Best Chapelle's Show skits

Since last night's episode was filled with misses that they didn't go with, I figured it would be good to relive some of the best sketches of the show. List your favorites. Here are some of mine.

 

Blind White Supremacist: One of the most ingenius sketches I have ever seen on a show. It was clever, edgy, poignant and plain funny. Being on the first show it set the perfect tone for the rest of the series.

 

Rick James: I know this will be tops on most lists. I think being based on a true story and having Charlie Murphy and Rick James going back and forth on events helps to flesh it out. Chapelle's Rick James impression is awesome and the skit is filled with lines that my friends say all the time like "I'm Rick James bitch" and "Fuck your couch." I have to give honorable mention to the Prince story too.

 

World Series of Dice: This one just grew on me the more I saw it. It's got funny characters, a beginning, middle and end and a great exit bit. Leonard Washington is one of my favorite characters because he's different from the other strung out drug addicts and comes off like a blaxsploitation ghetto cool pimp.

 

 

R. Kelly videos: The best part is that the songs aren't that bad. You can sing along and they get stuck in your head. Very funny visuals make it too.

 

Reparations: Another very clever and funny bit that revels in stereotypes in order to make fun of them. Introduced the world to Tron who I liked a lot better here than when he later turned into a crazier copy of Tyrone

The Player Haters Ball- Simply due to the inclusion of Buc Nasty and Silky Johnson. Because of this my answering machine on my cell phone is simply "Yeeeah, holla at'cha boy".

 

Dave Chappelle's "Zapped!"- This one owns not so much in part of the skit but afterwards when the WB frog sits on Dave's shoulder and says "Maaaaammy" with these huge lips. Dave afterwards: "What, I can't make fun of that fucking frog? Fuck that frog. They'd never try that shit on white networks."

 

The Mad Real World- It's got Poet from Oz guest starring. What the fuck else do you want?

- The Print Shop training video. "Now you may ask, why do you treat the customers so poorly? Cause fuck 'em, that's why"

The Sesame Street Parody (was it Kneehigh Park or something similar)?

 

Also, the "When Keepin' It Real Goes Wrong" with the lady who thought her man was cheating on her.

Although I love most that have been mentioned, my all time favorite is The Playa Haters' Ball. It's spectacular as is, but the outtakes on the DVD are fucking hilarious,

 

Pitbull: Those multi-ethnic hoes look like a box if Skittles, man.

Silky: I could say the same about your hoes because it looks like you ate them.

Clayton Bigsby doesn't hold up well with multiple viewings...where as Rick James is still funny as hell every time you see it.

Every time I watch Rick James something different becomes my favorite part. Lately it's been when he calls in his security to his hotel room as says "No Darkness, the tables have turned!" Like some friggin 1950s movie villan.

Those THS skits may be the funniest due to their replay value, but the Racial Draft actually had me doubled over in tears after the Asians drafted.

For some reason EVERYONE has seen this skit, even people who normally don't watch the show. Hell, i was at some film festival event, and even punk rocker dudes were yelling out, "I'm Rick James, bitch" all throughout the night.
