EdwardKnoxII Posted May 23, 2004 Report Posted May 23, 2004 http://www.ananova.com/news/story/sm_961345.html Ice-T to produce Hasselhoff rap album Ice-T is to produce David Hasselhoff's first hip-hop album. The pair are neighbours in Los Angeles and are said to have struck up a close friendship. Hasselhoff has had some success as a singer, releasing seven albums. He's also said to be very popular in Germany. Ice-T, who was one of the first real hip-hop stars in the late 1980s, said: "The man is a legend. And we are going to show a whole new side of him." The rapper is said to be convinced that the 51-year-old for Knight Rider and Baywatch actor can take on the biggest names in rap, reports The Sun. Ice-T added: "He's gonna come out as Hassle The Hoff - I promise you. The Hoff will surprise people with his rap skills and humour."
Karnage Posted May 23, 2004 Report Posted May 23, 2004 This will be brilliant. Brilliant in a Macho Man rapping sort of way.
Guest El Satanico Posted May 23, 2004 Report Posted May 23, 2004 :does double take: what :turns around and walks out:
starvenger Posted May 23, 2004 Report Posted May 23, 2004 Apparently, being on L&O: SVU has made Ice-T crazy. What's next, he's producing Chyna's album?
The Mandarin Posted May 23, 2004 Report Posted May 23, 2004 What's next, he's producing Chyna's album? Chyna has a deeper voice than Justin Timberlake.
starvenger Posted May 23, 2004 Report Posted May 23, 2004 What's next, he's producing Chyna's album? Chyna has a deeper voice than Justin Timberlake. Well, Chyna's got a deeper voice than most men, so that's not a shock...
Guest I Got Banned for Sucking Posted May 23, 2004 Report Posted May 23, 2004 Wow. Can you say "mid-life crisis"?
Guest El Satanico Posted May 23, 2004 Report Posted May 23, 2004 At least he won't be a mumbling marble mouth
starvenger Posted May 23, 2004 Report Posted May 23, 2004 Shouldn't this be in the music thread? Well, Hasselhoff's more "actor" than "musician", so I think it's OK...
Mole Posted May 23, 2004 Report Posted May 23, 2004 Shouldn't this be in the music thread? Well, Hasselhoff's more "actor" than "musician", so I think it's OK... Um, no. Since this is a music topic, it belongs in the music thread, So the thread for Soul Plane, Snoop Dogg's next movie, should go in the music thread since he is more of a "rapper" than a "actor?" Nope, wrong my good person.
The Czech Republic Posted May 23, 2004 Report Posted May 23, 2004 Soul Plane discussion should go in the "O.R. Polk, Jr." folder where NOBODY will read it
Vern Gagne Posted May 23, 2004 Report Posted May 23, 2004 The key is Hasselhoff taking this seriously. If he's in on the joke, it's no fun.

Cred to Ice-T he hets $$ and attention.
Si82 Posted May 23, 2004 Report Posted May 23, 2004 He sang on the Berlin Wall at one point. In a flashing light suit no less.
Mecha Mummy Posted May 23, 2004 Report Posted May 23, 2004 I'm predicting that the album sells well in Germany, and leads to Norm Macdonald showing up somewhere, likely Weekend Update, to remind us all of his theory...

Maybe Ice-T will offer you a contract instead of the Hoffster, kkk.

I'm sure once I bust out my Racist Dusty or Fry Mumia rhymes the contract will be taken away by The Man. Bitches be trippin' like they have a shoelace untied. Rhymes be tighter than a 25-year old virgin on her wedding night. yo yo yo...

Guest Deebo Posted May 23, 2004 Report Posted May 23, 2004 Hassel the Hoff?? HASSEL THE HOFF?!?!?!?! HASSEL THE HOFF?!!??!!!?!
kkktookmybabyaway Posted May 23, 2004 Report Posted May 23, 2004 And of course if he puts on a few more pounds he could be Hassel the Hoss...

Placebo Effect Posted June 15, 2004 Report Posted June 15, 2004 I'm going to bump this under the guise of clearing Ice-T's name. He was on Conan last night, and Conan asked him about the Hasselhoff rap album. Apparently, Ice-T was talking to an interviewer and he said that he'd be willing to produce a rap album for everyone, even David Hasselhoff, for $5 million. That was that, and for whatever reason, quotes that never came out of his mouth wound up being printed. It was a very funny segment. Once Conan showed Ice a clip of Hasselhoff's music video for his general music, Ice upped the price to $10 million.
