Guest glennsoe Posted May 14, 2004 Report Posted May 14, 2004 Credit our friends at pwinsider.com..... ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Thanks to Jeff Seltzer for the following. ... In doing some investigation, I have found some of WWE's more recent trademark applications (and renewals). Some of them include: The Problem Solver, Takashi and most notably... renewal for "The Hardy Boyz". Looks like they could be preparing for the return of Jeff Hardy ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Quite a few readers have emailed asking who, if anyone, Mordecai is wrestling this Sunday at Judgment Day in his "debut" appearance. I haven't heard a definitive answer as to who he will be facing, but several fans have pointed out that he wrestled Shannon Moore on a house show last week, and will face Funaki this weekend on a house show, so either of them would probably be a good guess. Of course, we will have full coverage of the PPV here on the site this Sunday starting at 8pm. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
DrVenkman PhD Posted May 14, 2004 Report Posted May 14, 2004 Takashi, eh? Wonder if that's anything like Takeshi.
Guest thatdude21601 Posted May 14, 2004 Report Posted May 14, 2004 Oh no not the Hardy Boys with a Z! That's mildly depressing for me. Takashi? I guess the bodygaurd of Kenzo? Atleast they aren't all named after cars americans have heard of, although Hirohito wasn't exactly up there either. I thought they already did "The problem Solver". Eh. Haha Dr. funny picture, poor Tijari.
Guest slacklet Posted May 14, 2004 Report Posted May 14, 2004 The Problem Solver I would guess that's Booker's new gimmick. Kind of a play on "The Answer". He'd be an all-knowing voodoo guy. Like Rafiki.

JoeDirt Posted May 14, 2004 Report Posted May 14, 2004 Takashi? WTF? It's gotta be Suzuki's bodyguard. Hardy Boyz coming back...uggh. V-1 was so much better than Matt and Jeff. The Problem Solver was cooler when used as a tag team finisher than a nickname.
Guest TigerDriver91 Posted May 14, 2004 Report Posted May 14, 2004 Suzuki is 6'3" and apparently his bodyguard is 5'10" There something funny about that, to me anyways
AndrewTS Posted May 14, 2004 Report Posted May 14, 2004 Suzuki is 6'3" and apparently his bodyguard is 5'10" There something funny about that, to me anyways Maybe 5'10" isn't his height, but his width..
Secret Agent Posted May 14, 2004 Report Posted May 14, 2004 Or maybe the shorter guy is just a badass?
Conspiracy_Victim Posted May 14, 2004 Report Posted May 14, 2004 The problem solver.... They're bringing in Simon Diamond? OK yes I know better but his finisher in ECW WAS the Problem Solver was it not?
Guest DeathBecomesYou Posted May 14, 2004 Report Posted May 14, 2004 The problem solver.... They're bringing in Simon Diamond? OK yes I know better but his finisher in ECW WAS the Problem Solver was it not? That would be a pretty good idea, I mean Simon's decent in the ring, is good on the mic, has a great look and his missus already works for WWE in Dawn Marie. Hell, at least he'd be interesting on Smackdown, who need all the interesting people they can find. As well, the Problem Solver wasn't the name of Simon's finisher, it was the name of the double team move that Simon and Swinger would do.
AndrewTS Posted May 14, 2004 Report Posted May 14, 2004 "As well, the Problem Solver wasn't the name of Simon's finisher, it was the name of the double team move that Simon and Swinger would do. " Plus I think it was Dennis Knight's finisher back when him and the Ex-Henry Godwinn were Jarrett's lackeys, "Southern Justice." I guess WWE didn't renew it. Regardless whether it is used for a wrestler or a move, I still think it sounds stupid.
Brett Favre Posted May 14, 2004 Report Posted May 14, 2004 Isn't Takashi that 7'11 guy from NBA Street? I'd dig that.
Use Your Illusion Posted May 15, 2004 Report Posted May 15, 2004 Don't worry, Jeff, *I* want you back. Wow, that sounded really gay. I'm leaving.
AlaskanHero Posted May 15, 2004 Report Posted May 15, 2004 Has anyone ever felt really paranoid and thought they did these things to yank our preverbial chains? You know, like they did with the ECW thing? Could the people of this board be getting all upset over Jeff Hardy's return just to find out he's not coming back? I think they renewed the name The Hardy Boyz because it's possible he may come back and that they'll redo the team. It's not set in stone yet. I wouldn't mind Jeff coming back. Team Matt and Jeff back together and it'll save the two from jobber duty. Plus it's another tag team. But still, it could just be chain yanking. Jeff isn't back until he's signed the contract and seeing how no contracts have been signed by Mr. Jeff Hardy, no reason to get upset.
2GOLD Posted May 15, 2004 Report Posted May 15, 2004 Or maybe they are just renewing the Hardy Boyz name so they can sell the old school t-shirts. But no, it's probably to bring back the moron who fell asleep in the ring the last time we saw him. He'll be fired fasted than Lawler's son. Knowing Jeff, he'll show up late to the first RAW because he passed out painting his trailer again.
Guest I Got Banned for Sucking Posted May 15, 2004 Report Posted May 15, 2004 I can't believe that they'd trademark a name such as "Takashi". I don't see how they could, either. And The Hardy Boyz... I don't see see a real reason to want to sell the shirts if there's not going to be a reunion. Sure, they'd probably sell like Hall of the Stunner, but there has to be a reason behind it. And glennsoe, do you ever post in a thread that's already been posted or do you always orgasm over any piece of news with WWE's name attached to it?
The Czech Republic Posted May 16, 2004 Report Posted May 16, 2004 Suzuki is 6'3" and apparently his bodyguard is 5'10" There something funny about that, to me anyways "Marge, I've gotta watch this fight. You see that little guy that's just standing there? You just KNOW he's gonna do something big." *little Japanese guy howls, kills all the Italians*
Guest glennsoe Posted May 16, 2004 Report Posted May 16, 2004 @JB; You crank me up...I Haven't laughed so much in a long time...thanks "Brother"...
