Guest Smues Report post Posted April 24, 2007 I only have sets 1-8, as I dragged my feet on the last two due to the combination of lacking spare funds and largely poor episode selection as of late (as well as the upcoming one). Also, who's checked out Rifftrax? I starting checking those out a couple weeks ago and have become hooked I have about a dozen of them and I love them. Remember kids, what is the Matrix? muzz 0 Report post Posted April 24, 2007 Argh, I never got set 9, only 1 - 8 and 10. GSi is definitely one of my favourites. Actually, 10 is almost my favourite set.

Guest Smues Report post Posted May 9, 2007 "A Case of Spring Fever" is weird as fuck. Weird as fuck. Yeah and it's not very good. But it did inspire Willy the whimsical wisecracking waffle fairy, so it's got that going for it.
BorneAgain 0 Report post Posted May 9, 2007 Biggest two chuckles for me from that short were: Mike: Well at least its not as bad as the time I asked for no muscle tone. and Crow: (imitating Jimmy Stewart) Merry Christmas, you wonderful old couch!
Big McLargeHuge 0 Report post Posted May 9, 2007 Springy: Hey! You forgot to close the door! Tom: Get back here fatboy, I own your ass!

devo 0 Report post Posted May 10, 2007 As far as shorts go, no, it's not one of the best, but it's worth a few chuckles. "No springs? I don't care! There's still butter, and meatloaf!" -------------------------------------------------- "The name's Coily! Coily The Spring Sprite, they call me!" "Coily? Eww." "I heard your wish, and well, you're gonna get it!" "In hell!" -------------------------------------------------- "Where does Coily fit into God's plan for us?" Slayer 0 Report post Posted May 10, 2007 The two train shorts, "Last Clear Chance" and "Days of our Years", are still my favorites after all these years
Ted the Poster 0 Report post Posted May 10, 2007 "Could you identify this bucketful of your brother?" My favorites will always be "Why Study Industrial Arts?" and "Chicken of Tomorrow".
devo 0 Report post Posted May 11, 2007 Once Upon a Honeymoon and Speech: Platform Posture and Appearance for me. The bit with the prim and proper woman in the latter short always has me dying with laughter. Days of Our Years gets an honorable mention as well, if only for "I'm watching you feel good." muzz 0 Report post Posted May 11, 2007 What about Juvenile Delinquency? That's a viable career option.
Guest Smues Report post Posted May 11, 2007 Top 3 for me are probably: Once upon a honeymoon Mr. B Natural Chicken of Tomorrow Honorable mentions to the train shorts (especially Last Clear Chance) and Design For Dreaming (The extension of my manhood car!) muzz 0 Report post Posted May 11, 2007 I'm surprised no one's mentioned a Trip to Uncle Jim's Farm. I also enjoyed 'Hired!' a lot.
JustJoe2k5 0 Report post Posted May 30, 2007 http://www.filmcrewonline.com/index.html Just a little over a month away from the first release by the Film Crew. Thought I would bump this thread. Watched "Invasion of the Neptune Men" yesterday and that movie may be one of the worst they have ever riffed. The kids' voices, Thomas the alien spaceship, the Hitler building, "have you guys seen my record?", and what should have been the climax of the movie was essentially ten seconds of dialogue followed by fifteen minutes of stock footage.
Guest Jacob Cross Report post Posted June 1, 2007 I liked Neptune Men. It's not as good as Prince of Space, but still funny. The Hitler building part still gets me every time just because of Mike and the bots' reactions to it.
The Amazing Rando 0 Report post Posted June 1, 2007 My two favorite shorts are Mr. B Natural and The Truck Farmer, EASY. Wikiquote makes me giggle for the quotes on The Truck Farmer, mainly for: Narrator: Here in southern Texas, they have an additional problem... Crow: Texans.
BorneAgain 0 Report post Posted June 1, 2007 Narrator: ... Directly to refridgerated railroad car where it is loaded immediately. Servo: Then sent back to the farm and put back into the ground, it actually makes no sense whatsoever! Narrator: Some carrots are frozen. Crow: Some carrots are humiliated... publicly. Ravenbomb 0 Report post Posted July 8, 2007 So which locale is less appealing, Club Scum from Hobgoblins or the "Haunted House" from Girl in Gold Boots?
Guest Smues Report post Posted July 8, 2007 Club Scum. At least the Haunted House has "something". LOOK SOMETHING!
muzz 0 Report post Posted July 8, 2007 Who would find donkey mud wrestling appealing anyway? I think it was that.

KingPK 0 Report post Posted July 8, 2007 Either that or one of those halls you can rent out for a banquet or party or something. I watched Racket Girls on YouTube last night. What a hidden gem of the Mike era. The frequent use in the movie of the word "bucketing" was really odd.
Slayer 0 Report post Posted July 8, 2007 Either that or one of those halls you can rent out for a banquet or party or something. Hah, now that I think about it, it did also have the feel of an old church basement Re: Racket Girls. I loved when they kept singing/referencing REM songs every time that Michael Stipe lookalike was on screen
DMann2003 0 Report post Posted July 10, 2007 Just rewatched "Warrior of the Lost World" "I get the feeling this film was made in Italy" "What do you expect from a country that had a pornstar in Parliment" MEGA-WEAPON!!
2GOLD 0 Report post Posted July 10, 2007 Apparently my new VCR won't play the sound on all my old taped MST3K episodes. I am now a sad clown and trying to find a new VCR that will. Which really sucks since it's next to impossible to find a VCR anymore. I had no idea certain VCRs would record sound that other VCRs couldn't pick up. This is disappointing. Perhaps I should invest in a VHS to DVD transfer system and move them to DVD?
devo 0 Report post Posted July 14, 2007 The Beatniks is a great episode. Usually, it takes me a little while to warm up to Joel episodes, but I really liked this one right off the bat. I didn't realize it's where they got the recurring "Shut up, Iris." line from. "No, he's not under contract to me..." "Forget the contract. What are you wearing?" "Well, his agent is right here." "Oh. What is he wearing?" -------------------------------- "Hello, you have reached a bald man. Press one to..." --------------------------------- "We can grab some loot, go down to Mexico, and be banditos!" "Yeah, then we'll ride Yoshi down to the Mushroom Kingdom..." devo 0 Report post Posted July 24, 2007 I got my first Film Crew DVD today, Hollywood After Dark. The presentation has a few issues - namely, I had to turn the volume up on my TV to the maximum to even hear it and the DVD has no scene selection. Thankfully, the content itself is hilarious. The riffing's about as good as the best stuff from the Sci-Fi era, and the only thing I really miss are the silhouettes of the theater seats and Mike and the Bots. Definitely worth the purchase, and I'll probably pre-order Killers From Space in the next couple days.
