Spaceman Spiff 0 Report post Posted March 23, 2004 HHH and Taker on the same show (barring any upcoming trades)? Looks like SD lockerroom morale just got jobbed out. And I assume (barring any trades) that HHH will take over Lesnar's spot on SD. Does that mean that Taker & HHH will feud now ::snicker:: ?
haVoc 0 Report post Posted March 23, 2004 Just so I get this right, the lottery/trade isn't complete yet and there will be a new GM named tonight at SD who will announe the final trades between the brands? Does that means guys who were "drafted" last night could be traded back? Anything else I'm missing?
cawthon777 0 Report post Posted March 23, 2004 Does that means guys who were "drafted" last night could be traded back? If that happened, it would make what happened last night mean nothing. I'm not jaded enough to think they would pull that.

Guest Besus Report post Posted March 23, 2004 Do we also get to see Randy Orton... "The Man With No Heat" or "The -ty Man"? "The Man With Heat" is what I think. Orton is OVER,the days of Orton coming out to no reaction is no more so SHUT THE HELL UP about Orton having no heat. Orton got heat every Monday in Feb minus 1st and every Monday this month minus last night cause he wasn't their. Why are some of the haters still saying Orton has no heat? When will the Orton is heatless posts end? Got answers?
cawthon777 0 Report post Posted March 23, 2004 I'm lukewarm to Orton but even I'll admit he's over. You can thank Foley for that.
Downhome 0 Report post Posted March 23, 2004 So...ummm... The really big news is that now Akio and Sakoda need a new leader. Go Ultimo!!! I could see Tajiri and Gail Kim joining together on RAW once she comes back. I didn't have a problem with the draft at all. I sat back, watched the show, and I enjoyed it all the way through. I also look at it totally different than most of you. While some of you say this didn't accomplish anything, I totally disagree. Even with the minor changes that we have seen already, it will change the feel and the way both shows lay out for quite a while. Add the trades that we'll no doubt see by Smackdown, and it's going to change things up enough for all of this to be worthwhile. Not to mention, as has been talked about already over and over, the likely return of ECW in one form or another. WWE didn't need a total change in every single aspect. They just needed something to be done to create the possibility of new feuds/matches, and a chance for even more new young guys and new stars to get a better shot. And, well, they accomplished just that, exactly what Vince said he wanted to do. While I'm at it, I loved the little "tease" of HHH/Eddie. Something felt really different about HHH in that match. Maybe it was the fact that he didn't cut a promo or anything the entire show, or whatever, but I was really into him, Eddie, and the match as a whole. If HHH stays on SD, which I think he will without a doubt, then I'm really looking forward to a more long term feud between these two guys. Then on RAW I'm really looking forward to a straight up one on one feud between HBK/Benoit. I've wanted that for years, so I'm happy about that. As for Evolution, nothing really changed. For the past few weeks Evolution has been more about Flair/Batista/Orton than anything else. You always saw those three together, but HHH was only with them during his matches, when he needed them. He almost never came out to help those three beat up Foley/Rock, etc... HHH will be just fine on his own on SD (ok, so Steph will more than likely get with him in some way or another), and the others will be ok on RAW. I'm perfectly content right now when it comes to WWE. I haven't felt this good about the current product, and the future of the company, in years.

