Guest fanofcoils Posted September 18, 2004 Report Posted September 18, 2004 This show is a joke, both teams are equally cursed. Being in the World Series and losing doesn't make you less cursed than not being there since being cursed. Being a fun and lovable team doesn't make you less cursed than a more competitive team. On the espn.com poll where the red sox get 65% of the vote and the cubs get 35% of the vote is only because there are more red sox fans than cubs fans.
Guest Staravenger Posted September 18, 2004 Report Posted September 18, 2004 The Red Sox have the curse of choking. The Cubs just sucked.
Guest Anglesault Posted September 18, 2004 Report Posted September 18, 2004 The Cubs also seem to be less bothered by the curse. That Bartman ball wouldn't have gotten a massage or room service in Boston.
Black Lushus Posted September 18, 2004 Report Posted September 18, 2004 Earlier in this thread (or was it a different ESPN sucks thread?), I had mentioned that I don't think Suzy Kolber is that good looking...i want to take a moment to take back that RIDICULOUS statement and admit that I would whole heartedly fuck her anytime she wanted and would not be ashamed to tell the whole world...I apologize for my ignorance...oh yeah, and for an older gal, I would love to bone Michelle Tafoya...
Brett Favre Posted September 18, 2004 Report Posted September 18, 2004 I just wish they would show her waist down more too. EDIT: And that's another reason why ESPN Sucks.
Guest MikeSC Posted September 18, 2004 Report Posted September 18, 2004 Earlier in this thread (or was it a different ESPN sucks thread?), I had mentioned that I don't think Suzy Kolber is that good looking...i want to take a moment to take back that RIDICULOUS statement and admit that I would whole heartedly fuck her anytime she wanted and would not be ashamed to tell the whole world...I apologize for my ignorance...oh yeah, and for an older gal, I would love to bone Michelle Tafoya... You once thought Kolber wasn't eminently bangable? Yikes. -=Mike
Black Lushus Posted September 18, 2004 Report Posted September 18, 2004 I know, what a moron, right? seriously, the veins in her neck poking out and the manly voice were the big turn offs, but this season (NFL broadcasts) she looks really good, weirdness...
Guest MikeSC Posted September 18, 2004 Report Posted September 18, 2004 I know, what a moron, right? seriously, the veins in her neck poking out and the manly voice were the big turn offs, but this season (NFL broadcasts) she looks really good, weirdness... I saw her back when she and Keith were the only ones on ESPN2. She's always been my favorite ESPN NFL babe --- well, except that one chick who always seems to do the previews for Green Bay Packers games. -=Mike
Slayer Posted September 20, 2004 Report Posted September 20, 2004 This morning, SC aired about five minutes worth of clips in order to hustle (pun intended) their new movie Needless to say, I changed the channel
kkktookmybabyaway Posted September 20, 2004 Report Posted September 20, 2004 You know, from how Hu$tle looks, I think MORE commercial interruptions would be welcomed by viewers. And what's up with Pat Summerall doing the play-by-play for Sunday Night Football?...
EVIL~! alkeiper Posted September 20, 2004 Report Posted September 20, 2004 Dear god. Has anyone seen ESPN's programming schedule this week? Monday Hustle: The Warm-Up Week Begins 8:00 PM (espn classic) Head First: The Story of Charlie Hustle 9:00 PM (espn2) Thursday The Making of Hustle (espn2) I really hope this movie tanks. For the time being though, I am revoking my policy of using capital letters to spell espn.
kkktookmybabyaway Posted September 20, 2004 Report Posted September 20, 2004 The making of Hu$tle? Yeah, I'm sure that will just rule the ratings that night...
razazteca Posted September 20, 2004 Report Posted September 20, 2004 Chris Bergman's WHOOOAP! WHOOOAP! WHOOOOP! Can somebody make him stop it.
