kkktookmybabyaway Posted May 25, 2004 Report Posted May 25, 2004 Maybe, if pork was the only thing offered as a meal, it might be conscrued as insulting at worst... You left out the Chinese's worst tactic. Every night when you would eat your General Tso's Chicken dinner, the nightly fortune cookie says something mean to you...
Jobber of the Week Posted May 25, 2004 Report Posted May 25, 2004 While I know that POWs don't have many rights, I'm not sure if having a diet that agrees with their religion is one of them. I kind of draw the line with that stuff anyway. Should we also stop preventing them from shooting us? Because they too believe that's part of their religion.
Guest Cerebus Posted May 25, 2004 Report Posted May 25, 2004 I wish you would go back to not posting, Cerebus. Likewise. By the way, when when was I not posting?
Ripper Posted May 25, 2004 Report Posted May 25, 2004 well, its against our beliefs of human decency to eat other humanbeings. If we had people that were captured and they made them start eating human ass cheek, are you saying "Aw, buddy, its not that bad!" The only reason they are feeding them pork is to mock their religion. And once again as a reminder: They might not all be guilty. They are basically going: FUCK your religion. we are the united states BITCHES.
Guest Cerebus Posted May 25, 2004 Report Posted May 25, 2004 Instead of saying this or that, maybe we should get further sources other than Marvin saying he thought he heard on the news somewhere that we were forcing pork down prisoners' throats.
Guest MikeSC Posted May 25, 2004 Report Posted May 25, 2004 What the fuck is your problem, Mike? The guy just made a perfectly valid point, and you can't think of anything better to respond with then, "Stop Posting." How old are you really, Mike? 12? Why don't YOU not post here, either? I can live happily WITHOUT you camping in my ass. -=Mike
Guest MikeSC Posted May 25, 2004 Report Posted May 25, 2004 Maybe, if pork was the only thing offered as a meal, it might be conscrued as insulting at worst. Torture is not being offered pork, its being beaten while tied to a pole (a Saddam favorite), having a hose turned on while its down your throat (a technique treasured in the Phillipenes), being forced to drink motor oil (a common tactic by the Iranian SAVAK), being forced to stand naked in a freezing room with the air-conditioning going full blast (done by those progressive Singaporians), spending four years sitting absolutely still on a tiny stool made of hard rope that cuts into your skin (our 2008 Olympic hosts, the Chinese), having your balls hooked up to, and shocke with, a car battery (loved by our Turkish allies), being forced to eat spoonfuls of human and animal shit (those friendly Khmer Rouge guys) and I could go on but you get the point. You ask me, I'd take pork over that sort of crap any day of the week. Saddam ALSO liked breaking people's backs by basically tying them to fans and having guards twist the lower halves of their body the opposite direction. But, hey, at least he didn't make anybody eat pork chops. -=Mike

I avoid that sacred cow. Or orifice. Whatever. -=Mike
kkktookmybabyaway Posted May 25, 2004 Report Posted May 25, 2004 Hey when it comes to anal sex with sacred cows I'm with you. (Uh, wait a minute, let me reword that. Ah forget it.) I mean, it's bad enough we're feeding Muslim prisioners pork. Could you imagine the Hindu backlash if we did the nasty with cows?...

