We've all had them. You're kicking the guy's ass all match, and he hits you with one finisher and pins you. Or he was beating you up, you make a big comeback, and he nails his special out of nowhere for a win.

 

Mine, copied from another thread.

 

In a fourway for WM XIX, I was Big Show facing FGB and two other people. I started to pound him to shit, and then started toying with him, I hit something like five successive chokeslams, picked him up to hit a sixth, he blocked it and Jackhammered me for the win. I through my controller out the window.

The Match: Hulk Hogan (Me) vs. Brock Lesnar (CPU) on Wrestlemania XIX

I have Brock down with the hulk up big boot, then drop 6 or 7 consexutive leg drops and only get a two count. BARELY. 20-30 seconds later Brock F5's me for the win.

 

God that pissed me off.

I was playing a 30 minute match against Billy Gunn in No Mercy. I hit a moonsault miss and he then pins me for the win.

Billy Gunn + Famouser out of nowhere = me getting very very pissed. It was my first loss playing the game...after I had ran over EVERYONE multiple times (including him), and then just....out of nowhere...

 

HHH did the same thing to me once in a 4 Way Elimination match... me and him were the final two... Pedigree from out of nowhere and you just don't kick out of that.

After sliding outside the ring to grab a chair, I slide back into the ring and go to bash him with it, but because I botched my Pre-Mania interview and gave him a Smackdown Rating, what happens?

I cannot remember how many countless obscenities I've screamed while having to fight The Undertaker in that game. Being the Taker mark I am, I would usually just play *as* the Taker, however on the odd occasion that I went through 'Road to Wrestlemania' without him, I'd almost always end up storming out of the room 20 minutes later swearing to never play the game again.

 

Of course, 10 minutes later I'd be back in there at it again.

I'm The Giant facing Eric Bischoff, just because I wanted to see what The Giant's moveset was, and I hated Eric at the time.

 

Thirty seconds into the match, Bischoff clotheslines me. As soon as I get up, he gives me another clothesline. And another. And another. I can't do anything. After a fifth clothesline, I am completely knocked out and lose.

 

Most annoying loss of all time goes to me losing all of my data to No Mercy's bug.

RAW 2 has to be the worst offender of this. You could have matches with Hulk Hogan that go for 25 minutes. You could squash Hogan, and hit your finisher on him five tiem in a row and he'll still Hulk up, give you the big boot, the leg drop, and pin you in about a span of 30 seconds.

Smackdown-SYM. Now, I admit, I'm very bad at video games, but I had pretty much mastered the Royal Rumble. So I thought, what the hell, let's put it on hard. I was RVD I believe, and I just left the entrants the way they were. Anyways, I make it to the final three with Rob, and it's me, Undertaker, and Torrie Wilson. I'm thinking, hell, I 'm not going for Taker first, so I try to throw Torrie out. She reverses, and I'm out.

 

To further the WTF moment, Torrie goes on the win the Rumble. I wanted to cry.

I once created a monster on No Mercy. It was a friggin Michael Shane CAW. He beat me in every match I played him in at like 1:30. That's what I get for cloning him from Shawn Michaels.

 

 

Another embarassing loss came in that game when I was beating my brother's ass in an Iron Man Match. I got up 2 falls, then he came back. He beat me 15 straight falls to 2.

 

 

He also beat me in WM XIX with a freakin arm drag. I was Benoit and he was Eddie and we were in the middle of an awesome match. He went for a Frog Splash and I dodged it. I went to go pick him up and he countered that and arm draged me.

 

Ok here's my last loss. I was playing a 3 Way match as Brock Lesnar against Spanky and Paul London in HCTP. I was destroying them. I was just toying around with them. They got in a few chair shots here and there, slowly wearing me down. So I knock out Spanky with an STO. I go to F-5 London through a table and he counters with a Kick and he hits his DDT finisher. Paul London is the new World Champion.

In WWE Smackdown: Shut Your Mouth, I was Randy Savage playing against RVD in a Hardcore match and I was at a place (like a boiler room). I knocked RVD down and climbed to the second platform and did the elbow. Except there is no actual targeting in the game so I missed the elbow by a foot and I lost after the elbow.

 

Also, in SYM, I lost the Wrestlemania Main Event as Kevin Nash against Eddie Guerrero in HIAC match.

 

Oh, and anytime I play against Brock in HCTP.

I was playing the rumble as Hollywood Hogan, and I think its safe to say its the hardest rumble in any wrestling game ever.

 

The Computer controlled players would triple team all the time because of the horrible gameplay.

 

But I still made it to the final 2....and lost to THE HURRICANE.

Fire Pro Wrestling 2- Jushin Liger (me) vs. Tiger Mask (CPU)

-I beat the shit out of TM for 20 minutes, hitting him with everything in my arsenal. A running palm strike, followed by a brainbuster, followed by a shooting star press only gets two. I hit a running Ligerbomb which only gets two. In an attempt to finally put TM away, I nail a super fisherman buster. For some reason, TM gets up first, calmly walks over and pins me for the win.

