Ed Wood Caulfield 0 Report post Posted April 23, 2004 Did anyone here use to be a fan of the Nickelodeon show Rocko's Modern Life? That show used to be my favorite show back when I was a kid. I've seen all the episodes, and I loved all of them. I can't really pick an all-time favorite, although if I had to, it would be either, the episode where Rocko had to have his appendix taken out, or the episode where Rocko went to find Mr. Bighead's son. I thought all the characters were funny especially Heffer. I remember watching it every weekday at 5 and then at 6 on Nickeldeon. Both versions of the theme song were catchy too. I used to talk about the show too with my friends. I absolutely loved it and am pissed that it is hardly on the air anymore. I want to see more of it on the air! So, did anyone else love this show too?
The Amazing Rando 0 Report post Posted April 23, 2004 pfft... Filburt as a lounge singer is the greatest thing that show ever did. Oh...and when Rocko's kitchen got destroyed...that was gold.. "My BALLROOM is a Bathroom!"
Guest OctoberBlood Report post Posted April 23, 2004 I've probally seen every episode as well, but I'm not positive of that. I Loved that show, and probally still do. I watched it alll the time, back when Nick was good.
DerangedHermit 0 Report post Posted April 23, 2004 I liked Dirty Dog (the Honeymooners' spoof by parasites on Spunky's fur), the Suck-O-Matic, Flu-In-U-Enza (Rocko misses a WWWWF show because of the flu, features the dancing fruit that get eaten by Spunky), The Lounge Singer, and Magic Meatball
Ripper 0 Report post Posted April 23, 2004 Filbert going to buy a box of Squirl-away like he had a sexually transmitted diease. THAT was fucking funny. I loved every second of this show. Hell...I even loved the video game where you had to keep spunky out of trouble.
Guest El Satanico Report post Posted April 23, 2004 Yes...I remember it quite well. I never watched it...but I remember it.
Guest slacklet Report post Posted April 23, 2004 Thinking back, there was a ton of innuendo on that show. Like that one episode where the Bigheads were all horny and chasing each other around their house.
The Ill One 0 Report post Posted April 23, 2004 God that was a great show, the one where Heffner tries to join the Weasles (or can't get his badge), the Christmas special, Magic Meatball, the nude beach, and the appendix are all my favorites. I completely forgot about this show until you guys started describing them. Wow. This show doesnt happen to have a DVD, does it?
Mecha Mummy 0 Report post Posted April 23, 2004 Not to my knowledge, no. And my favorite episode has to be the one where Rocko, Filburt, and Heffer find the Bigheads' son and inadvertently become cartoon creators. The one where Rocko makes a video for his parents is pretty great, too.
Slayer 0 Report post Posted April 23, 2004 Thinking back, there was a ton of innuendo on that show. One that stands out in my mind was when Rocko and Heffer go to a ranch and a ranch-hand hooks up the cow milking machine, and it's implied (less than subtly) that Heffer got sucked off by it. I was amazed, even at 14, that that got onto Nickolodeon Great show though. Standout episodes to me (looked up episode names, not good enough to remember the names offhan): "Jet Scream" - The RML take on flying "Popcorn Pandemonium" - The RML take on movie-going (excellent trailer parodies) "To Heck and Back" - Heffer goes to hell "Uniform Behavior" - Heffer becomes a night-watchman "Born to Spawn" - Filbert gets called back to his home island, but is hesitant to return "Cruisin'" - Rocko and Heffer go on seniors cruise with Grampa Wolf and a trip through the Bermuda triangle makes the seniors young and the youngins old
Spaceman Spiff 0 Report post Posted April 23, 2004 My favorite episode has to be the one where Rocko, Filburt, and Heffer find the Bigheads' son and inadvertently become cartoon creators. Wasn't the cartoon called "The Fatheads"? Great episode. Another favorite was the almost-Star Wars parody, where Mr. Bighead was golfing w/ his boss.
Guest slacklet Report post Posted April 23, 2004 What was the name of the segment they sometimes played with the fleas living on Spunky? I loved that.
Ed Wood Caulfield 0 Report post Posted April 23, 2004 I wish the show would get a DVD release or all the episodes would be avaible to download on Kazaa. I want to see all the episodes again.

Guest FrigidSoul Report post Posted April 23, 2004 I'm surprised nobody has brought up the Driver's Ed episode. That one was a classic. Child: Teacher says everytime a gas cap is returned an angel gets its wings Parent: Oh ya...well your teacher is full of snot And the fact none of you mentioned the greatest hero of all time; REALLY REALLY BIG MAN! is disturbing as well
The Ill One 0 Report post Posted April 23, 2004 I brought up the Christmas special in my first post, mainly for that elf that was found at the end and had the fuckin' deep voice when he said "No Daddy!" I wish I wasn't so little when I watched that show, I'd prolly appreicate all the inneudo a lot more. Oh and the fleas on Spunky was classic.

BorneAgain 0 Report post Posted April 23, 2004 Game Show Host: How BIG is Really Really Big Man Rocko: Uhmmm... Really Really? Host: YOU WIN! Host: We also would have accepted humongous. I love the fatheads episode where Rocko and Filbert go to Hollywood. *After seeing the Chameleon Brothers throwing animated pictures in the air shooting them with a camera* Rocko: Oh, so that's how they do it. Tour Guide: No, those guys are idiots.

PsychoDriver 0 Report post Posted April 24, 2004 Great show, one of my favorites as a kid. Looking back it was fairly edgy as well, you really notice this when I rewatched a bunch of them on the Nicktoons channel. This show contains alot of hilarious innuendo that went right over my head as a kid. Like when Spunky was screwing that mop and the Doctor stole the mop for himself, and Rocko getting stuck in that large women's ass, Mrs Bighead trying to seduce Rocko among many others. Very twisted stuff for a children's cartoon... I would really like to see this on DVD one day....
Guest Cerebus Report post Posted April 24, 2004 My freshman year in college I had a guy who was eerily similar to Thilbert in almost every way imaginable. Except he hit on every girl he came accross and he was an enormous jackass. After I and another suitemate of mine threatened him he moved out. Good riddance. Ted the Poster 0 Report post Posted April 24, 2004 This was my favorite thing on Nickelodeon. There was something quotable in practically every episode. "They call me... Peaches."
Guest I Got Banned for Sucking Report post Posted April 24, 2004 It doesn't seem old at all to me because, as usual, Australia gets older U.S. shows played. No, it's not old anyway - mid-late 90s? I haven't seen it for a while, about a year or so. Great cartoon.
