCM...Shawn smirks as if to say "I was ALWAYS better then you"...Benoit comes flying with a Suicide Dive and they go crashing over the tables...A new ref comes down to adminster the 10 count...Flair, whom finally recovers tries to drag Shawn into the ring...But Benoit revives himself and knocks down Flair AND Shawn and rolls Shawn back in...another couple minutes and another ref bump...Shawn locks Benoit into ANOTHER sharpshooter and Vince McMahon runs out to pull a Montreal but Bret Takes that Chair and CLOCKS Vince from behind to a OUTRAGEOUS POP. Shawn gets pissy...Turns around and Walks into the Cross-Face...And Bret slides in and waits for Shawn to tap and he does. Bret shouts "RING THE BELL!"