 

WrestleMania XIX- Brock Lesnar (me) vs. Goldberg (CPU)

-After hitting a triple powerbomb and a spinning powerbomb, I get my special. I hit three consecutive F5s. I pick up Goldberg for a fourth F5, but he hits a Jackhammer out of nowhere for the win.

Final one: Anytime it's a singles match where I can easily win but don't to just beat the crap out of someone. Thats when I lose.

 

Not exactly on topic, but I nearly killed Randy Orton in a HIAC match by release german suplexing him through the roof, I land in the ring, and he lands out of it. So I wait for about a minute and he still hasn't gotten up. So I just throw him in the ring, and pin him.

 

That was just off the charts funny.

Goddamn No Mercy 64. For some reason I could not get out of facing Farooq. He'd block and reverse every damn move. I just couldn't get anything off. My only offense was suckering him out of the ring and nailing him when he got back in.

AKI Handicap matches. They seem pretty easy in the SmackDown engine, but I get my ass handed to me in WM2000/No Mercy, and more recently, Def Jam Vendetta.

 

I remember playing DJV last year, thinking I had the big handicap match in the story mode won, then getting ganged up on and beaten. That always upsets me. I think I even came onto the forums and ranted against handicap matches, but was told to just stop sucking at the game (fair enough).

I was playing a Riyal Rumble in Smackdown HCTP on Smackdown difficulty. I chose to play as my CAW Torrent. Anyway, I entered at number two. Seeing as I had nines for every stat and had been playing on Smackdown difficulty for over four months, my feeling was "Oh, p'shaw". Sure enough, I've made it to the end, and number thirty is Vince McMahon. I purposely get the other four guys eliminated so it's just me and Vince. I fucking wail on him for a good ten minutes until all of his body sections are red except one arm, which is yellow. Finally I've decided that it's been long enough, so I attempt to whip him to the ropes and he REVERSES, whips me, and with only my torso in the yellow I sail over the top rope. That was a motherfucker.

In Smackdown HCTP I'm in a handicap match against HHH, Lesnar and Goldberg. I like the challenge. I'm using a CAW of myself whose stats are all 10. It had gone on for a while, I'm pretty sure if I had managed to get the other two down I could pin one of them, but I'm all red too. I do the spinning wheel kick off the top rope, take out Lesnar and Goldberg, but HHH is too far back, and when I land, cause you land on your back from that move, he pins me before I can get up and gets the three.

No shame in losing a match like that, I don't think... but I was close, had spent a lot of time working them down, and got pinned off of my own move. That's the worst.

I was playing as Batista and was feuding with Vince McMahon. After beating him blind at Survivor Series he fired me but luckly Steph was there to tell Vince to HE was suspened as Chairman for being a dick to me and I am the new chairman and Vince has to be my bitch. So the whole month of December I'm toying with Vince making wrestle The Undertaker and Kevin Nash in handicap matches. It was not to last though as Vince was to go 1 on 1 with me again at Armageddon with the chairmanship on the line.

 

THE MATCH

Batistia (Chairman) v. Vince McMahon

 

As soon as the bell rings I run Vince over about 9 times with deadly clotheslines. I toss him outside and choke the life out of him with a Sledgehammer until I got all my Smackdown things filled then it was Power Bomb Party Time on the floor. I hit him with about 9 Power Bombs and toss back into the ring fully prepared to rid the wrestling world of Vince McMahon once and for all. I grab the table and move in for the kill, but then the unthinkable happens, Vince HULKS up!!!! He snags the table from me and hits me over and over and over again and I can't fucking get away for anything. He throws me on the table climbs to the top rope and drives the elbow threw the table and my soul to recliam the spot as chairman.

 

My reaction to this wasn't anger, but just pure and simple shock. I stared blankly at the TV screen for like 5 minutes after this. I turned the game off and it hasn't been turned back on since.

I'm glad to see playing Ricky Morton is still a phad. I did a 6-Man Tag as TWGTT/Angle vs. Evolution minus Flair. I tag in as Haas, and HHH just pummels the ever loving SHIT out of me. After 5 minutes, I barely make the tag to Angle, and I pin Trips with the angle slam out of nowhere

Also, getting hit in the back of the head by Billy Gunn in a Rumble match in WWF No Mercy, then tumbling out of the ring and being eliminated.

Undertaker, Mark Henry, Jeff Jarrett, and Godfather were the hardest for me.

 

I can't remember Henry's finisher, I *THINK* it was a bearhug, anyway, I was playing as HHH and I got to 'Mania and I faced Henry of all people, and he pinned me after using the bearhug.

My buddy and I were playing No Mercy, with our caws against one another. Close match, no clear upperhand held. At about the twenty minute mark I hit a powerbomb, then I proceed to go for a slingshot shoulder block. I go for it way too early and eat the mat. My friend then does the Rick Rude taunt, then pins me. We watched the replay for at least ten minutes, cracking up, him rubbing it in the whole time. That was also the last time he beat me in pretty much any game, a fact that I remind him if he ever gets cocky.