Guest MikeSC Posted September 20, 2004 Report Posted September 20, 2004 Chris Bergman's WHOOOAP! WHOOOAP! WHOOOOP! Can somebody make him stop it. Not without liberal usage of a lead pipe. It's like asking them not to blow Deion. Oh, and like EVERY other ESPN "original" program, Hu$tle will suck. Hard. -=Mike
kkktookmybabyaway Posted September 20, 2004 Report Posted September 20, 2004 Chris Bergman's WHOOOAP! WHOOOAP! WHOOOOP! Can somebody make him stop it. Hell, how about having him come up with new material -- and those retarded names don't count. I know I run phrases into the ground, but damn, at least I try to add on to my word craft. "And he could ... go ... all ... the ... way... OOPS NO HE DIDN'T HE GOT TACKLED AT THE 1-YARD-LINE LOL!" And it seems like ol' TJ put on a little weight this off-season...
razazteca Posted September 20, 2004 Report Posted September 20, 2004 Poor TJ is has been downgraded to being the Kevin Eubanks of football highlights. Quit laughing Tommy.
alfdogg Posted September 20, 2004 Report Posted September 20, 2004 I'd mark out if he actually said "LOL"
Guest MikeSC Posted September 20, 2004 Report Posted September 20, 2004 And it seems like ol' TJ put on a little weight this off-season... A kid asked if it was OK for a black man on TV to gain weight on-camera...
Brett Favre Posted September 20, 2004 Report Posted September 20, 2004 Chris Bergman's WHOOOAP! WHOOOAP! WHOOOOP! Can somebody make him stop it. I get embarrassed watching NFL Primetime when he does that.
smh810 Posted September 22, 2004 Report Posted September 22, 2004 Oh you guys suck, yes some of his catchphrases and nicknames are a little outdated but for the most part... Berman rules!!!
Slayer Posted September 22, 2004 Report Posted September 22, 2004 Only two of Berman's nicknames ever stuck in my mind as any good Frank Tanana Daiquiri and Curtis My Favorite Martin The rest blow FS and I have come up with some good ones, but they wouldn't fly on public TV
Dr. Tom Posted September 22, 2004 Report Posted September 22, 2004 I always liked Bert "Be Home" Blyleven, myself.
Guest Staravenger Posted September 22, 2004 Report Posted September 22, 2004 Chris Bergman's WHOOOAP! WHOOOAP! WHOOOOP! Can somebody make him stop it. I get embarrassed watching NFL Primetime when he does that. Is that his "Curly of the Three Stooges" impersonation? If so...I always get a chuckle out of it, but I wouldn't want anyone seeing it with me.
razazteca Posted September 22, 2004 Report Posted September 22, 2004 It is the most annoying thing that Bergman does on all of the football shows.
Black Lushus Posted September 22, 2004 Report Posted September 22, 2004 i always liked when him and Jackson would sing "San Diego Super Chargers"...
razazteca Posted September 22, 2004 Report Posted September 22, 2004 Why does he always say the New York football Giants and never the Arizona football Cardinals? Whats up with that?
kkktookmybabyaway Posted September 22, 2004 Report Posted September 22, 2004 And it seems like ol' TJ put on a little weight this off-season... A kid asked if it was OK for a black man on TV to gain weight on-camera... I never saw TJ as a fat black man ever ... ever... (Come on, General, how can you say my idea wouldn't work?) Why does he always say the New York football Giants and never the Arizona football Cardinals? East Coast bias...
Guest MD2020 Posted September 22, 2004 Report Posted September 22, 2004 Why does he always say the New York football Giants and never the Arizona football Cardinals? Whats up with that? Isn't the Giants' official (or their original) name the "New York Football Giants"? From when the baseball Giants were still in NY instead of San Franisco? I think that is why. I don't know if the Cardinals ever needed that distinctions, considering they started in Chicago.
DerangedHermit Posted September 22, 2004 Report Posted September 22, 2004 I always liked Bert "Be Home" Blyleven, myself. I liked Jim "Two Sillouhettes on" DeShaies and Eric "Sleeping with" Bieniemy
The Man in Blak Posted September 22, 2004 Report Posted September 22, 2004 I think that is why. I don't know if the Cardinals ever needed that distinctions, considering they started in Chicago. Well, they did move to St. Louis in 1960.
