Slickster Posted March 21, 2004 Report Posted March 21, 2004 Coming in Mid-May, WWE Classic Superstars Series 2! Ric Flair (w/Big Gold) Mankind (w/WWF World Tag Team Title) George "The Animal" Steele (w/Mine, not pictured) Big John Studd (w/WWF World Tag Team Title) Sergeant Slaughter (w/WWF World Heavyweight Title)
Papacita Posted March 21, 2004 Report Posted March 21, 2004 I like the Flair one. I'd definitely pick that one up.
Guest NitroJMS Posted March 21, 2004 Report Posted March 21, 2004 Saw this alternate version of Slaughter over at Wrestlingfigs.com. Too bad you gotta buy Orton to get Slaughter in his traditional outfit.
Guest Askewniverse Posted March 21, 2004 Report Posted March 21, 2004 I don't normally buy action figures, but I'll make an exception in this case. The Flair figure will look nice next to the Flair DVD.
The Mandarin Posted March 21, 2004 Report Posted March 21, 2004 Series one is great too. Warrior and Bret are awesome.
Guest I Got Banned for Sucking Posted March 21, 2004 Report Posted March 21, 2004 Out at Woolworths in the toy section, they have Draft figures, including Kurt Angle, Tajiri, Albert and others that I can't remember. These new figurines look quite attractive - I think that I'll purchase.
Zack Malibu Posted March 21, 2004 Report Posted March 21, 2004 Series 3 will be out in summertime as well. It's rumored to be DiBiase, Snuka, Mr. Perfect, Jake Roberts, a new Bret, and a new Warrior.
EdwardKnoxII Posted March 21, 2004 Report Posted March 21, 2004 That Flair one looks great but, is it me or when you look at the face of the figure doesn't Flair look like a young Owen Wilson for some reason.
DerangedHermit Posted March 21, 2004 Report Posted March 21, 2004 Also, Dude Love: Holy shit, that looks exactly like Foley.
Only The Strong Survive Posted March 21, 2004 Report Posted March 21, 2004 Interesting choice of belts on those figures...
Guest Astro Posted March 21, 2004 Report Posted March 21, 2004 Its too bad Sarge, and Steele were never cut like the pictures depict... I demand more bloated toys!
Guest Astro Posted March 21, 2004 Report Posted March 21, 2004 Studd was Tag Champ with Killer Kowolski in 1976 (Executioners)
Guest Anglesault Posted March 21, 2004 Report Posted March 21, 2004 I wanna buy tag team champions Mankind and Big John Studd. They had quite a run together
SamoaRowe Posted March 21, 2004 Report Posted March 21, 2004 I haven't even seen Series 1 anywhere outside of this folder. I want Bret
Guest Choken One Posted March 21, 2004 Report Posted March 21, 2004 Also, Dude Love: Holy shit, that looks exactly like Foley. foley wishes he was cut like that...
Guest Trivia247 Posted March 21, 2004 Report Posted March 21, 2004 those are suppose to be classic? I thought you mean't the THICk rubber figures of the old days... I had Hogan, Andre, JYD, Macho man, Iron Sheik Volkoff, George Steele.. Jake the Snake, Rick Rude Not to mention the Thumb wrestlers
Tony149 Posted March 21, 2004 Report Posted March 21, 2004 About the Sgt. Slaughter figure...is that supposed to be Iraqi Sarge? IIRC when he beat the Warrior for the title at the Royal Rumble the belt was blue. So... The Flair figure looks cool.
LivingLegendGaryColeman Posted March 21, 2004 Report Posted March 21, 2004 I went to a couple Toys R Us while I was on vacation last week and the main classic figure I kept seeing was Classic HHH. One store had one Andre. I was only going to see if I can find the McFarlene NBA Carmelo Anthony because one of my buddies is really into those, so I try to pick up a couple of the rare ones now. I used to be heavy into collecting the WWE toys, and when I looked at a website about these classic ones, some of the news says the Dude Love is going to be a chase figure, which are the ones in extremely limited quality, so they will be harder to come across. I guess probably because Dude is the least likely to sell, who knows.
Steve J. Rogers Posted March 21, 2004 Report Posted March 21, 2004 Studd was Tag Champ with Killer Kowolski in 1976 (Executioners) Weren't they masked though and like Doom not given names?

I picked up Bret and Andre at Toys R Us Times Square on the Friday before Wrestlemania. They also had classic Taker and HHH. When I went back on Wrestlemania Sunday, all they had left was walls of classic HHH to the groans of many shoppers.
Guest Man Of 1,004 Modes Posted March 22, 2004 Report Posted March 22, 2004 Wouldn't this thread be better off in Video Games & TOYS folder?
Guest I Got Banned for Sucking Posted March 22, 2004 Report Posted March 22, 2004 BBCW, even though your constant bickering in regards to which thread should go in which forum piss me off, I'll agree with you. I wonder when Australia will get these toys? Boy, talk about M-A-R-K O-U-T for Rove...

I wonder when Australia will get these toys? Boy, talk about M-A-R-K O-U-T for Rove... So it's annoying when I say a thread about TNA is in WWE, or when posting a wrestler died that isn't employed by WWE should go to General Wrestling? I guess trying to help organize the board a little is a crime. ::extends arms: Someone get the cuffs.
Ced Posted March 22, 2004 Report Posted March 22, 2004 Saw this alternate version of Slaughter over at Wrestlingfigs.com. Too bad you gotta buy Orton to get Slaughter in his traditional outfit. Oh, dear God, no...Do I spy the Wheel of Bad Gimmick Matches in that set?

Guest Jay Z. Hollywood Posted March 22, 2004 Report Posted March 22, 2004 Is Toys R Us the only place besides the web where you can find these? I went to KB Toys and they only had the old, way outdated figures. And Amazon is no better, they're a couple sets behind. I ended up getting the Ultimo Series 8 figure from Zack's store. -That said man, put aside a Dude and a Bret fig for me!
