I just had some macadamia-nut white chocolate chip cookies. Yeah. That's right.

The other day I had this Ben and Jerry's Oatmeal Cookie Chunk (or maybe Crunch) ice cream, and damn if it wasn't delicious. I ate the entire pint at once which I never do. I'll have to restrain myself before I get fat. But I know it's something I would crave if I was high, so I'll keep some in the freezer.

As a Canadian I am damn jealous of you Yanks. I was in Florida for five days earlier this week and it was some goooooood eatin' down there. I ate at IHOP and had chocolate chip pancakes which rocked ass. I had hershey puddin' pops. I had peanut butter crunch.

 

Curse you and your abundance of good food, specifically cereals.

I like IHOP because they have butter pecan syrup. I've never seen it anywhere else, though it's not like I've looked hard or anything.

 

While back I had this batter where you could make corndogs at home. They were great but I've never been able to find the mix again.

I also dig the fact that your iced tea comes unsweetened, as I prefer it that way.

Just get some cornbread mix and get it on the hot dog pretty thin-like. Works fine. One time, a couple buddies and I made this uber corndog out of four hot dogs spliced together with toothpicks and cheese. It was pretty ok.

I had some spicy tofu at the mall today... utterly delicious. I now want to fix up some at home.

Tofu is best marinated in something, as its essentially a sponge just waiting to soak up good flavors. Most people who say they don't like tofu either have never had it or had it right out of the package when its pretty flavorless. One of the best things is to give it a marrinade in some strong flavors and then cut strips out, coat them with a bit of flour and then fry them in some oil. Absolutely awesome stuff.

Well you get credit for at least trying. Most people don't even go that far.

 

If you want to try something interesting, try this:

 

Tall & Tangy Tofu Thangy

Recipe courtesy Alton Brown (Good Eats Guy)

 

1 (8 1/4-ounce) can fruit cocktail in light syrup, frozen

1 teaspoon instant lemonade mix

6 ounces cranberry juice

1 block silken tofu

 

Combine all ingredients in a blender and blend until smooth.

 

I made this and in about 5 minutes it was gone and people wanted more but I didn't have any more tofu. When I fessed up that it was made with tofu, there were some wierd looks but everyone said they would have never guessed that it had tofu in it.

1) Fry sauce owns both you and your future children.

2) I gues it depends on which one you go to, because the one I live by is just ghetto. Sonic is pretty much the best fast food place around, save for any odd local places we have.

Chev- If you dig mushrooms I highly reccomend seeking out a grilled portabello sandwich. Top it with some roasted peppers and a nice sauce...........yeah. That's the stuff.
