Enough of Bob Holly

Many WWE wrestlers are getting sick of Bob Holly. The word is that he is always in a grumpy mood, is very bitter, and feels he should get big pushes just because of how long he has been with the company.

Angle has high hopes for his WM match

Kurt Angle is going into WrestleMania XX with very high hopes for his match with Eddie Guerrero. Angle has been telling people that he feels 100% and plans to have the "match of the show." He is also thrilled that he has an opponent like Guerrero who can keep up with and compliment him.

What are your thoughts?

I feel that the Holly situation is probably not blown too much out of proportion, based on his history so far. He has shown to be an egotistical self-centered hot head, whom shows little to no respect for others. I see him being reduced to further down the card, until he just vanishes from TV, and becomes a road agent, or something. I'm biased though, as I really can't stand the guy.

Kurt Angle, on the other hand, will most likely have a damned good match against Eddie, though it remains to be seen if he truly is, or will ever be "100%". With his kind of neck injuries, I don't have any real confidence in him being the Kurt Angle of old again in the ring. As for the "match of the show" comment, well there isn't really much else that is looking to be real great, workrate-wise. Now the main question will be how long will the fued go(just until 'Mania, or later?), and where Eddie and Angle go from there...

They should job Hardcore Holly to Billy Gunn EVERY WEEK for this.

Hardcore Holly vs. Billy Gunn?

Job him to Funaki instead. No sense in Gunn winning anything, ever. No sense in him being employed either. Or alive.

No they should have Holly job to TE Matt, the one that he stiffed, every week till he's fired and then in his last match let Matt stiff the hell out of him.

I've heard this four years ago, how is this news?

I'm wondering just how this is going to play out on SD myself. Have they ever had a TV match together, to anyone's knowledge?

I am pretty sure that Kurt Angle and Eddie Guerrero have had two singles matches so far...one on the 10/30/02 edition of SmackDown and I believe one in early to mid-2003 on SmackDown as well. As far as tag matches, I believe they have had at least 3-4 tag matches against each other (Angle and Benoit vs. Eddie and Chavo), on SmackDown and PPV (Rebellion 2002, Survivor Series 2002).

Cept every other old loser still with the company is on top of the food chain. Taker, Flair, HHH, HBK, and even that waste of space Bradsaw all sit high on the cards even though they are old and should have moved on.

Holly may be old and bitter but at least he doesn't come off like an insane old man who has had one too many whiskey shots like Flair does.

And come on, if any of you had been with a company for such and such years you'd have expected to move up as well. He's just an older employee who is pissed his advanced hasn't happened.

Taker, Flair, HHH and even Bradshaw have something that Holly will never have: Heat.

Also, unlike Holly, all of them at least sometime in their careers were a draw.

Bradsaw was a draw?

And like I said, he's just an older employee who is pissed he hasn't advanced. It doesn't mean he has done anything, he's just like every other employee who does not but expects to move up because of how long they have been around.

Well, if I hadn't done anything of note over those many years, I would understand why I hadn't advanced.

(Bradshaw is another story - he's from Texas, bah gawd. You don't mess w/ Texas, or so goes the scuttlebutt.)

Bradshaw drew? When?

But, here's the thing Holly takes out his bitterness on other wrestlers in the ring. Holly's known for working to stiff with guys in the ring. And he's known for stiffing new guys that get bigger pushes then him because he thinks they "haven't paid their dues" and because he's bitter about it. I mean TE Matt, Brock, and Matt Morgan. All because they're getting bigger pushes then him.

Can't wait for Angle / Guerrero. I'm still shocked to know they've never had a PPV match together before (unless I'm wrong).

Trying to prove he's more important but working a style that only he can work, or trying to make them believe only he can.

I never said it was right, I just said I get it and it makes sense that he's a pissed off bitter old man.

Kurt Angle has a ridiculously huge ego. He always talks about having the worlds greatest matches with everyone. But theres a problem - he's been wrestling the same damn match for the past 3 years. He doesn't do anything different. Its all so pedestrian. The only time he ever left that realm was with Lesnar last year at WM, but he had to because he was injured. Either than that, if you've seen one Kurt Angle match, there isn't really a reason to see another - unless he is fighting Chris Benoit. Who knows if Angle will be able to live up to his side of the bargain with Guerrero.

This is the same guy that claimed his match with brock was going to be a classic, a match for the ages and what did he do? Provided Three sputtering generic average matches with ONLY ONE even hitting above ***1/4 mark (Slam).

He said that his series with Cena was going to be a GREAT comedy feud...yeah that happened.

Why settle for jobbing him to Billy when they could have Holly MARRY him and really humiliate him?

This week, on a very special Smackdown, Hardcore Holly helps Billy Gunn mend his broken heart after losing Torrie...

As for Angle, he's always been one of my favorites so I just laugh at him when he talks about putting on "the best matches" ever. If he does have an ego, it doesn't seem mean-spirited to me, just that he really lives his gimmick. Either that or he's being a good boy towing the company line. You really expect him to give an interview like this?

"Well to be perfectly frank, my Ironman match with Brock sucked and my program with Cena wasn't funny at all. In fact I don't see my matches with Eddie being much better, so you may as well stop watching. Just giving you a head's up."

Come on now.

Looking at the card, I honestly can't imagine anything that could possibly be better than Angle/Eddie, even if it's sub-par. A bunch of big matches, but nothing, you know, good.

He's letting the ego run again. Keep up with him. Visions of grandeur.

"My matches with Brock unfortunately didn't live up to my expectations, and my Cena program was the biggest disaster since the Edge feud."

I'm sorry, you can only polish a turd so much.

That was exactly the first thing that came to mind when I read that. "Keep up with him"?? It wasn't Eddie that had to take two long hiatuses due to injuries last year.

It also insinuates that Angle has faster-paced matches than most. While debatable, it's not like it matters since WWE has made it clear that they're moving away from that kind of match (with good reason considering the injuries that resulted from that style).
