The Metal Maniac 0 Report post Posted March 24, 2004 You know the ones I mean. They've got the band, on a stage, in front of a crowd - but it's not live. It's just them synching up to the song that's already on the album. Does that bug anyone else? I hate it. It comes across as awfully lazy, and it's usually pretty obvious when it isn't live. I'd much perfer that the video either have them actually playing live, or just be the band in front of anything else. I just don't like the cop-out feel to the things. Anyone else feel this way? 5_moves_of_doom 0 Report post Posted March 24, 2004 I've got a video of the Clash doing "I Fought the Law"... and I always LOVED the video. It's quite phenominal. But then a friend informed me that it was just a promo video or something. I think it was in their movie, but I don't think they lip-synched. She has that video where she steals the guys shirt and takes pictures of people wearing it...you know...to mock him I guess. Anyway...I'm watching MTV and the song comes on....but with clips of her singing it live (or you know...lypsincing it in front of an audience). Paul Stanley 0 Report post Posted March 24, 2004 On my Judas Priest DVD they play at 'Top Of The Pops' and im all syched up because it's a live Living After Midnight(again) and then i hear it, and its the LP track, lip synching with guitars and all. I'm guessing all those voice enhancers and producers can't alter her live performances like if she were in the studio. I saw her Live @ MuchMusic and oh boy did she suck at those performances. Look at some of the first music videos, they cost nothing, but were more interesting than crowd shots. Just have some half naked girls dancing, they're cheap.
