Karnage Posted February 28, 2004 Report Posted February 28, 2004 Is anyone watching this right now? It's funny seeing "celebrities" screw up on words.
Ravenbomb Posted February 28, 2004 Report Posted February 28, 2004 I'll just picture celebrities not being able to spell. It'll probably be a lot more entertaining in my head than the actual show will be
Ced Posted February 28, 2004 Report Posted February 28, 2004 Celebrity Spelling Bee?!? OK, Fox is really, really scraping the bottom of the barrel for new show ideas.
Ravenbomb Posted February 28, 2004 Report Posted February 28, 2004 Next month on Fox: Celebrity Thumb Wrestling
1234-5678 Posted February 28, 2004 Report Posted February 28, 2004 Next Wednesday on FOX: Celebrity-Rock, Paper, Scissors..........Who will triumph in this battle of wits?
The Ghost of bps21 Posted February 28, 2004 Report Posted February 28, 2004 Celebrity Spelling Bee?!? OK, Fox is really, really scraping the bottom of the barrel for new show ideas. What I enjoy most of all...is that this show ran where Firefly would have had Fox not cancelled it to make room for...new programming.
Ravenbomb Posted February 28, 2004 Report Posted February 28, 2004 Tonight on Fox, The Celebrity "I'm thinking of a number..."
Ced Posted February 28, 2004 Report Posted February 28, 2004 I'm wondering where Celebrity American Idol will fall on the future FOX lineup. Milking a franchise and ratings ploy all in one. You know this will happen in some way, shape or form. Â Other future ideas from the FOX braintrust include Celebrity Competitive Eating, Celebrity Mixed Martial Arts topped off by Celebrity BATTLE ROYALE: We Need a Ratings Boost and These Second String Celebs Won't Leave Us Alone...OK Everybody Wins!
Matt Young Posted February 28, 2004 Report Posted February 28, 2004 I figured it would suck ass, but I ended up watching it when it came on after The Simpsons, solely because I mark for Alice Cooper, Sherman Hemsley, and my older, shorter, more famous twin, David Faustino. Sadly, they were amongst the first eliminated. Â I ended up watching the whole thing because I got hooked on beating the actual contestants just like I attempt to do (and usually succeed at) while watching Wheel of Fortune and Jeopardy. I couldn't believe how stupid some of those people were. I spelled at least 90% of the words correctly and could have done so years ago when I was running off a streak of winning 5 straight Christian Elementary School Spelling Bees (every year of eligibility). Â </touting spelling skills that far exceed the celebrities on the show> Â Regardless, it was fun to watch and play along.
Youth N Asia Posted February 28, 2004 Report Posted February 28, 2004 I watched about 30 seconds of it. It's just bad TV. Who won anyway?
The Electrifyer Posted February 28, 2004 Report Posted February 28, 2004 Brett Butler (not sure of the name exactly) from Grace Under Fire won. Does anyone know if that Vanessa girl was the same Vanessa from the final season of Popular Mechanics for Kids in Canada? Â What I found funny of this show was Samir's cocky attitude. Him telling Brett that she spelt the final word wrong was great.
Mecha Mummy Posted February 28, 2004 Report Posted February 28, 2004 I saw clips of it on Best Week Ever last night. "Turcoque"?

Does anyone know if that Vanessa girl was the same Vanessa from the final season of Popular Mechanics for Kids in Canada?. Do you mean that girl who's now on 24?
The Electrifyer Posted February 28, 2004 Report Posted February 28, 2004 No, that's Elisha Cuthbert. The Vanessa girl I'm talking about is on American Dreams or something. I remember seeing a girl named Vanessa that looked just like her on PMK with Elisha and Tyler.
MooreMark Posted February 28, 2004 Report Posted February 28, 2004 No, that's Elisha Cuthbert. The Vanessa girl I'm talking about is on American Dreams or something. I remember seeing a girl named Vanessa that looked just like her on PMK with Elisha and Tyler. Ya, that's her I believe. She was on Radio-Active too.
The Electrifyer Posted February 28, 2004 Report Posted February 28, 2004 Wow... I thought she would have been smarter than that.
