Favourite Phil Collins song

Recommended Posts

I was looking through the Guilty Pleasures thread and was surprised to see a lot of posters weren't ashamed to mention their appreciation of the artist Phil Collins. With that in mind, I was curious as to which of his many excellent hits people preferred. My top three:

1) Sussudio (Live) (from Serious Hits...Live)

2) Dance Into The Light (from Dance Into The Light)

3) Only You Know And I Know (from No Jacket Required)

Over to you guys...

Simple. In The Air Of Tonight. Whenever I hear that song I always think of the scene in the Miami Vice pilot were Crockett and Tubbs are driving thru the dark streets of Miami in the Dayonta with the top down, the lights reflecting of the hood and Crockett's hair blowing in the wind.

That music scene MADE Miami Vice and set the tone for the show and showed how good the show can be with music.

In The Air Tonight. It came on the radio while me and some friends were creeping through a parking lot looking for some dudes we were supposed to fight. That was some sweet shit.

I don't understand why everyone loves in The Air Tonight so much. I mean yeah, it's a good song, but it doesn't exactly thrill me.

I'd go Against All Odds, I Wish It Would Rain Down and Take Me Home.

Both Sides Of The Story (Both Sides)

I Wish It Would Rain Down (...But Seriously)

Another Day In Paradise (...But Seriously)

Including Genesis, my favourite would probably be Jesus He Knows Me (from We Can't Dance). High-larious parody of televangelists, and the video was great.
