treble Posted February 29, 2004 Report Posted February 29, 2004 Because I've heard that 'Blinded By The Light' song on the radio about 100 times in the past few weeks, but before that I had only caught it maybe twice.

The Czech Republic Posted March 1, 2004 Report Posted March 1, 2004 Was Blinded by the Light done by Manfred Mann, or Manfred Mann's Earth Band? I want to say it was the Earth Band. I know Springsteen wrote it though It gets a lot of play in Chicago on 97.9 The Loop, by the way
SamoaRowe Posted March 2, 2004 Report Posted March 2, 2004 jesus. Just as I opened this thread it came on my radio. that's fucked. Stupid Rock 101. what station do you have it on Tim? The Amazing Rando Posted March 2, 2004 Report Posted March 2, 2004 it's Manfred Mann & The Earth Band ... I believe.
snuffbox Posted March 2, 2004 Report Posted March 2, 2004 The same group from the 60's? Yes. Also had a hit covering Bob Dylan's 'Mighty Quinn'.
cue_meanie Posted March 3, 2004 Report Posted March 3, 2004 According to the Blow soundtrack...where I first fell in love with the song, Its just Manfred Mann, no Earth band. And in Ontario at least around T.O, Edge 102 is definatly the best station, gotta love Alan Cross and the Modern History of New Rock.
Guest The Winter Of My Discontent Posted March 3, 2004 Report Posted March 3, 2004 it's Manfred Mann & The Earth Band ... I believe. Correct!

As much as I hate the radio, if I had to pick a station that I like, it would be 91.1 (Toronto obviously). Great jazz music by people I've never heard of and will never hear of again? AWESOME!
Guest Anglesault Posted March 4, 2004 Report Posted March 4, 2004 It's been playing a couple of times a day down here for a while. It's really strange.
Guest Anglesault Posted March 4, 2004 Report Posted March 4, 2004 (edited) Was Blinded by the Light done by Manfred Mann, or Manfred Mann's Earth Band? I want to say it was the Earth Band. I know Springsteen wrote it though And Bruce's version is actually a little clearer, as far as pronunciation is concerned. Edited March 4, 2004 by Anglesault

"wrapped up like a douche another rumor in the night" "and little early birdie made my anus curly-wurly"
treble Posted March 9, 2004 Author Report Posted March 9, 2004 I just turned on the radio a few minutes ago to catch the last 5 seconds of it. Something must have gone down.
alfdogg Posted March 18, 2004 Report Posted March 18, 2004 When I first got on at Meijer, that song "Intuition" by Jewel played LITERALLY every night for like the first two months I worked there.
Guest Agent of Oblivion Posted March 20, 2004 Report Posted March 20, 2004 On a clear night, I can hear Uncle Kracker's cover of "Drift Away" three times in one work shift. Talk about overplayed.

I'll take my 97.7 HITZ FM from St. Catharines anytime of the week than 102 The Edge or 103 The Edge.
