Guest wildpegasus Posted April 9, 2004 Report Posted April 9, 2004 My brother was interested in who had the most turns from the dark side to the good side and vice versa in wrestling. So who leads the pack? The guy that immediatly springs to mind for me is Lex Luger.
Guest Posted April 9, 2004 Report Posted April 9, 2004 Test and Luger. Benoit, Jericho and Flair have a lot.
Papacita Posted April 9, 2004 Report Posted April 9, 2004 Test hasn't really been that bad as far as turns go. Big Show probably doesn't have the most, but he's definitely up there.
Aero Posted April 9, 2004 Report Posted April 9, 2004 I'd say Big Show definitely qualifies. - Started out as a heel in 1999 in the Corporation... - face at WM XV and in the Union - heel with Undertaker in summer - face during Big Boss Man feud - heel in build-up to Royal Rumble 2000 - face after WM 2000, doing all the comedy like Showster - heel in summer when he rejoined Shane McMahon, before going to OVW - face for the Invasion - heel when he joined the nWo in 2002 and later feuded with Brock into 2003 I'm surprised he's been able to keep his heel status for so long, ever since 2002, I believe. Still, nine face/heel turns since debuting in WWF in 1999. Didn't he also turn alot in WCW? Billy Gunn I think has had alot of turns, also.
TheOriginalOrangeGoblin Posted April 9, 2004 Report Posted April 9, 2004 Luger turned twice during ONE MATCH at Starcade 95. Either he or Big show takes the cake(and eats it in Show's case).
Guest Fook Posted April 9, 2004 Report Posted April 9, 2004 Kane's had quite a few turns although he seems to be stable right now with his monster heel character.
Papacita Posted April 9, 2004 Report Posted April 9, 2004 Didn't [show] also turn alot in WCW? Not sure what happened with him after I stopped watching in 98, but he started off as a heel with the Dungeon, teased a face turn in early 96 (against Sting?) then went back to the Dungeon, was default face against Hogan at Hog Wild, joined the nWo in late-August or September, got kicked out in December, and remained face for all of 97 before rejoining the nWo in 98. Am I missing anything?
Just John Posted April 9, 2004 Report Posted April 9, 2004 I think the Giant was actually a face in mid 96. He feuded with the Horsemen and the NWO before he joined them.
Papacita Posted April 9, 2004 Report Posted April 9, 2004 When the Dungeon and the Horsemen feuded, both groups were heels.
Kahran Ramsus Posted April 10, 2004 Report Posted April 10, 2004 Not sure what happened with him after I stopped watching in 98, but he started off as a heel with the Dungeon, teased a face turn in early 96 (against Sting?) then went back to the Dungeon, was default face against Hogan at Hog Wild, joined the nWo in late-August or September, got kicked out in December, and remained face for all of 97 before rejoining the nWo in 98. Am I missing anything? He turned face again a week or so prior to leaving the company.
Just John Posted April 10, 2004 Report Posted April 10, 2004 When the Dungeon and the Horsemen feuded, both groups were heels. That always confused me. Whenever I watch ppv's from that era, someone different was getting cheered. At the Great American Bash 96, Benoit got cheered against Sullivan. In a tag match at Bash at the Beach 96, the Horsemen were very heelish and the DoD acted like faces. That makes me ask, why the hell there would be a stable war with no faces, but I then I remember it's WCW.
Lil' Bitch Posted April 10, 2004 Report Posted April 10, 2004 I'd also count Bret Hart, especially when he arrived in WCW, its like they kept turning him every week.
Papacita Posted April 10, 2004 Report Posted April 10, 2004 That makes me ask, why the hell there would be a stable war with no faces, but I then I remember it's WCW. That's one of the things I liked about the feud, personally. Made things seem a lot more unpredictable to me. And realistic.

That's one of the things I liked about the feud, personally. Made things seem a lot more unpredictable to me. And realistic. It seemed realistic because, well, it was, wasn't it?
