Enigma Posted March 12, 2004 Report Posted March 12, 2004 "Mike (Johnson) also reported to me that he heard there was some kind altercation over the past few days between Steve Austin and Billy Gunn at the Manhattan hotel where the wrestlers are staying. It took place in the hotel bar according to Mike." credit: Dave Scherer/PWInsider Anyone wanna bet Gunn made an offhand comment to a drunk Austin about refusing to work with him in '99?
Guest nikowwf Posted March 12, 2004 Report Posted March 12, 2004 I think assaulting Billy Gunn should be allowed, if not encouraged. Anything to ensure he remains nothing but a bad memory. niko
Guest Mulatto Heat Posted March 12, 2004 Report Posted March 12, 2004 This just gets funnier and funnier.

Frankie Williams Posted March 12, 2004 Report Posted March 12, 2004 Why is Billy Gunn even in New York?
TheFranchise Posted March 12, 2004 Report Posted March 12, 2004 Why is Billy Gunn even in New York? Yeah, didn't they close The World? He's not needed now on Sunday!
USC Wuz Robbed! Posted March 12, 2004 Report Posted March 12, 2004 I am sure the wrestlers are required to go to Mania, regardless if they're booked on the show, after all, I am sure Vince will feel disrespected if his workers decide not to go to his biggest event of two decades (so says them)
AndrewTS Posted March 12, 2004 Report Posted March 12, 2004 I think this makes it all the more obvious that these are a bunch of WWE hoaxes. Because they've even overbooked THAT.
2GOLD Posted March 12, 2004 Report Posted March 12, 2004 I am sure the wrestlers are required to go to Mania, regardless if they're booked on the show, after all, I am sure Vince will feel disrespected if his workers decide not to go to his biggest event of two decades (so says them) Bingo! Wrestlers are required to be there even if not involved to show the company is a solid unit. Total bs, especially this year but still. I wonder how morale will be if they announce HHH will be on both shows and he shows up on Smackdown and pedigrees Eddie. Bet that will make everyone feel great. This company really is one more bad move from a meltdown. Hard to believe they really HAVE gotten to this point.
Mecha Mummy Posted March 12, 2004 Report Posted March 12, 2004 Work or not, backstage WWE over the past couple days has been incredibly entertaining.
AndrewTS Posted March 12, 2004 Report Posted March 12, 2004 "This company really is one more bad move from a meltdown. Hard to believe they really HAVE gotten to this point." They're still financially secure, though. However, in terms of WCW I think we're about at late 1998 in comparison to current WWE.
Guest THE MIGHTY THOR Posted March 12, 2004 Report Posted March 12, 2004 Work or not, backstage WWE over the past couple days has been incredibly entertaining. Now this should be Wrestlemania the movie.
Guest Choken One Posted March 12, 2004 Report Posted March 12, 2004 Alteraction doesn't mean fight neccesaryily...9/10 times in Wrestling it's two drunks argueing about silly shit.
Guest Man Of 1,004 Modes Posted March 12, 2004 Report Posted March 12, 2004 Alteraction doesn't mean fight neccesaryily...9/10 times in Wrestling it's two drunks argueing about silly shit. Maybe Billy Gunn admited sleeping with Austins wife one night when she was in the bathroom.
Silence Posted March 12, 2004 Report Posted March 12, 2004 Yeah, didn't they close The World? He's not needed now on Sunday! Surely there's another restaurant that can serve Billy Gunn meatball sandwiches every Sunday during a WWE PPV.
1234-5678 Posted March 12, 2004 Report Posted March 12, 2004 Gunn > Austin Too funny to even argue. I second that motion.
Tawren Posted March 13, 2004 Report Posted March 13, 2004 Gunn > Austin Too funny to even argue. I mean in terms of how much I hate them. I hate Austin far far more than Gunn.
Adam Posted March 13, 2004 Report Posted March 13, 2004 That's insane. I don't even really hate Austin that much. I DESPISE Gunn.
Cran Da Maniac Posted March 13, 2004 Report Posted March 13, 2004 Work or not, backstage WWE over the past couple days has been incredibly entertaining. Yeah, Hell just cancel HeAt, make it into a WWE reality show or something, and I'd watch this kind of shit!
Guest Choken One Posted March 13, 2004 Report Posted March 13, 2004 They need to hire the people that did Wrestling with Shadows...Shit seems to happen when they show up.
bobobrazil1984 Posted March 13, 2004 Report Posted March 13, 2004 Work or not, backstage WWE over the past couple days has been incredibly entertaining. Tell me about it. I haven't bothered watching the last four shows (2 raw and 2 SD), but the news still entertains the fuck out of me
Guest I Got Banned for Sucking Posted March 13, 2004 Report Posted March 13, 2004 Last time I checked, the only half-important thing that Billy Gunn was doing was attempting to keep the U.S. Championship Division fresh. Oh, hang on... It looked like he was being pushed by giving Brock Lesnar a run for his money (obviously kayfabe-wise), while making Brock look strong, as if it's needed. It's not as if it'd take much to get that drunk cripple wife-beater Austin riled-up.
