Spaceman Spiff Posted March 3, 2004 Report Posted March 3, 2004 Quick question: When Raw airs on the W. Coast, does it appear they "sweeten" the crowd noise at all?
Kurt Angle Mark Posted March 3, 2004 Report Posted March 3, 2004 I doubt it If the don't have time to edit Jackie's nipple slip, I doubt they would do anything to sweeten the crowd.
OldSchoolWrestling Posted March 3, 2004 Report Posted March 3, 2004 I don't think so. I usually like to listen for the reactions of the crowd and more often then not think to myself that its a dead crowd. Of course now that I have DirecTV I get to watch Raw at 6PM so I get it live with the East Coast crowd.

I expect the results on my desk in the morning.
OldSchoolWrestling Posted March 3, 2004 Report Posted March 3, 2004 But since I switched from cable to DirecTv I no longer get the West Coast show.
Eclipse Posted March 3, 2004 Report Posted March 3, 2004 So the West Coast never gets RAW live? I thought RAW was live across the country....or maybe the 3 hour difference causes that...
USC Wuz Robbed! Posted March 3, 2004 Report Posted March 3, 2004 No Raw is never live on the West Coast. We start watching Raw at 9 pm Pacific coast time. Although I've heard different for the Northern California crowd. (Im in southernmost California.)
OldSchoolWrestling Posted March 3, 2004 Report Posted March 3, 2004 F A+ I already said I had been monitoring it previously and I can tell when crowds suck.
Guest KJ Brackish Posted March 3, 2004 Report Posted March 3, 2004 I have DirecTV and we get our regular time that it comes on here in Utah. At 7:00 PM MST or 6:00 PM PST. That is when Raw starts for us. I've never heard of an east coast TNN and west coast TNN, and I worked for DirecTV. DFA
Lightning Flik Posted March 3, 2004 Report Posted March 3, 2004 Considering I get RAW live (some minute delay) via TSN, they don't doctorine the crowd at all. If they are dead, they are dead.
Scroby Posted March 3, 2004 Report Posted March 3, 2004 Nope never live here....aww I remember when Nitro used to come on at 5 and end around 8. Giving us West Coast people time to do something in that free hour before Nitro came back on and Raw was just tuning up. No the only time Raw is really live here on the West Side is when you attend a Raw live. Otherwise it just a taped version on the west coast.
NoCalMike Posted March 3, 2004 Report Posted March 3, 2004 I have D!sh therefore I get the live east coast feed.
Highland Posted March 3, 2004 Report Posted March 3, 2004 Considering I get RAW live (some minute delay) via TSN, they don't doctorine the crowd at all. If they are dead, they are dead. No, we just get the annoying pan the crowd shot whenever something interesting happens.
Markme123 Posted March 3, 2004 Report Posted March 3, 2004 With cable we get Raw at 9pm (3 hours after the east coast Canada feed) With the satallite we get it at the same time as everyone else (6pm west coast). My dish, like a lot of people, gets the eastcoast feed for numerous channels like Nick, E!, Spike, Comedy Central, ect.
OldSchoolWrestling Posted March 3, 2004 Report Posted March 3, 2004 Which also means us West Coast dish subscribers get to watch The Sopranos at 6pm and The Shield at 7pm. Life is good.

Star Ocean 3 Posted March 3, 2004 Report Posted March 3, 2004 And it's still impossible to watch Heat if you order a PPV.
OldSchoolWrestling Posted March 3, 2004 Report Posted March 3, 2004 And it's still impossible to watch Heat if you order a PPV. Once again, except for us dish subscribers who watch it live at 4pm.
Matt Young Posted March 4, 2004 Report Posted March 4, 2004 Hmmm... I figured that the shows that are on cable were simulcast nationwide. I have DirecTV, and I get Raw at 6 PM, Velocity at 7 PM, and Heat at 4 PM, all Pacific time of course. Sadly, Smackdown, being that it's on a non-cable channel, comes on at 8 PM PST, starting an hour after it has already ended everywhere else.
