Guest I Got Banned for Sucking Posted June 19, 2004 Report Posted June 19, 2004 10/10 Yes, that's a serious rating.
Aero Posted June 20, 2004 Report Posted June 20, 2004 Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl (9/10)
Guest Choken One Posted June 20, 2004 Report Posted June 20, 2004 Thursday - Saved!- 8.6 Today - Kill Bill Vol. 1-8.7 (still over rated)
Guest I Got Banned for Sucking Posted June 20, 2004 Report Posted June 20, 2004 Interesting crime film, to say the least... All of the "cleanness" reminded me of One Hour Photo.
BlackFlagg Posted June 21, 2004 Report Posted June 21, 2004 While I was gone.. Troy - 6/10 Day After Tomorrow - 5/10 Pirates of the Caribbean - 7.5/10
Guest Choken One Posted June 26, 2004 Report Posted June 26, 2004 Fahrenheit 9/11 7.5/10. Lack that big punch but the lack of moore's on screen presence (about 10 minutes total) was a plus. He let the images speak and not him.
MrRant Posted June 26, 2004 Report Posted June 26, 2004 Flash Gordon 8/10 It's just a fun sci-fi movie.
Guest slacklet Posted June 26, 2004 Report Posted June 26, 2004 Dodgeball (Fahrenheit 9-11 was sold out) - 7.5/10
Youth N Asia Posted June 26, 2004 Report Posted June 26, 2004 The Crow A little more cheese than I remember, but a cool movie anyway. 8 out of 10
Jingus Posted June 26, 2004 Report Posted June 26, 2004 Ringu - 6/10 Disappointing, and maybe the only foreign film I've ever seen where the American remake was actually better.
Youth N Asia Posted June 26, 2004 Report Posted June 26, 2004 I did not like The Ring...it didn't scare me the least bit.
Jingus Posted June 27, 2004 Report Posted June 27, 2004 I loved The Ring, although a lot of that is due to the fact that if I wrote down a list of some of my personal fears and phobias, it would be damn near identical to a lot of the shit The Ring hits you with. (And the girl's loft in the barn is startlingly close to a story idea that I had myself.) But Ringu didn't have a lot of the backstory and style that made the remake so creepy to me, like the bit with the horse on the boat, so I just didn't like it as much.
nogoodnick Posted June 27, 2004 Report Posted June 27, 2004 Badder Santa- pretty funny movie 7/10 Hollow Man- on tv 5/10 Kickboxer - also on tv 7/10 if you like crappy Van Damme movies
spiny norman Posted June 27, 2004 Report Posted June 27, 2004 The Great Dictator - 10/10. Absolute awesomeness. And to think I know someone who thinks Valentino was the best of the silent stars and not Chaplin (though this was a talkie).
Guest 5.0Fanatic Posted June 28, 2004 Report Posted June 28, 2004 Hollowman- 6/10 Sugar and Spice (on TBS) -
Hank Kingsley Posted June 29, 2004 Report Posted June 29, 2004 Big Fish - 8.5/10 Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid - 9.5/10
Insane Bump Machine Posted June 29, 2004 Report Posted June 29, 2004 The Assignment - ****1/2 One of the best spy thrillers I've seen.
Insane Bump Machine Posted June 30, 2004 Report Posted June 30, 2004 Das Wunder von Bern (The Miracle of Bern) - ***1/2 A good enough movie, but immensely overrated. Some scenes were embarrassingly bad.
slimm44 Posted June 30, 2004 Report Posted June 30, 2004 Gigli - 5/10 Good movie, dragged on too long
