WWE Considering Bringing Back X-Pac?

Recommended Posts

I really don't see where all the hate for X-Pac is coming from. He's an average to good midcard heel, which is something both shows need right now. Just because they threw him into the nWo when they were desperate to keep the group going doesn't mean he'd be treated like a main eventer no matter what.

I'd rather have Lex

Ouch, I wouldn't mind X-pac if he was only on Smackdown. If he's on Raw, then he shouldn't have been brought back.

If X-Pac can get his act together and not use the same 3 moves he used to use in WWE a lot (spin kicks, Bronco Buster, and X-Factor) like he doesn't give a damn, then I probably wouldn't mind having him back on Smackdown. If he's on Raw though, it would be useless because you know he'll have something to do with HHH or Shawn Michaels on TV eventually and hog airtime from Benoit.

:Crosses Fingers::

Please, don't put him on Raw! Please, don't put him on Raw!

I just can't imagine what use he is at this point. Even as a jobber to the "stars" he seems useless.

Put this guy in the pile of "Thank you but no" with Sting, Konnan, and any other has-beens/never-weres that want to get back into the game.

Not for nothing but don't we all want SD to get better? Why make the show even worse than it is by sending this sack of shit overthere?

Is the Torch really that desperate for stories nowadays?

I personally cant stand the torch.

I absolutely loved when they quoted their "top hollywood insider sources" claiming that The Rock only has one more chance to make a blockbuster movie or he would be going back to WWE full time.

I wouldnt mind if he came back....as long as he got rid of that X-Pac gimmick. The gimmick is so dead and buried that its painfull to notice his exsistence.

Your all forgetting that Chyna won't let him wrestle anyway and will probably beat him up if he trys....or maybe Chyna wants back in so was using Sean to talk to Trips to get the to of them a job again :P

The main thing I remember is that Jericho always seemed to be fed to X-Pac, therefore, I am worried.

Did anyone notice that.

Actually, X-Pac was beating Chyna when they were together, and she didn't want to speak up about it or something like that. I guess that X-Pac is a much better fighter than Chyna, despite her being stronger than him.

I'm fairly sure that Joanie came out and said that wasn't true...or at least not totally true. Last I checked (as late as the beginning of May) they were still together.

X-Pac beat Chyna? That's a funny fucking visual. Doesn't Chyna have like 30 pounds of muscle on him anyway? Christ, I could kick Sean Waltman's ass. I could kick his ass if I was stoned off my ass.

Nah. She dropped a lot of muscle since she left WWF.

From what I can remember from the report, he choked her out and tried to kill her, leading to her getting a restraining order on him. X-Pac actually claimed she was beating him, and he in the incident in question, he only grabbed a hold to try and restrain her. IIRC, Joanie never showed up when the case went to court, and the whole thing was dropped. Plus she said in an interview that the original report blew the incident out of proportion.

A motivated X-Pac that knows what he's doing and wants to work can put on a *** match.

If that X-Pac comes back, I'd be for it.

Man, if he wrestled with that kind of intensity I would glady pay to see him back.

This man can work the WWE style. I do not see what the problem is. Look a couple weeks ago Brian Christopher got a second chance. I do not see the problem in Waltman returning. Besides if Bradshaw is getting a main-event push, why can't Waltman get a second chance.

You are mis-quoting me. But if you need me to explain my point, here it is in simpler terms. I believe that Waltman would be more benefitual to the WWE then Brian Lawler because he is a better worker and more name value.

The more I think about, the more I'd like to see X-Pac back in the WWE. Here are the pros and cons as I see them.

Pros

1. He's a good wrestler when motivated.

While he doesn't usually get to the four and five star range, he has no problem putting on solid *** matches on television, and has been known to go a little higher with a good PPV opponent. In fact, back in 1998, I remember he was one of the only ones bothering to wrestle a decent match on television.

2. He's got name recognition.

The average mark knows who he is already, and he would be easy to accept in an upper midcard role. He's got the instant credibility that Smackdown sorely lacks, and that Raw could even use some of in the midcard. Also, he could easily grab heel heat off of his past, or even get a little returning star face heat.

3. He's still young.

Yes, this one's true as well. At 32, he's six years younger than Booker T, and nine years younger than Rico. Unlike Sting and Lex who are on the verge of breaking down, X-Pac is perfectly capable of rising through the ranks, and still having time to succeed if he gets to the top.

Cons

1. He's had some substance abuse problems.

While this is certainly a downside, I don't think it's damning. He hasn't had the chronic, impossible to resolve problems like Scott Hall, and if he has to go off to rehab, they can always just run an injury angle, and use it to get someone over.

2. He's got some political power, which he's been known to use to his advantage.

Obviously, another Kane/X-Pac feud is the last thing anyone wants to see. However, if he goes to Smackdown this should be a non-issue as none of his buddies will be there to protect him. Even if he goes to Raw, HHH will be gone most of the summer, and it seems like HHH isn't even interested in trying too hard to protect him right now.

3. He wasn't very over in his last couple of runs.

This is more of a case of being in bad situations then being a bad worker. Obviously, he's capable of getting over, as shown by his work in 1998 and early 1999, when he was one of most over faces on the roster. However, when he was overpushed against Kane, and overpushed in the dying stages of the nWo, people rebelled against him, and he got "get off the TV screen"

heat. As long as he's kept in check, he should have no problem getting over.
