Highlights of the chat included: Unhappiness with his character in WWE: A lot of promises were not fulfilled and there were twists and turns for everybody that were counterproductive. Things he didn't expect during his WWE run: I didn't envision it to be counter productive and having the belt throughout my time there. Being upset at Armageddon and Dropping the Belt: Nothing necessarily at Armageddon. It just came to a head and they were stupid to take the belt off of me. Working for NWA:TNA: I don't really don't know the product so I can't really answer that. I would like to kill a couple of guys over there so yes, that would be an option. Returning to WWE to face Steve Austin: I would love nothing more then to wrestle Austin at Wrestlemania XXI. As I said before, I would consider going back if the circumstances were a lot different. I only left for those circumstances. My knee is also not good, and I want to take some time to get it operated on and get it taken care of. If I do another movie, that is what a stunt man is for. Future Plans: No question that I will do more acting. I am considering it. I am re-signing a Japanese contract to wrestle overseas. Brock Lesnar's Decision to leave WWE: I believe if anybody has a dream, before they die they should have the option to pursue it. He is entitled to that decision. More power to him to make himself happy. Scott Hall: He is a troubled soul. I wish him all the best! Issues with Chris Jericho: We don't see eye to forehead. Wrestlemania XX: [The match with Brock Lesnar] could have been a wonderful match in history but the fans in the arena wouldn't let that happen. They just wanted to heckle us both for leaving. We didn't want to be there at that time, but give me a break. I wouldn't have been there if it wasn't for the fans. His WWE Debut: Rushed, very rushed. I didn't think the match had the proper preparation, nor the did the angle have the proper preparation. Although it was an honor to be there and an honor to wrestle the Rock, it could have gone better. Creative Control in WWE: I think people know me much better than to think I had control over any of that. I wouldn't change my entrance, my music, any of that. If it isn't broken, don't fix it. Believe me, if I had creative control things would have been A LOT Different. If they paid me to be creative what you saw is what I wouldn't have created. That's a fact, jack! Other than that, yeah, they really did fuck up with Goldy. Selfishly though, I don't care. He's gone.

So...let me get this straight: 1) Its the fans fault it wasn't a good match because he was heckled. 2) He didn't want to be there. 3) He was there for the fans. Yeah. With airtight logic like that, its hard to believe he wasn't offered a spot on the booking committee.

I think that Backlash was when it really dawned on us that Goldberg was going to suck in this company - but look the bright side. He was gone quicker than we thought he would be. There were some portions of that interview that I enjoyed (What can I say? I'm a softie), and some that made me want to punch him in the fucking face. But even with the portions that I did enjoy, my opinion on Bill Goldberg hasn't changed: A no respect for the industry, talentless hack.

Guest wrestlingbs Posted April 9, 2004 Report Posted April 9, 2004 If Goldberg had creative control over his debut he'd probably have mowed over half of the roster, made himself champ, and then not want to job the belt to any wrestler he'd didn't think deserve it (i.e. anybody). I'll admit he improved near the end (while he was still there), but giving him the book would make things a whole lot worse.

Well, at least not the type of heat that he received. Goldberg actually tried in that match - Brock did nothing, because he was too fucking preoccupied with the crowd, instead of actually trying to work a decent match, which probably would have got the crowd off his back.
