ChrisMWaters Posted May 21, 2004 Report Posted May 21, 2004 It was a wild and bloody ending to the Judgment Day pay-per-view event, and in the end, John Bradshaw Layfield lived up to his promise and won his match against Eddie Guerrero. However, JBL’s victory came at a cost, as it was a Guerrero disqualification that allowed JBL to gain the win. Afterwards, an already bloody Guerrero unleashed a savage assault on JBL that left the challenger bloodied himself. How will both Superstars react to one of the most violent matches of their careers? Watch SmackDown! this week to find out. Despite losing to John Cena at Judgment Day, the French Phenom Rene Dupree will be given another shot at the United States Championship on SmackDown! Will Dupree be able to turn back the Champion this time? There is a new Cruiserweight Champion, as less than two weeks after suffering a stunning upset to Jacqueline, Chavo Guerrero rebounded at Judgment Day to win the Title back. The new Champion will have little time to celebrate his victory, as he is set to defend the gold against Spike Dudley and, believe it or not, Chavo Classic in a Triple Threat Match on SmackDown! Cruiserweights Billy Kidman and Akio are scheduled for one-on-one action. SmackDown! emanates this week from Las Vegas, home of SmackDown! Superstar Rico, who is still one half of the WWE Tag Team Champions, as Rico & Charlie Haas were victorious over Hardcore Holly & Billy Gunn at Judgment Day. Will the always colorful Rico have anything special planned for his homecoming? We do know that he and his partner will be taking on the F.B.I. How will they respond to his flamboyant actions? Also what type of Judgment Day fallout can we expect to see from Undertaker and Booker T? Only one way to find out … watch SmackDown! at 8/7 PM CT on UPN. And we start with Guerrero in an...interesting looking Low Rider.
ChrisMWaters Posted May 21, 2004 Author Report Posted May 21, 2004 An Eddie with a scar of war there.
Placebo Effect Posted May 21, 2004 Report Posted May 21, 2004 Jeez. No one is watching. I want to see Mordecai, but other than that, the DVD Player owns me tonight.
Lightning Flik Posted May 21, 2004 Report Posted May 21, 2004 Jeez. No one is watching. I want to see Mordecai, but other than that, the DVD Player owns me tonight. Surprisingly Mordecai wasn't offensive when I saw him do some stuff in the ring.
Nevermortal Posted May 21, 2004 Report Posted May 21, 2004 Mordecai needs new pants. Like something pleathery, ala Tajiri. I'd also give him white contacts to make him super weird looking. Aside from that, he's cool.
Guest Choken One Posted May 21, 2004 Report Posted May 21, 2004 Anyone looks good killing slugs like Kidman/Akio. Why could they sacrifice Spike and done a AKIO/Kidman/Chavo three way... God it's not that hard.
Papacita Posted May 21, 2004 Report Posted May 21, 2004 I like him, but the similarities between he and Taker may be a little too obvious.
Exslade ZX Posted May 21, 2004 Report Posted May 21, 2004 I have to say the Mordecai segment fucking ruled. They made the guy look like a beast plain and simple. He probaly won't do as well in a long, regular match...but if they keep putting him in segments like that...then it will rule. I applaud Akio for the bad ass bumps which was what really made it look great. I think I may actually become a huge fan of this gimmick :/. Although yes, he does need new pants.

I have to agree...but damn, those pants GOTTA GO. Makes him look too jobberish. Now I must edit my SD CAW because I gave him the seven tights with the same upper body logo (the cross). I guess it's good enough I guess. Anyway, Smackdown is sucking again outside of the Mordecai segment. (killing Kidman is brownie points in my book)
ChrisMWaters Posted May 21, 2004 Author Report Posted May 21, 2004 1,004: Oh, you know that you liked Eddie's low rider tonight.
Guest Man Of 1,004 Modes Posted May 21, 2004 Report Posted May 21, 2004 1,004: Oh, you know that you liked Eddie's low rider tonight. I was still playing HCTP at the time, so I missed it.... I started watching when Rico/Haas vs. Nunziboli started.
Guest Choken One Posted May 21, 2004 Report Posted May 21, 2004 curious...when did Chavo "classic" come about?
ChrisMWaters Posted May 21, 2004 Author Report Posted May 21, 2004 curious...when did Chavo "classic" come about? Couple of weeks ago. I guess "Chavo Guerrero Sr." was too long. And YAY! Classic has the GOOD WCW Eddie/Chavo theme.
Guest Man Of 1,004 Modes Posted May 21, 2004 Report Posted May 21, 2004 Ugh.....why must we suffer Lita two times a week!? And damn it, WWE can't get anything for Ultimo & Rey-Rey, but JACQUELINE AND CHAVO CLASSIC Can have CW Title Reigns!
AlaskanHero Posted May 21, 2004 Report Posted May 21, 2004 About Chavo Classic winning the Title match: Well, technically, Chavo Guererro won. Ooh! It's Booker T. Shango!
Papacita Posted May 21, 2004 Report Posted May 21, 2004 When did they start bleeping "ass" on Smackdown?
ChrisMWaters Posted May 21, 2004 Author Report Posted May 21, 2004 Heh...Funaki doing Booker's catchphrase!
Guest Choken One Posted May 21, 2004 Report Posted May 21, 2004 has turnin voodoo sapped Booker's promo skills?
Guest Choken One Posted May 21, 2004 Report Posted May 21, 2004 When did they start bleeping "ass" on Smackdown? when Janet showed her saggy tit.
Guest Man Of 1,004 Modes Posted May 21, 2004 Report Posted May 21, 2004 Funaki owning Booker T = hilarious
Corey_Lazarus Posted May 21, 2004 Report Posted May 21, 2004 Haha. THis thread is getting less posts than the TNA threads in that folder. Anyways...yeah. Just felt like making that comment. VOTE FOR ME.
Guest Choken One Posted May 21, 2004 Report Posted May 21, 2004 we aren't wasting 10 bucks for this. So we are the real winners.
AlaskanHero Posted May 21, 2004 Report Posted May 21, 2004 Haha. THis thread is getting less posts than the TNA threads in that folder. Anyways...yeah. Just felt like making that comment. VOTE FOR ME. How did I know he was going to say that? Scary....
Art Sandusky Posted May 21, 2004 Report Posted May 21, 2004 They bleeped "ass" on Smackdown as far back as 2001. Probably since late '99 when the PTC got all over the then-WWF.
Guest Man Of 1,004 Modes Posted May 21, 2004 Report Posted May 21, 2004 For all 3 of that care, Scott Keith is done with recapping SD.
Mecha Mummy Posted May 21, 2004 Report Posted May 21, 2004 I LOVE the fact that the SD thread has this little replies on it...
Papacita Posted May 21, 2004 Report Posted May 21, 2004 They bleeped "ass" on Smackdown as far back as 2001. Probably since late '99 when the PTC got all over the then-WWF. Nah, I'm pretty sure they were allowed to say "ass" after 9:00.
Papacita Posted May 21, 2004 Report Posted May 21, 2004 So Kenzo Suzuki's basically doing the "Hirohito" gimmick anyway, but on Smackdown?
Nevermortal Posted May 21, 2004 Report Posted May 21, 2004 Kurt Angle rising up from Rey's rocket booster thingie is silly.
Downhome Posted May 21, 2004 Report Posted May 21, 2004 This Kurt Angle thing, going up and down, fits right in with the "gimmicks" on Smackdown.
