Guest Report post Posted April 27, 2004 I'm getting mine on Thursday, I paid 383 dollars for mine, how much was yours if you got one and do you think it is a stupid idea?
Guest Choken One Report post Posted April 27, 2004 yes it was stupid....I used a little bubbletape and string and "carved" the school logo on it and it worked wonders.
Nevermortal 0 Report post Posted April 27, 2004 Choken having 24 posts is silly. ANyway, my parents insisted I get a ring, so it was decided that if I put 50$ down for the deposit, they'd pay for the rest. They never did. I died inside.
Guest Choken One Report post Posted April 28, 2004 speaking of high school rip offs (since i dont want to start something new)....YEARBOOKS. That's a fucking scam. 60 bucks for a book of pictures of the same fuckers you saw every day for last 4 years? fuck that shit.
Guest Dids Report post Posted April 28, 2004 Nothing is more lame than a class ring.

ISportsFan 0 Report post Posted April 28, 2004 Absolutely not. I don't wear jewelry, so it'd be pointless, and it's way too expensive. Jason
Ced 0 Report post Posted April 28, 2004 My yearbooks remind me that I only have kept in constant touch with three of the thousand students at my high school because I didn't give a damn about those other 997 asses. I never was sold on the high school class ring and varsity jacket. It's a fashion statement that's obsolete when you graduate and leave for better things. I've got yearbook pictures and my diploma and that's all I need from them. However, I may break down and get one whenever I graduate from college.
Guest T®ITEC Report post Posted April 28, 2004 Hell no. It was $400 dollars and I hated every day I spent at that school.
Guest El Satanico Report post Posted April 28, 2004 Yes...I haven't seen it in years, but it's around here somewhere. Perhaps in a trunk full of other forgotten mementos, which will be opened in the year 2050 and on a visit to the Antiques Roadshow someone will discover that my ring is some super rare class ring style and that it's worth $8500. Guest stardust Report post Posted April 28, 2004 I got one, but it was only like 90 bucks or something since I got silver, it was a small ring, and I didn't order it through Herff Jones since they markup the prices like crazy. I'm graduating from college next week and could care less about having a class ring. I did, however, get a free Alumni license plate holder from the Alumni Association. I'm debating actually displaying it on my car.

Steviekick 0 Report post Posted April 28, 2004 I went with the el cheapo clas ring, and I'm glad. I think I only wound up wearing it maybe twice. I skipped getting one from college.
JHawk 0 Report post Posted April 28, 2004 Mine was only like 85 bucks, but we're talking mid-1990s prices. Only wore it about ten times after I graduated though.
Boner Kawanger 0 Report post Posted April 28, 2004 I passed. I regret not being able to tell people to "kiss the ring" now, though. Oh, hell, I'm too lame to say that anyways. Suck it, Jostens.
Guest The Winter Of My Discontent Report post Posted April 28, 2004 I don't get any shirts, sweaters, hoodies, or rings from my high school. Whats the point? I coulda lived without the diploma as well.

Guest cobainwasmurdered Report post Posted April 28, 2004 Yeah I had one. But I broke it when I hit a guy in my first bar fight. Ah...high school.
Mole 0 Report post Posted April 28, 2004 Didn't get one because it is the biggest waste of money ever. You'll stop wearing it in 3-4 years and if you are still wearing it when you are in your late 20's, you are just a big loser. Besides, who wants to spend over $200 on a ring? When I was in HS, I'd rather have spent that money on some weed.
yankovic fan 0 Report post Posted April 28, 2004 I still wear mine. Cost nearly 400 bucks so damn right I'm going to still wear it. I didn't get a college one though because those cost twice as much as my high school ring and I didn't really want to have to trade the old one in for a small discount. I might get the college ring later on though. And I'm not a loser for still wearing it at 22. I have something that represents something that a good # of the population is just too stupid to accomplish. As far as getting the college ring, as I said, I might get one. Right now the degree that gets me the higher paying jobs is all that's on my mind. I still have my high school year books. The college yearbooks I have too, but they didn't cost any extra money as the cost was included in the tuition that was paid for in my scholarships. Anyway, my ring description is this: Size 11 (I think) 14k gold Has my initials, first on the left side of the stone, last on the right. Left side says "Class of 99, Millinium's Last Class" Right side says "Brass" and has a bunch of brass instruments. The stone is rectangular blue, with the starburst cut. On the stone is the crest of the school. Underneath the ring, engraved in script letters, is my full name. The bottom of the ring has the rippled look. And I'm not sure what the finish is called, but it's the one that's not the antique finish.
Cuban Linx 0 Report post Posted April 28, 2004 My high school didn't have class rings or anything like that, not that i would have wanted any crap like that anyway, especially if i had to pay for it.

kkktookmybabyaway 0 Report post Posted April 28, 2004 No ring here -- why buy an expensive advertisement for a school I was indifferent to? I do have some yearbooks though -- they're good for a trip down memory lane once every 10 years or so...
Kaertos 0 Report post Posted April 28, 2004 I had a class ring. My grandparents bought it for me Junior year. I think it was like $284.00. I wore it all through the last year and a half of HS and my freshmen year of college. I might still wear it occasionally, but it no longer fits. The only ring I wear these days is my wedding ring. I have all of my yearbooks too.
Eclipse 0 Report post Posted April 28, 2004 I got a class ring for grammar school, but it disappeared. I have no clue who took it, or where it went. It's somewhere in my house. I never wanted to get one for high school. I hated my school, and for one thing, I would NEVER spend 300 bucks to remember that shithole. I did get a yearbook, since my mom wanted to buy it, and also the fact that I wanted to see the mark I left in that school. For a Senior Masquerade, I dressed up, along with my friend, as the Mario Bros! We made front page news at the school newspaper, and also, we had the biggest picture in the Masquerade section of the yearbook. All the girls were all over us that Halloween. SCHWEET!