kkktookmybabyaway Posted May 25, 2004 Report Posted May 25, 2004 Our troops could also bang the bovine on a Sunday and piss off the Jews, too, for not resting on the day you're supposed to (or was it on Saturdays?)...
Guest MikeSC Posted May 25, 2004 Report Posted May 25, 2004 Our troops could also bang the bovine on a Sunday and piss off the Jews, too, for not resting on the day you're supposed to (or was it on Saturdays?) ... Saturday would piss off the Jews. Sundays would piss off the Catholics --- unless we were banging little boys, then they'd be pissed that the clergy weren't allowed to join in on the fun. -=Mike
Guest INXS Posted May 25, 2004 Report Posted May 25, 2004 Making them eat pork amounts to abuse and could be described as torture - the reason they were made to eat pork is that it is not allowed by their religion. Yes, eating food is torture. Let 'em starve. Why don't you go back to never posting? -=Mike Mike, you're being ignorant yet again. They weren't fed pork just because it's what the prison cook decided that was what was on the menu that day - it was done as a deliberate act of abuse. To play this as "we were feeding them, what more do they want?" is absurd. This revalation is a part of the torture scandal not merely a press release on prisoner's diet.
kkktookmybabyaway Posted May 25, 2004 Report Posted May 25, 2004 Speaking of ignorant, anyone hear about Hunter S. Thompson's recent online column that was edited by ESPN?...
kkktookmybabyaway Posted May 25, 2004 Report Posted May 25, 2004 He really is George W. HITLER. I bet ol' Adolf didn't feed the Jews in those camps pork... ESPN SCRUBS HUNTER S. THOMPSON BUSH BASH Monday May 24 2004 17:50:09 ET Hunter S. Thompson's ESPN column was scrubbed of controversy late Monday afternoon when online editors worried the famed gonzo journalist had gone too far. In a column entitled, "Let's Go to the Olympics," Thompson went off on the Abu Ghraib prison picture scandal, exclaiming: "Not even the foulest atrocities of Adolf Hitler ever shocked me so badly as these [Abu Ghraib] photographs did." But after being linked to the DRUDGE REPORT, a top editor demanded the sentence be immediately edited --without Thompson's okay, according to an ESPN.com staffer. "Hunter can go too far sometimes," the Bristol-based ESPN employee told the DRUDGE REPORT. The cleansed paragraph now reads: "These horrifying digital snapshots of the American dream in action on foreign soil are worse than anything even I could have expected. I have been in this business a long time and I have seen many staggering things, but this one is over the line. As with the original, Thompson still concludes with the thought: "Now I am really ashamed to carry an American passport."
Guest INXS Posted May 26, 2004 Report Posted May 26, 2004 That moron trying to equate what Hitler did with the current abuse doesn't take away from the fact that feeding the Iraqi prisoners pork, as trivial as it sounds to the ignorant, was terrible.

Jobber of the Week Posted May 26, 2004 Report Posted May 26, 2004 He really is George W. HITLER. I bet ol' Adolf didn't feed the Jews in those camps pork... You forgot the most important part. 'DEVELOPING...' As with the original, Thompson still concludes with the thought: "Now I am really ashamed to carry an American passport." Well hell, if they censored that, even I'd be upset. As it is I'm simply not suprised.
NoCalMike Posted May 26, 2004 Report Posted May 26, 2004 nothing in Iraq is even remotely close to the atrocities commited by Hitler(as far as what US Soldiers have done). What a dumbass.
Dr. Tom Posted May 26, 2004 Report Posted May 26, 2004 5000 is a little conservative. As far as i'm aware it's nearer to 15,000. If 5000 can't be proven, how do you expect to prove thrice that figure?
Guest Agent of Oblivion Posted May 26, 2004 Report Posted May 26, 2004 Considering that their whacked out religious fundamentalism is what's driving them to attack us, anything that attacks or humiliates that is fine by me. Serve with a glass of Manischewitz.
Guest Cerebus Posted May 26, 2004 Report Posted May 26, 2004 Thompson still concludes with the thought: "Now I am really ashamed to carry an American passport." Coming from the guy who has done every drug known to man and made up a few himself. Not that AoO isn't in this category as well, but, mind you, he's not the one saying this.
kkktookmybabyaway Posted May 26, 2004 Report Posted May 26, 2004 You forgot the most important part. 'DEVELOPING... Oh Christ. Don't get me started on that. In my world, Drudge's "Developing" doesn't exist...

How brutal and savage we are. Why, they should lop off a few more American heads as restitution for our horrible insensitivity. In a column entitled, "Let's Go to the Olympics," Thompson went off on the Abu Ghraib prison picture scandal, exclaiming: "Not even the foulest atrocities of Adolf Hitler ever shocked me so badly as these [Abu Ghraib] photographs did." Someone's apparently never been to the Holocaust Museum in Washington D.C.

Someone's apparently never been to the Holocaust Museum in Washington D.C. Obviously not. It's an excellent museum, but a horrible, horrible experience. I don't see how anyone that's gone through it can say garbage like this windbag.
