JoeDirt 0 Report post Posted April 9, 2004 From PWInsider.com ===================================================== BK Steven sent along a link to the transcript from Bill Goldberg's chat on AOL earlier this week. Highlights of the chat included: Unhappiness with his character in WWE: A lot of promises were not fulfilled and there were twists and turns for everybody that were counterproductive. Things he didn't expect during his WWE run: I didn't envision it to be counter productive and having the belt throughout my time there. Being upset at Armageddon and Dropping the Belt: Nothing necessarily at Armageddon. It just came to a head and they were stupid to take the belt off of me. Working for NWA:TNA: I don't really don't know the product so I can't really answer that. I would like to kill a couple of guys over there so yes, that would be an option. Returning to WWE to face Steve Austin: I would love nothing more then to wrestle Austin at Wrestlemania XXI. As I said before, I would consider going back if the circumstances were a lot different. I only left for those circumstances. My knee is also not good, and I want to take some time to get it operated on and get it taken care of. If I do another movie, that is what a stunt man is for. Future Plans: No question that I will do more acting. I am considering it. I am re-signing a Japanese contract to wrestle overseas. Brock Lesnar's Decision to leave WWE: I believe if anybody has a dream, before they die they should have the option to pursue it. He is entitled to that decision. More power to him to make himself happy. Scott Hall: He is a troubled soul. I wish him all the best! Issues with Chris Jericho: We don't see eye to forehead. Wrestlemania XX: [The match with Brock Lesnar] could have been a wonderful match in history but the fans in the arena wouldn't let that happen. They just wanted to heckle us both for leaving. We didn't want to be there at that time, but give me a break. I wouldn't have been there if it wasn't for the fans. His WWE Debut: Rushed, very rushed. I didn't think the match had the proper preparation, nor the did the angle have the proper preparation. Although it was an honor to be there and an honor to wrestle the Rock, it could have gone better. Creative Control in WWE: I think people know me much better than to think I had control over any of that. I wouldn't change my entrance, my music, any of that. If it isn't broken, don't fix it. Believe me, if I had creative control things would have been A LOT Different. If they paid me to be creative what you saw is what I wouldn't have created. That's a fact, jack! Goldberg also touched on a number of different topics including charity work, Steve Austin, his movie, The Rock, Eric Bischoff and more. You can check out the complete chat at www.BillGoldberg.com. CanadianChick 0 Report post Posted April 9, 2004 Issues with Chris Jericho: We don't see eye to forehead. Oooh! Chris Jericho is short jokes! Gotta love 'em. I give an A for creativity! Other than that, yeah, they really did fuck up with Goldy. Selfishly though, I don't care. He's gone.

SuperJerk 0 Report post Posted April 9, 2004 Wrestlemania XX: could have been a wonderful match in history but the fans in the arena wouldn't let that happen. They just wanted to heckle us both for leaving. We didn't want to be there at that time, but give me a break. I wouldn't have been there if it wasn't for the fans. So...let me get this straight: 1) Its the fans fault it wasn't a good match because he was heckled. 2) He didn't want to be there. 3) He was there for the fans. Yeah. With airtight logic like that, its hard to believe he wasn't offered a spot on the booking committee.
Lil' Bitch 0 Report post Posted April 9, 2004 nor the did the angle have the proper preparation Yeah, well no selling Rock's brutal chair attack didn't help either, jackass.
Guest I Got Banned for Sucking Report post Posted April 9, 2004 I swear Deon, you had Edge in your sig five minutes ago. I think that Backlash was when it really dawned on us that Goldberg was going to suck in this company - but look the bright side. He was gone quicker than we thought he would be. There were some portions of that interview that I enjoyed (What can I say? I'm a softie), and some that made me want to punch him in the fucking face. But even with the portions that I did enjoy, my opinion on Bill Goldberg hasn't changed: A no respect for the industry, talentless hack.