Zack Malibu 0 Report post Posted March 23, 2004 I'm just left to wonder what's going on with the tag team division. They took one of the good 2/3 of La Resistance away (as I had expected, since it's known that WWE is high on Dupree), leaving Conway to have to pick up the slack for Grenier. They split probably the most "established" team other than The Dudley Boyz by splitting WGTT. Then they broke up their "blue chippers" by sticking Jindrak on Smackdown. In a perfect world, Jindrak will wind up with O'Haire, but that's still only one new tag team after splitting up three. How on earth can they expect to keep interest in 2 seperate tag divisions going when they barely have enough teams for one? I'm sick of Dudleys vs. Flair/Batista vs. La Resistance feuds, we've got no Booker/RVD or Jindrak/Cade, and Hurricane/Rosey are nothing more than jobbers with gimmicks these days. On the Smackdown end, you've got no more APA or WGTT, Leaving Rikishi/Scotty and The Bashams, along with the FBI or Akio/Sakoda, neither of which have had much major going for them in some time. Is there anyone they can stick together/trade/etc. to actually breathe some life into the division? The only thing I can think of is due to Kurt's neck and their concerns that he and Haas join up as Team Angle v2.0 to lessen his workload, until down the line Haas turns on his mentor and feuds with him. Guest Brian Report post Posted March 23, 2004 I agree with Goodear. They did fine. They solved the problem of having HHH involved in HBK/Benoit on RAW. They introduced Edge as a big player. They split Evolution, which gives Orton a chance to rise up as a major player. Shelton, and to a lesser extent Haas, will have opportunities to shine in singles. If they get the right GM, they can definately put together a more competitive feel between the shows and use Heyman to build the Saturday Night Show. I think Dupree is better off on his own, especially if he gets a chance with a new gimmick. SmackDown picked up two extra wrestlers in the process.
Highland 0 Report post Posted March 23, 2004 Here is what I think will happen as one of the trades. Kane threatened the GM's that he better not end up on the same brand as Taker. I think that Shane will be the new GM of SMackdown and won't care about the threat, and will do it as revenge on Kane. That gives Taker a feud, plays up Shane's past with Kane, and Bischoff will actually be glad to get rid of Kane and maybe get a few younger guys as compensation. Ugh. I don't want him as GM, because you just know we'll see the American badass, Shane O'Mac, come down to the ring and really kill yet another career (see Kane). Seriously, if it's a choice between Stephanie and Shane, I'd rather Stephanie: She annoys the fuck out of me, but at least she doesn't pretend to be a wrestler. Zack Malibu 0 Report post Posted March 23, 2004 I could see them trading Kane for Big Show, or if the rumor on 411 turns out to be true, A-Train.
Guest Brian Report post Posted March 23, 2004 I want Austin. He's already in an authority position, and it sets up a good brand rivalry. It's a safe, easy play.
Zack Malibu 0 Report post Posted March 23, 2004 Austin will stay on RAW. Undertaker and Trips are enough for a veteran base on Smackdown. Also, anyone else expecting Maven and Nidia to hook up in storylines?
Dandy 0 Report post Posted March 23, 2004 Had no problem with the draft. However for this draft to mean anything Edge and Benjamin have to receive really big pushes. For some reason I believe that HHH will be back on Raw, because his feud with HBK is still going on, and they gave us HHH/Eddie for no reason tonight thus hinting that HHH won't stay. I can see a Booker T for HHH trade happening. I don't think HHH will be heading back to Raw at all. The thing with HBK saying it wasn't over between him led to him costing HHH the WWE Title last night. Also, it's a good bet that Michaels is turning heel. They will be in Canada, where Shawn is nowhere near a face, where he faces Benoit in his hometown. HHH will be happy to be on Smackdown and go after that title for awhile. haVoc 0 Report post Posted March 23, 2004 I blame the Internet for saying Triple H's title isn't the real championship. When Triple H pins Eddie he will also be giving the Net' one big F-U.
thuganomics 0 Report post Posted March 23, 2004 I'm just happy to see that the story will continue with trades tonight on Smackdown. Makes me feel that Smackdown isn't being treated like quite the bitch the lottery setup made it.
Zack Malibu 0 Report post Posted March 23, 2004 More news on trades and such: - It appears that Rico and Miss Jackie will both be moved to Smackdown. This move is expected to be announced sometime today. - A-Train is expected to be moved to RAW as the WWE.com situation hinted at. - At this point, Stephanie McMahon is not expected to return tonight at the Smackdown taping as the new General Manager. King Cucaracha 0 Report post Posted March 23, 2004 Cruiserweight division for Rico sounds good for me. It'll give him something to do...plus this way we're less likely to see Jackie 'wrestle'.

Dandy 0 Report post Posted March 23, 2004 I'd like to see Rikishi go to Raw and Hurricane go to Smackdown. They don't have to be in the same trade, but they should both switch. Have Rikishi team up with Rosey who is no longer a SHIT, and have Helms drop the Hurricane gimmick and team up with Moore.
haVoc 0 Report post Posted March 23, 2004 They completely ruined Rico. They should have kept him as a flamboyant manager who wrestles once in a while. He could have been this era's second rate Jimmy Hart.

Shane vs. Bisch vs. Paul *might* be okay... MIGHT. But will Paul say that ECW is a new COMPANY or a new BRAND. If he says it's a new brand, well then logic goes out the window. If he says its a new company, then DAMN did they get TV time quick...and then it'll be tough to give them PPV time. If they give them any at all.

But, hey, you stick to your beliefs and have a jolly old time bashing Randy Orton. Hey, while you're at it, I think Mark Henry is strong. Care to make a snide comment on that?
