Youth N Asia Posted March 18, 2004 Report Posted March 18, 2004 I was a big fan of the team for the first year or so...but after that they just wore thin on me. But Bradshaw is completly useless without Ron. "DAMN!"
ChrisMWaters Posted March 18, 2004 Report Posted March 18, 2004 What does this all mean, if they offer you a raod agent gig, you're gonna be fired. It happened to Harely Race too. And Bret Hart.
Guest M. Harry Smilac Posted March 18, 2004 Report Posted March 18, 2004 Damn and on that TV show they were on before WM Bradshaw was actually honest and said him and Ron are too old to wrestle in anything but a tag team. I'm sure they'll just stick orlando jordan in his place
MarvinisaLunatic Posted March 18, 2004 Report Posted March 18, 2004 I want Bradshaw to come back like a new evolution of the IRS Character or something. From what I saw and where I think its going, you aren't too far off.
Youth N Asia Posted March 18, 2004 Report Posted March 18, 2004 I'm sure they'll just stick orlando jordan in his place Hey man, some things we just don't joke about. Although I would find it funny if they did that and played it off like nothing happened.
Guest Jimbo Posted March 18, 2004 Report Posted March 18, 2004 Bradshaw is SO in-line for a World Title push.
buffybeast Posted March 18, 2004 Report Posted March 18, 2004 I had the opportunity to "get to know" Ron better back in 98. I wish I had. He was a decent guy and fun wrestler. He's not my favorite wrestler but I am sorry to see him go.
Guest Choken One Posted March 18, 2004 Report Posted March 18, 2004 "get to know"... I don't even want to ask.
Lord of The Curry Posted March 18, 2004 Report Posted March 18, 2004 I do. So did you fuck him or what?
The Czech Republic Posted March 18, 2004 Report Posted March 18, 2004 I want Bradshaw to come back like a new evolution of the IRS Character or something. "You'd better pay your taxes...or I'll rape you."
buffybeast Posted March 18, 2004 Report Posted March 18, 2004 I do. So did you fuck him or what? I met Farooq outside the wrestlers' entrance at a show in Atlantic Cnity in 1998. He got my friend and I into a meet and greet/dinner after the show at the Tropicana Hotel. He was super cool and he invited me to come to his room. I was in a relationship and stupid so I declined his offer. My friend and I didn't have a room and he got us one anyway. He's a nice guy. I wish I had slept with him, just to say that I've slept with a wrestler. That opportunity probably won't ever happen again.

Scroby Posted March 19, 2004 Report Posted March 19, 2004 Well this sucks. I always liked Ron since he was in Doom in WCW. Now were short one less tag team in the WWE, not saying they were good or anything but still it hurts the tag divison.
buffybeast Posted March 19, 2004 Report Posted March 19, 2004 Not to attack you, but didn't you say this same thing about Vader? I met Vader at the Slammy Awards in March of 1997. I met Farooq in Atlantic City in summer 98. Two different incidents.
Guest JMA Posted March 19, 2004 Report Posted March 19, 2004 Well, it's not like creative was really doing anything with him. Being Bradshaw's sidekick is a rough gig. Unlike Bradshaw, Simmons actually used to be talented. He could be an excellent trainer, road agent, or manager. Still, at least this means we'll see less of Bradshaw now (provided they don't push him as a singles star).

Styles Posted March 19, 2004 Report Posted March 19, 2004 Sorry to not join the pity party, but I'm not too upset over this. I mean, yeah, personally he probably should have been given the backstage role he wanted, but who knows what issues led to this (well we'll know by next week's issue of Dave Meltzer's Wrestling Observer (thumbs up, cheap pop!) But anyway, bottom line he was hideous in the ring and I'm glad I don't have to sit through any boring Smackdown matches with him anymore. Now get rid of Rikishi and we'll be cooking...
Guest Choken One Posted March 19, 2004 Report Posted March 19, 2004 Nah... Gunn Holly Bradshaw should go before Rikishi...Rikishi is still over and can occasional bust a good match out but he's in that Luger terriortory right now "Why be good when your position with the company wont change"

Farooq was pretty inoffensive in the ring. Kinda boring, but at least he had a lot of power moves to compensate for his lack of technical skills.
The Mandarin Posted March 19, 2004 Report Posted March 19, 2004 Not to attack you, but didn't you say this same thing about Vader? God, I hope she wasn't offered to have sex with VADER, too. *shudders*
Guest Vitamin X Posted March 19, 2004 Report Posted March 19, 2004 Rikishi, and Albert. Once they go, then the smarks can stop bitching when they fire someone talented.
Guest wrestlingbs Posted March 19, 2004 Report Posted March 19, 2004 Farooq should be grateful. He worked there for many years, even after he became too injured to compete. And he got a WM payoff. I'd say he left on a good note.
Guest Anglesault Posted March 19, 2004 Report Posted March 19, 2004 They dump Ron and keep the Bashams. I just don't get it.
Guest Anglesault Posted March 19, 2004 Report Posted March 19, 2004 They could have kept him as Bradshaw's manager. He's still more over than both Bashams combined, and if they need him to, he works a much smarter match than bothof them. His matches are usually bad, but not really boring. The Bashams do nothing BUT boring. You trim the total deadweight before you get rid of people with some value.
Guest The Winter Of My Discontent Posted March 19, 2004 Report Posted March 19, 2004 Farooq shoulda been kept around with Teddy Long. Kinda like a bodyguard...sometimes wrestler. He would've added a lot of credibility to Rodney Mack's down with the white man cause,
Guest Choken One Posted March 19, 2004 Report Posted March 19, 2004 so does that mean Billy Gunn is next?
