JHawk Posted May 27, 2004 Report Posted May 27, 2004 Check out the intro to the tag title match at Barely Legal and you'll be able to make out a huge "Fuck you D-Von" chant.
Guest Eric the Eagle Posted May 27, 2004 Report Posted May 27, 2004 On the subject of "You fucked up!"-chants; I've never received them myself, and thankfully the crowds have layed off it here, but a friend of mine got them in Denmark, at Nordic Wrestling Federation's "Ragnarok" show, off a headbutt of the ropes (which did hit), where he slipped while jumping. He says he's never felt worse in his entire life. It just drained all the enjoyment he might have had out of the match. A wrestler knows when he's fucked up a move, and trust me, it doesn't feel good. That chant doen't help things at all.
1234-5678 Posted May 28, 2004 Report Posted May 28, 2004 They marked out for SID and 911, for God's sake. NOBODY --- not even Lita and Gail --- are worse. -=Mike Sid was over all over the Northeast, big time in Philly and NY for years, not just in ECW. Technically 911 wasn't over. It was Paul E.'s booking of 911, he came out and beat the shit out of anyone the crowd didn't like. How could they not cheer for him? You could've put anyone in that slot. Which shows that ECW fans were as big a bunch of uber-marks as they liked to bitch about other fans being. -=Mike Or else that they could enjoy all aspects of wrestling, including big, two move stiffs, and weren't boreass "workrate" junkies.
King Cucaracha Posted May 29, 2004 Report Posted May 29, 2004 To Shane Douglas in the fourway when he won the TV Title "Where's your skateboard..."

Like I try to do. Also...I know it's probably not him...but the guy in your center picture looks like Vince McMahon with a weird wig.
Scroby Posted May 30, 2004 Report Posted May 30, 2004 Also...I know it's probably not him...but the guy in your center picture looks like Vince McMahon with a weird wig. ....Thats Axel Rose....
NoCalMike Posted May 30, 2004 Report Posted May 30, 2004 The "You still suck" chant that heels would recieve when they won the match or got the upperhand on the face,(this was in the earlier days). House Party '96, when Sandman got the singapore cane and the crowd was sure the match would end, and they chanted "BYE BYE KONNAN" and then Konnan reversed the move and shoved Sandman down, and he sat on the top turnbuckle, mocking the crowd's "bye bye konnan" chant.......that was classic. Blue Meanis must have hated the "You Fat Fuck" chants he always would receive. During the '95 - early '96 era, whenever the fans knew someone was jumping they would get the "you sold out" chant, but even better was the "You'll be back" chant and the "Bischoff/Vince is gonna screw you" chant.
Internet Warfare Posted May 30, 2004 Report Posted May 30, 2004 haha never heard most of these chants. If only WWE fans did some of these.
Guest netslob Posted May 31, 2004 Report Posted May 31, 2004 To Shane Douglas in the fourway when he won the TV Title "Where's your skateboard..." lol...now that's TOO funny...they need to bring that one back.
Guest The Last Free Voice Posted June 2, 2004 Report Posted June 2, 2004 What about when Dreamer got crotched and they busted out a High pitched Tommy! chant?
Youth N Asia Posted June 2, 2004 Report Posted June 2, 2004 ECW fans were crap by the time I started going to shows in 1999. Every tiny ass botch got "you fucked up" and the smallest table bumps got "holy shit."
River City Rocker Posted June 3, 2004 Report Posted June 3, 2004 I went to Anarchy Rulz in 1999. Before the show, to entertain ourselves, sections of the crowd would chant "You guys suck!" or "We fucked your mom!" to each other. After a minute, we all cheered, and then picked a different section to pick on. Then, the guy on the floor held up that sick "Drop Owen Here" sign, and the whole crowd turned on that one idiot... -Ben
ChrisMWaters Posted June 3, 2004 Author Report Posted June 3, 2004 Another chant that I thought about that wasn't mentioned... The "Welcome Back!" chant given to wrestlers who were gone for a long time from ECW and made their return
Guest Real F'n Show Posted June 8, 2004 Report Posted June 8, 2004 I was at Hardcore Heaven 2000 and during the Mikey Whipwreck/Simon Diamond/Little Guido match the lights in the building went out during the match on PPV. The crowd started chanting "You Fucked Up" until they came back on. Also at November to Remember 99 during the Awesome/Tanaka match when Awesome gives Tanaka a sit-out powerbomb off the apron through a table, the crowd gave that the loudest "holy shit" chant I've ever heard. Even Joey Styles got into it and said something along the lines of "My mom's gonna hate me for this, but HOLY SHIT!" And at Cyberslam 99 during the Mosco/Super Crazy match when Crazy gives Mosco 10 corner punches and the crowd counts along in Spanish. After the chanting stops Joey goes, "Thank god for Sesame Street!"
Guest netslob Posted June 8, 2004 Report Posted June 8, 2004 And at Cyberslam 99 during the Mosco/Super Crazy match when Crazy gives Mosco 10 corner punches and the crowd counts along in Spanish. After the chanting stops Joey goes, "Thank god for Sesame Street!" i always thought the "counting in Spanish" thing was pretty cerebral from a group of fans people generally regarded as "mutants".
TheBigSwigg Posted June 8, 2004 Report Posted June 8, 2004 the smallest table bumps got "holy shit." I get pissed off watching WWE when fans do this now. Tomko dropping Jericho through a table gets it. What a waste.
Youth N Asia Posted June 8, 2004 Report Posted June 8, 2004 Yeah, when Buh Buh (ECW spelling) put Balls through a fire table, and Spike through double fire tables...those are holy shits. Or an Awesome bomb over the ropes...those are holy shit chants. I think they toned the showes down a little in 98-99 and the fans I guess just started accepting less with "holy shit" chants
2GOLD Posted June 8, 2004 Report Posted June 8, 2004 What is most annoying about "You Fucked up" is it didn't start as a chant for blown spots. It was Stevie picking Raven over Francine I do believe. Someone may need to correct me on whom he picked but I'm almost sure it was Francine.
Guest netslob Posted June 9, 2004 Report Posted June 9, 2004 i think your right...i do remember Stevie making out with Francine in her first appearance... Joey Styles: "Well whatta you know...Stevie like GIRLS!"
Guest netslob Posted June 9, 2004 Report Posted June 9, 2004 i remember this chant from at least one ECW show: "Spread your cheeks, Stevie, spread your cheeks!" (*clap clap*)
