I'm close to giving up on WWE forever...

Because RAW has never been better.

Or at least not since Austin/Hart.

How many wrestlers in mid-push will ultimately fail anyway.  Let those people go and develop their skills elsewhere.  Do we need Garrison Cade? No.  Jindrak? No.  Bashams? No.  Scotty 2 Hotty? Sorry.  Rico? It just won't work.  Test? Will never work.  Kidman? Boring.  Hardcore Holly? A waste.  The list is endless with people who really have no place being on the roster.

Concentrate on Orton, Batista, Haas, Benjamin, London, Chavo, Hardy, Booker, RVD, Rey, Edge, Christian, Noble, Cena, Dupree, Eugene (if it works), La Resistance, Tajiri, and so on

Combine those mid-carders with Main Eventers

Jericho, Benoit, Eddie, Taker, Triple H, Kane, Angle

Thats enough superstars to fill one roster instead of two.

The rest should be cut.

The problem is, Cade, Scotty, Holly, Bradshaw, and Jindrak (probably) wouldn't get cut. Most of these guys get a pass due to "loyalty" or having "the look" (i.e. Cade, Jindrak), and thus would stay, while a guy like London would be turfed.

Not to mention that WWE won't let them go because they want all the talent. They won't cut those guys because they're afraid of two things: 1)They'll all go to TNA and surprise everyone with the talent they have. Firing them could just give them the desire to get better. 2)They'll give someone else the idea to start a new fed *coughTURNERcough* (After no compete clause is up). Vince won't risk anything like that happening

Benoit/HBK sucked for me until the hot ending, and then was ruined by the run-ins. They obviously don't "suck", but the match was a poorer effort than their previous 3 encounters, so I was dissapointed, highly.

Edge/Regal didn't MAIN EVENT THE SHOW for like ever. Big difference (comparison to HBK/HHH feud)

What about the sweet six man that opened the show?

Maybe I am the crazy one... you all tell me.

Garrison Cade, Mark Jindrak, Test, Billy Kidman, and Hardcore Holly are getting pushed where exactly? The only one out of the that group that has been on the main show in the last 2-3 weeks has been Cade and he's been basically the guy standing next to Coach the entire time! Stand back, Jindrak just beat Spike Dudley! He's going to the fucking MOOOOOOOON! All you have to do is not watch the secondary shows (which isn't that hard) and you would never know those guys were around in the first place.

Until they end this ridiculous "brand extension" the company will not reach its maximum capabilities.  But I'll stand by my belief that wrestling as we all knew it is dead.  Or I just don't care anymore.

I heard this opinion before. What i didn't hear is a suggestion of how to deal with the roster TV time wise? Who will you bench? Maineventers or wrestlers in mid push?

Still too many... You want the 15-30 minutes main events and decent upper mid card matches. You want the time to develope storylines. You need the time to go to commercials. You will have to compromise too much. No, They should stick to two brands and devide the time better. What they should do is compensate SD! for the loss of some talent due to stupid rearrangement of the roster.

Curious...CADE has "the look?"

Of what? Jobber from 1998 WCW Saturday Night episode who WENT TANNING?

Ooooh, PUSH HIM! Flying elbow!

He sucks.

I put it in quotes to indicate that the WWE thought he had "the look", which is why they would keep him over a guy like London.

I think those slugs mentioned need to be kept around as jobbers. You trim too many people and next thing you know all your favorite wrestlers are doing the job too often and then you'll complain about that.

Cade reminds me of 1994 Stunning Steve Austin... look wise, definitely not in in ring ability... but IMAGINE him with a bald head, a goatee and with black trunks and kneebraces

And my take on the matter is WWE is better now than it has been in years... well, RAW at least. If I didnt give up on them during the Katie Vick crap, why in HELL would I give up on them now??

Hell they are thinking on a new Tough enough, Al Snow might not wanna be the head guy anymore, throw Storm in there. Or have Snow there and Storm as the secondary trainer.

No, Storm's skills should not be wasted on rookies they picked up off the street. Put him in OVW where he belongs, with people who have the commitment to get that far, not game show contestants being offered a fat contract with a company that other people bleed and break bones to be a part of.

Perhaps Storm could be what breaks the OVW curse of capable but boring wrestlers being called up and breaks out some real gems.

I think the only guys who really should be fired is Billy Gunn and Hardcore Holly. These guys will not get over with any gimmick. Too many resources have been wasted on them and too much time spent marketing them for no reaction.

Guys like Rico and Jindrak and Rodney Mack who job and job and job are just filler, but serve a purpose. I might see Kane vs Hardy or Rhyno vs Rico and be able to predict the winner right away and turn my attention away from the TV for the rest of the match, but jobbers provide fan favorites someone to go over in the eyes of marks.

By cutting the entire floor of those guys, everyone who's in the midcard is suddently the lowercard, and all there is will be the tight group of talented mat or mic workers who will just feud with each other over and over again and somebody's favorite is going to have to job. Or there has to be a LOT of screwy "sportz entertainment finish" segments each episode.

Honestly, where were Sparky Plug and Justin Hawk Bradshaw gonna go if they left?

I'm trying to figure out where Jindrak and Cade get all these loyalty points. Didn't they sign on as part of the Invasion?

not cade... you're thinking of O'Haire and Polumbo... and Jindrak... I cant remember who was who's tag partner at the time. Cade didnt debut until he was called up from OVW last year I think

That's why I put it in quotes. Vince would give them loyalty points, which we know is BS because they had nowhere else to go.

Honestly, I think the reason why WWE doesn't seem to "cater to the smarks" very often is simple: I take a look online and I see that the "smarks" seem to watch WWE's product anyway...or at least they keep tabs on what's going on.

To WWE, TV ratings are TV ratings, buyrates are buyrates, live event revenue is live event revenue, regardless of who provides them.

Why should a company cater to a group of people who seem(IMO) to invest in said company's product regardless of its quality?

I agree totally. If wrestling were music, and you bought a band's album and hated it, would you spend money to buy the 2nd album? No of course not.

Conversely, it's difficult to give up on something that you love. Although I suppose it can be done.

For future referance you may not want to put that the buissness is to exposed and that you read spoilers in the same post. Its wrestling, not all wrestling can be great, good, or even decent. This happens! Yeah I to was once embrassed to say I was a wrestling fan, way back in 94! Wrestling is fine now and respected on, and just because WWE has it tough times just like any other big or small promotion out there today, doesn't mean you should just give up on it. I think your just embrassed because your non wrestling fan friends made fun of you for watching Raw or something.

Jindrak was in WCW as O'Haire's partner originally. Then the Natural Born Thrillers happened and O'Haire joined with Palumbo, while Jindrak joined up with Stasiak.