Guest Trivia247 Report post Posted April 9, 2004 Goldy and Brock single handedly ruined WM XX tarnished the Benoit win because before we get to see the great moment we have to get stuck with Shitberg and Whiny Don't Do shit for 20 minutes
Guest wrestlingbs Report post Posted April 9, 2004 If Goldberg had creative control over his debut he'd probably have mowed over half of the roster, made himself champ, and then not want to job the belt to any wrestler he'd didn't think deserve it (i.e. anybody). I'll admit he improved near the end (while he was still there), but giving him the book would make things a whole lot worse.
Guest I Got Banned for Sucking Report post Posted April 9, 2004 You're right, it did tarnish Benoit's win. I think that Goldberg expected heat - Brock didn't. Well, at least not the type of heat that he received. Goldberg actually tried in that match - Brock did nothing, because he was too fucking preoccupied with the crowd, instead of actually trying to work a decent match, which probably would have got the crowd off his back. notJames 0 Report post Posted April 9, 2004 ...I think that Backlash was when it really dawned on us that Goldberg was going to suck... Change "Backlash" to "his inability to wrestle during his entire career" and you've got something there. FGB.
haVoc 0 Report post Posted April 9, 2004 How did Brock/Goldberg tarnish a great main event and Benoit's Title victory? Is Bret/Owen and the ladder match from WMXX tarnished because the rest of the card was weak?
notJames 0 Report post Posted April 9, 2004 Agreed. As soon as Austin left the ring, I'd already forgotten about that match. No match will ever take anything away from Benoit's victory.
Guest MikeSC Report post Posted April 9, 2004 Unhappiness with his character in WWE: A lot of promises were not fulfilled and there were twists and turns for everybody that were counterproductive. "Damn them for not allowing me to squash everybody on the roster in under 2 minutes. I don't want to work!!!" Things he didn't expect during his WWE run: I didn't envision it to be counter productive and having the belt throughout my time there. He didn't expect to be champ? Heck, in hindsight, he never should have had it anyway. Being upset at Armageddon and Dropping the Belt: Nothing necessarily at Armageddon. It just came to a head and they were stupid to take the belt off of me. Because, God knows, the wrestling on RAW got worse after ya lost the belt there, right Goldy? Working for NWA:TNA: I don't really don't know the product so I can't really answer that. I would like to kill a couple of guys over there so yes, that would be an option. Isn't he the guy who doesn't want him image tarnished because all of his charity work? Returning to WWE to face Steve Austin: I would love nothing more then to wrestle Austin at Wrestlemania XXI. As I said before, I would consider going back if the circumstances were a lot different. I only left for those circumstances. My knee is also not good, and I want to take some time to get it operated on and get it taken care of. If I do another movie, that is what a stunt man is for. A movie company would hire GB for his ACTING? Ouch. He was noticeably bad in the Looney Tunes movie. Issues with Chris Jericho: We don't see eye to forehead. And they had Chris JOB to this putz?!?!? Wrestlemania XX: [The match with Brock Lesnar] could have been a wonderful match in history but the fans in the arena wouldn't let that happen. They just wanted to heckle us both for leaving. We didn't want to be there at that time, but give me a break. I wouldn't have been there if it wasn't for the fans. The fans made the two of you not make contact for about 2 1/2 minutes, and then proceed to have, easily, the worst match on the card? It's the fans' fault? His WWE Debut: Rushed, very rushed. I didn't think the match had the proper preparation, nor the did the angle have the proper preparation. Although it was an honor to be there and an honor to wrestle the Rock, it could have gone better. Heck, Rock thought he was terrible. "Me job? BWA HA HA HA!" -=Mike
humongous2002 0 Report post Posted April 9, 2004 It'll be STUPID and INSANE for WWE to waste their money on this untalented bag of crap, Goldberg is so full of himself for a man that didn't hack it in the NFL.
Guest M. Harry Smilac Report post Posted April 9, 2004 They should bring him in on smackdown as a top heel and make the brain his manager.*drools* Well the last part will never happen but maybe they can stick him with Teddy Long since we already know goldberg can't work the mic.Sure it would just lead to Taker beating him eventually but Smackdown so needs name heels right now it's pathetic. The Tino Standard 0 Report post Posted April 9, 2004 So Goldberg doesn't see "eye to forehead" with Jericho? I wonder if his view changed when Jericho took him down and had him in control backstage last year.