Just John Posted April 10, 2004 Report Posted April 10, 2004 Papacita, don't tell me you consider anything with the Dungeon of Doom realistic. While we're on the subject, what were they feuding over to begin with?
Guest Man Of 1,004 Modes Posted April 10, 2004 Report Posted April 10, 2004 Papacita, don't tell me you consider anything with the Dungeon of Doom realistic. While we're on the subject, what were they feuding over to begin with? They were fighting over which stable would gang bang Hogan backstage to keep getting pushes.
TheOriginalOrangeGoblin Posted April 10, 2004 Report Posted April 10, 2004 While we're on the subject, what were they feuding over to begin with? Ummm it started with the Pillman/Sullivan feud....oh wait the two groups were already fighting at World War 95....fuck if I know what they were feuding over. All I know is it went on FOREVER!
SamoaRowe Posted April 11, 2004 Report Posted April 11, 2004 Kevin Nash in 2000. Seriously, he jumped back and forth so many times it was disgusting.
Jebus Posted April 11, 2004 Report Posted April 11, 2004 Good choices so far... Although I don't think he's had the most turns, Kurt Angle has to be mentioned...let's see: Nov 99 - July 01: heel July 01 - Nov 01: face Nov 01 - Dec 02: heel Dec 02 - Dec 02: face (that was a short one) Dec 02 - June 03: heel June 03 - Feb 04: face Feb 04 - today: heel
JoeDirt Posted April 11, 2004 Report Posted April 11, 2004 Test: Debuted as a heel Turned face and joined the Union. Turned heel and joined T&A Turned face when they split Turned heel during the Invasion. Turned face with the whole Testicles debacle Turned heel on Stacy. That's 6 turns in 5 years right there...unless there's more I'm forgetting.
JoeDirt Posted April 11, 2004 Report Posted April 11, 2004 I think everyone's forgetting about Billy Gunn! Smoking Gunns debuted as faces. Turned heel in late 95/early 96. Turned face along with DX in 1998. Turned heel before his KOTR win in 1999. Turned face and got back with Road Dogg in September 1999. Turned heel when DX reformed in November of 1999. After his injury, he returned as a babyface in 2000. Turned heel in his tag team with Big Show. (Not sure about this one) Turned face for the Invasion angle. Turned heel for the Billy and Chuck tag team. Turned face after the "wedding". That's 10 turns right there, and I'm probably missing more. Plus the it looked like he'd return from injury at the Rumble this year as a cocky heel, but then he just came back as the old babyface Billy Gunn.
Guest Choken One Posted April 11, 2004 Report Posted April 11, 2004 exactly. He did the whole "10 great things about Billy Gunn" skit and just returned the same old generic face.
Papacita Posted April 13, 2004 Report Posted April 13, 2004 While we're on the subject, what were they feuding over to begin with? Ummm it started with the Pillman/Sullivan feud....oh wait the two groups were already fighting at World War 95....fuck if I know what they were feuding over. All I know is it went on FOREVER! Were they? I'm pretty sure they were allied against Hogan going into at least February.
bob_barron Posted April 13, 2004 Report Posted April 13, 2004 Tajiri: Came into company as Regal's lackey. (Don't know if that's heel or face) Is established as face with the Invasion. Turns heel in the spring of 2002 with the Torrie thing. Turns face later that year. Turns heel on Rey Mysterio in September 2003. Turns face with no explanation a few weeks ago. I don't remember all of Eddy's turns in WCW buuuut: Enters as face Turns heel a week later Turns face again with the whole Chyna thing Turns heel when him and Chyna break up Turns face (Well teases one) with the whole Eddy Hardy angle ::disappears:: Returns as a heel Turns face with the whole lying cheating stealing thing with Chavito Turns heel on Tajiri Turns face again a few weeks later against Cena
deancoles Posted April 14, 2004 Report Posted April 14, 2004 The McMahons(Except Linda) have all turned heel to face on numerous occassions and Vince was going through a spell where he was face on Raw and Heel on Smackdown.
