Lord of The Curry 0 Report post Posted April 29, 2004 So yeah. We don't have a folder anymore so this is YOUR thread to come to and talk about the new deliciousness in your life. I just had some macadamia-nut white chocolate chip cookies. Yeah. That's right. Discuss the food.
Nighthawk 0 Report post Posted April 29, 2004 The other day I had this Ben and Jerry's Oatmeal Cookie Chunk (or maybe Crunch) ice cream, and damn if it wasn't delicious. I ate the entire pint at once which I never do. I'll have to restrain myself before I get fat. But I know it's something I would crave if I was high, so I'll keep some in the freezer. Lord of The Curry 0 Report post Posted April 29, 2004 As a Canadian I am damn jealous of you Yanks. I was in Florida for five days earlier this week and it was some goooooood eatin' down there. I ate at IHOP and had chocolate chip pancakes which rocked ass. I had hershey puddin' pops. I had peanut butter crunch. Curse you and your abundance of good food, specifically cereals. Nighthawk 0 Report post Posted April 29, 2004 I like IHOP because they have butter pecan syrup. I've never seen it anywhere else, though it's not like I've looked hard or anything. While back I had this batter where you could make corndogs at home. They were great but I've never been able to find the mix again.
Lord of The Curry 0 Report post Posted April 29, 2004 Yeah, I noticed the butter pecan syrup too. I also dig the fact that your iced tea comes unsweetened, as I prefer it that way.
Guest Agent of Oblivion Report post Posted April 29, 2004 Just get some cornbread mix and get it on the hot dog pretty thin-like. Works fine. One time, a couple buddies and I made this uber corndog out of four hot dogs spliced together with toothpicks and cheese. It was pretty ok.

Guest Goodear Report post Posted April 29, 2004 I'm rocking the perogies lately as I banter about fighting with the mix in order to get the flavoring juuuuuust right.
Nevermortal 0 Report post Posted April 29, 2004 Wes' Rib House. The greatest restaurant to ever exist, and if you're from RI, you know the deal. Their chili owns your soul (and the day after, your asshole too).

Guest T®ITEC Report post Posted April 29, 2004 Beef and potato burrito-esque thing. I think Western Family makes 'em. Delicious, if not really unhealthy. Drown it in hot sauce, though, and mmmm... perfect.

MarvinisaLunatic 0 Report post Posted May 1, 2004 I had some spicy tofu at the mall today... utterly delicious. I now want to fix up some at home. Tofu is best marinated in something, as its essentially a sponge just waiting to soak up good flavors. Most people who say they don't like tofu either have never had it or had it right out of the package when its pretty flavorless. One of the best things is to give it a marrinade in some strong flavors and then cut strips out, coat them with a bit of flour and then fry them in some oil. Absolutely awesome stuff. Guest T®ITEC Report post Posted May 1, 2004 So true. That's something I learned the hard way last summer... I tried cooking up some tofu and it came out so badly. I still think of it and weep. Excuse me...
MarvinisaLunatic 0 Report post Posted May 1, 2004 So true. That's something I learned the hard way last summer... I tried cooking up some tofu and it came out so badly. I still think of it and weep. Excuse me... Well you get credit for at least trying. Most people don't even go that far. If you want to try something interesting, try this: Tall & Tangy Tofu Thangy Recipe courtesy Alton Brown (Good Eats Guy) 1 (8 1/4-ounce) can fruit cocktail in light syrup, frozen 1 teaspoon instant lemonade mix 6 ounces cranberry juice 1 block silken tofu Combine all ingredients in a blender and blend until smooth. I made this and in about 5 minutes it was gone and people wanted more but I didn't have any more tofu. When I fessed up that it was made with tofu, there were some wierd looks but everyone said they would have never guessed that it had tofu in it.
Guest T®ITEC Report post Posted May 1, 2004 Uh, gross? But also interesting. I'll have to give that a try. Perhaps substitute the cranberry juice... which is so gross...
The Czech Republic 0 Report post Posted May 1, 2004 Anything I pick up from Culver's tends to be really good food. Portillo's, also great. Hey TRITEC, is that Arctic Circle place in Utah any good? It sounds like a Culver's in that it's fast food but a level up. I know they have that disgusting fry sauce. NOT good food. Eck.

Eck. 1) Fry sauce owns both you and your future children. 2) I gues it depends on which one you go to, because the one I live by is just ghetto. Sonic is pretty much the best fast food place around, save for any odd local places we have.
