A friend let me borrow his comedy album, and it's pretty good...

He's got a really weird delivery. It's not the normal type like some comedians set up a big joke, adding smaller ones a long the way until leading up to the climax of a story or commentary or something. There really is no flow, just non-stop one liners and punch lines. Fortunately, it works for him though because he's pretty damn clever.

Anywho, like? dislike? never heard of him?

as you about to discover, this board is highly pro-Mitch.

and yes, he rules. And yes, it's a good thing he's so funny because otherwise his weirdo performances would be at like Carrot Top level.

I gave this guy a script I wrote, but he said it needs a rewrite. So I said "Fuck that, I'll just make a copy!"

Yeah, he is a funny mofo. Mitch Hedberg, Larry the Cable Guy and Stephen Lynch are three of my non-mainstream favorites.

I've only seen Mitch once or twice (and it was on Conan), but I thought he was great. Does he have a DVD or anything? :)

I have seen him on Comedy Central a few times and indifferent to the guy until I can see a full stand up routine or album.

If I had a choice I would probably go another direction such as the comedians who think they are muscians like the SNL guy who is currently using the gimmick of T-Bone and the Naked Trucker or Rich Hall redneck gimmick.

There's a DVD that comes packed in with his CD. All it is is his Comedy Central Presenents, then an extended version of that plus a 5 minute Premium Blend things. It's free with the CD though, so it's pretty good.

I love him, I saw him on that tour with Lewis Black and Dave Attell and I thought he was by far the funniest, at least that night.

T-Bone is Rich Hall, he used to do Sniglets too.

Ron White is hysterical. More people need to drink and smoke on t.v. adn not give a fuck.

Add me to the Mitch Hedberg love fest. If you notice, when anyone tries to quote Mitch they slip into his delivery without even thinking about it.

I've loved the guy since he first popped up on TV a few years back. The CD/DVD combo is definitely worth it, considering it's around $13 at most places. His Comedy Central Presents special is great and I'd wish they'd start putting those out on DVD, because I'd surely buy 'em in a heartbeat.

Hedberg's style is unique, but not so much that he comes off annoying. It only works because he's geniunely funny. Someone who wasn't and using that same delivery would be panned by most.

Lynch is great, too. Fun fact: Lynch was raised in my hometown. His father's a priest and my aunt has an old church directory from the 80s with a picture of the Lynch family in it (which includes a teenage Stephen Lynch). So yeah, it's cool to see he made it and a bit ironic that he comes from a religious family, his comedy material considered and all.

Rich Hall wears western shirts, bandanas and plays keyboard, T-Bone has a comeover and wears wife beater shirts.

If Mitch is on Home Movies then he must be good right but as for his stand up well I am still unsure about that.

Mitch is hilarious. He's a prime example of the great comedic principle. "Delivery is more important than content."

The "This shirt is dry clean only. That means it's dirty" one? I think it just means that he's too cheap to get it dry cleaned, so it's dirty.

Didn't he play the guy who runs The Hub on that one episode of That 70's Show?

see: Kinnison, Sam.

Kinnison wasn't religious, he was a crazy cokehead.

I think he is hilarious. His comedy central presents is prob my fav of all of them. I quote him alot too.

"On the back of the Ritz box, it has suggestions of what to do with the ritz, have a ritz with ham and cheese, ritz with peanut butter, oh come on man, I bought them cuz I like Crackers, not cuz they are little edibile plates"

"Most rock bands have scary or dark names, like rigor mortis or mortuary or obituary, we weren't that hard so we called our selves-Injured. Later we changed it to "Acapella" (Pause) as we were walking out of the pawn shop"

"I put a potato in the oven when I go on vacation"

"I give you the money, you give me the donut, end of transaction, we do not need to bring ink and paper into this. I cannot envision the situation when I would have to prove I bought the donut, a skeptical friend? 'Oh come on man I know you didn't buy that donut' Oh yea ? I got the documentation right here"

too many quotes from that ep alone to remember

and the delivery is what makes it

here comes that frog lol
